CAT QUESTIONS CAT-1 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. Draw an ellipse given the for the following conditions: (a) Distance of the focus from the directrix is 60mm (ii) Eccentricity is 3/4. 2. Construct a Parabola when the distance of its focus from its directrix is equal to 60mm and Eccentricity is 1. Also draw a tangent and a normal to the same. 3. A circle of 40mm diameter rolls over a horizontal table without slipping. A point on the circumference of the circle is in contact with the table surface in the beginning and after one complete revolution. Draw the path traced by the point. Draw a tangent and normal at any point on the curve. CAT-2 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. A circle of diameter 50mm rolls on the outside of another circle of diameter 180mm without sliding. Draw the path traced by a point on the smaller circle. 2. Draw the top view, front view and right side view of the object shown in fig.

3. Draw the top view, front view and left side view of the object shown in fig.

CAT-3 Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30) 1. Draw the projections of points on a common reference line. Take 20mm distance between the projectors. Point A is 10mm above H.P and 25mm infront of V.P. Point B is 10mm above H.P and on the V.P. Point c is 25mm below H.P and 20mm behind V.P. Point D is 20mm below H.P and 20mm infront of V.P.
