Karen F. Lims Reflection Paper for the course Theory of Structures under Engr. Isaac Janoras:

The whole Architecture department has been struggling to maintain the faculty for the students to be of reach to them or with best said within the architecture faculty. Reasons are still counting but majority of them leads to the additional stress the students would have to cope up with them being handled by a faculty from another department, especially from the engineering department. The engineering faculty is well known to the students to have the most challenging issues a student could have. For the Architecture students, words of luck are spreading in hope to not have an engineer for an instructor for it will be a sure failure added to the inability to inculcate the lessons well. But to oppose all those, I find this semesters Architectural Science to be of better learning experience to me comparing to the previous and to top it all, an engineer is teaching us the subject. It was also a surprise to us to find the course easier to understand. The instructors way of teaching us has the highest possible adjustment an engineer could have, I believe. This semester, I understood the depth of various lessons from the prequel course of this which is the strength of materials. Although I believe we could have learned more if we were to have a regular attendance with the instructor of course. But still we are thankful that we didnt encounter much stress and misunderstandings with the course. Our thanks go to our professor, Engr. Isaac Janoras for having great consideration for us, and to God.
