Vernon Rudolph Child 1 Child 2 Child 3 Scene 1: KKD History Narrator: Once upon a time in Winston Salem, North Carolina. There was a man named Vernon Rudolph. He was contemplating on what to do with his life. Setting: (In the Park) ~Enters Mr. Vernon Rudolph~ Vernon Rudolph: To be or not to be to build a house or to buy my uncles doughnut shop??? I---Imm booored.. Can somebody give me a sign!?! ~Enters the Children with food~ Child 1: Hey, lets play a game!!! (Excited) Child 2: What will we play?? (Soft spoken) Child 3: (shouts) FOOD FIGHT!!!! ~ The children begun tossing food at each other~ ~ One of them tossed a doughnut at Vernon Rudolph~ ~children exit~ Vernon Rudolph: (holding the doughnut at his hand) A doughnut??? (Smiles at the audience) I have a Business to attend to (Walks away) Narrator: Through the idea of a doughnut, Krispy Kreme was built on July 13, 1937 in Winston, North Carolina, USA. And began selling to local grocery stores. Mr. Vernon Rudolph even cut the hole in an outside wall and started selling hot Original Glazed doughnuts directly to customers on the sidewalk. Scene 2: KKD Present - 2008 fiscal year Characters: Presentor (board member) Board member 1 Board member 2 Board member 3 Board member 4 Board member 5 CEO (Daryl Brews)

Setting: KKD Company, board room ~Presentation of the 2008 fiscal year while eating KKD~

Presentor: As you can see, the companys system wide second quarter fiscal 2008 sales decreased approximately 0.5% from the second quarter of fiscal year 2007. ~Board members contemplating~ Board member 1: Then how much was the revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2008? Presentor: The Revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 decreased 7.5% to $104.1 million compared to $112.5 million. Presentor: Our companys net loss for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 was $27 million, compared to a net loss of 4.6 million in the comparable period of fiscal 2007. Board member 2: Apparently, we need to take action as soon as possible. If it continues the company will Go bankrupt. ~Everyone agrees and talks in their seats~ Board member 3: Then, we must take steps to transform Krispy Kreme Doughnut and improve its performance!
