2. a) A line AB, 80mm long its end A, 15mm above HP and 20mm in front of VP. It top and front views measure 70mm and 51mm respectively. Draw its projections and find out the true inclination. [20] OR b) The projection of a line measure 80mm in the top view and 70mm in the front view. The midpoint of line is 45mm in front of VP and 35mm above HP. One end is 10mm in front of VP and nearer to it. The other end is nearer to HP. Draw the projections of the line. Find true length and true inclinations with reference planes. [20] 3. a) A hexagonal lamina of side 30mm is resting on HP on one of its edge and inclined at 40o to HP. Its surface is inclined at 35o to VP. Draw its projections. 3. Draw the top view, front view and left side view of the object shown in fig.
CAT-3 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. Draw the projections of points on a common reference line. Take 20mm distance between the projectors. Point A is 10mm above H.P and 25mm infront of V.P. Point B is 10mm above H.P and on the V.P. Point c is 25mm below H.P and 20mm behind V.P. Point D is 20mm below H.P and 20mm infront of V.P. Point E is on the reference line. Point F is on both H.P and V.P. 2. A line PQ 60mm long has its end P, 15mm above HP and 20mm infront of VP. Its top view and front view measure 50mm and 40mm respectively. Draw the projections of the line and determine its inclinations with HP and VP. 3. A line JK 80mm long makes an angle of 30 with H.P and 20 with V.P. The line is such that its lower most point J is 15mm above HP and 25mm infront of V.P. with the line in the first quadrant. Draw the projections of the line JK. CAT-4 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. A circular plate of diameter 50mm is resting on H.P on a point on the circumference with its surface inclined at 45 to HP and perpendicular to VP. Draw its projections. 2. A regular hexagonal lamina of 30mm side resting on one of its corner on HP. Its surface inclined at 45 to HP. The plane of the diagonal through the resting corner in HP makes an angle of 40 with VP. Draw its projections.
3. A square lamina PQRS of 40mm side with one of its edge on HP, and lamina inclined at an angle of 40 to HP and one of its edge inclined at an angle of 35 to VP. CAT-5 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. A hexagonal pyramid of base side 25mm and axis hight 55mm is resting on H.P with one of its base corners, such that the axis is inclined at 45 to HP and parallel to VP. Draw the projection of the pyramid. 2. A hexagonal prism of base side 25mm and height 55mm is resting on HP with one of its base corners, such that the axis is inclined at 55 to HP and parallel to VP. Draw the projection of the solid.
3. A cylinder of diameter 35mm and height 55mm is resting on the ground on its base. It is than tilted such that its axis makes an angle of 40 with HP. Draw its projections. CAT-6 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. Draw the projections of a hexagonal prism of base side 25mm and axis height 55mm when it is lying on the ground on one of its rectangular faces and the axis is inclined at 55 to the VP. 2. A square prism of base side 25mm and length 50mm lies on HP on one of its longer edges with its faces equally inclined to the HP. Draw the projection when its axis is inclined at 50 to the VP. 3. A pentagonal prism of base side 25mm and axis length 55mm is resting on HP on one of its rectangular faces with its axis is inclined at 45 to the VP. Draw its projections. CAT-7 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. A cube of 45mm is resting on HP with the vertical faces are equally inclined to VP. A section plane cut the cube at 50 to VP and perpendicular to HP and is 15mm away from the axis. Draw the top view and sectional front view and true shape of the section. 2. A pentagonal pyramid of base side 40mm and of altitude 65mm rest on HP on its base with a side perpendicular to VP. A section plane inclined at 45 to VP and perpendicular to HP and is 15mm away from the axis and the reference line. Draw the top view and sectional front view and true shape of the section. 3. A hexagonal prism of base side 35mm and height 65mm is resting on HP with one of its rectangular faces with its axis perpendicular to the VP. It is cut by a vertical plane inclined at 30 to the VP. The section plane is passing at a distance 25mm from the axis from the observer. Draw the top view and sectional front view and true shape of the section. CAT-8 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. A pentagonal prism of base side 35mm and height of 70mm rests on HP on its base with a side parallel to VP. A section plane inclined at 30 to the HP and perpendicular to VP passes through the mid-point of the axis. Draw the development of the lateral surface of the lower portion of the prism. 2. A square prism of side 40mm and of altitude 60mm rest on HP on its base with two of its faces inclined at 45 to VP. A section plane inclined at 40 to HP and perpendicular to VP bisects the axis. Draw the development of the lateral surface of the remaining portion of the prism.
3. A cylinder of diameter of base 40mm and axis 55mm long is resting on the base on HP. It is cut by a section plane, perpendicular to VP and inclined at 45 to HP. The section plane is passing through the top end of an extreme generator of the cylinder. Draw the development of the lateral surface of the cut cylinder. CAT-9 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. Draw the isometric view of a hexagonal prism of the base side 26mm and of height 50mm is resting on HP with one of its rectangular feces and its axis is perpendicular to VP. 2. Draw an isometric view of a hexagonal pyramid of side 26mm and of height 78mm. The pyramid rest on HP such that an edge of the base is parallel toVP. 3. A frustum of a squre pyramid of bottom base 50mm and top base 25mm has an height of 70mm and rest on HP with its bottom base and one edge parallel to the VP. Draw the isometric view of the frustum.
1. A pentagonal pyramid of 25mm base side and axis height 50mm is standing on its base on the ground plane with a base side parallel to and 30mm behind PP. The central plane is 30mm to the left of the apex and the station point is 50mm infront of PP and 40mm above the ground plane. Draw the perspective view of the pyramid. 2. A cylinder of diameter 50mm and length 60mm lies on ground with its axis perpendicular to the picture plane and one of its circular base touching the picture plane. The station point is 45mm to the right of the axis of the cylinder, 40mm infront of the picture plane and 70mm above the ground plane. Draw the perspective projection of the cylinder. 3. A cone of base diameter 50mm and axis hight 60mm resting on ground with its base. The vertex of the cone 30mm behind PP. The station point is 50mm to the right of the vertex, 40mm infront of PP and 70mm above GP. Draw the perspective view of the cone.
