Please try to learn these before the weekend! Suitable for people over the age of 18 only, maximum 35 participants. All participants will be covered by Berwick Operatic Society insurance policy. Participants will study vocal technique, acting skills, performance and improvisation under the directorship of Andy Reiss (http://www.beyondthebarricade.com), the Resident Director for Les Miserables on its last UK Tour. Andy has also performed in Les Mis in the West End, Manchester, Dublin and Edinburgh playing most of the male roles, including Enjolras and Jean Valjean. He has also played Che in Evita in the UK National Tour, and performed in Chess, in the UK and Norway. Andy recently starred in Jekyll & Hyde at the Teatru Manoel, Malta. Andy has directed the Les Miserables Masterclass in London for Cameron Mackintosh and he directed the first UK production of Seussical the Musical in Glasgow, and worked on Godspell, The Rocky Horror Show and a new production of Seussical in Malta. Each year, Andy directs a resident season at the Malvern Theatre for young performers. He is Director and performer in one of the most highly acclaimed touring shows - Beyond the Barricade. He also collaborates with Blackburn International and Cunard to put top quality productions on the worlds biggest cruise liners. Teas / coffees / lunch included. If desired, a group meal will be organised on Saturday evening in Berwick at extra cost. We hope to allocate free car parking once again (T.B.C.), but would ask that people lift share as much as is practicable as free spaces will be limited. At 4pm on Sunday afternoon, we will perform our condensed version of Miss Saigon. Tickets can be purchased for family and friends in advance or on the door. Anyone travelling to Berwick especially for the weekend can check out the wide range of bed and breakfast accommodation available in the town. The Castle Hotel is very convenient for our venue, (thecastleberwickupontweed.co.uk), the YHA and the Travelodge about twenty minutes walk away.
