And Info types are Papers were we enter employee information like Address is one Info type and in that Sub-types are like Permanent Address, Temporary Address, Communication Address ... Folder -> Sub-Folder -> Papers In the same way Master Data -> Info types -> Sub-types. T-code to mentain Master Data PA30 In this topic we basically wanted to show where the configuration takes place and based on your client requirement you will maintain sub-types. Example Info type 40 - Objects on Loan where sub-types are like 01 - Keys, 02 Clothing, 03 - Books, ....99 - Laptops..

Just go though one by one steps and start mentain sub-types in SPRO (Back end) that will come and sit in Master Data PA30

Use F4 at Sub-type to maintain

Like the above example. 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 91, 92 are maintained at Back end (SPRO)

Hi Master Data PA40 Design will teach later. Please try to config all Master data Sub-types, even if you not do you can follow SAP Standard one.

Hi Trainer, In Sandbox system whether we will be able to see all these default infotype values or we need to create? eg: in marital status 0-single 1-married etc all these values will be there in the system or we need to create it? where we will integrate this to OM and other modules? what are the important infotypes we need to study how to customize infotype? Thanks Anish

Hi Yes in every system the SAP standards will be there. Integration we will take in next classes. Customize infotypes we will teach in next classes, infact customize infotype is ABAP HR responsibility but still we will teach. Thanks

Importance of Info type: Info types used to maintain Employee Master data. Like TAX Details in one info type, Employee Salary details in one info type.

When you run Payroll -> System reads data from info types. And process accordingly like one employee basic pay may different from other so payroll will run and provides the results as per info types. Thanks
