THE WORD FUSE

The Word Fuse Part I was the first installment played of the two part games series The Word Fuse. A game designed to test ones ability of foreign languages and foreign words. The first Round was worth 25 points which entails players to decode a list of foreign words; cracking up their relation to one another. Round two was worth 50 points which consisted of formulating sentences with words displayed in foreign languages. Lastly entirety of Round I. French native Alphonse B. missed his chance to shine. He had multiple chances to rack up points for his team giving the circumstances that so many Roman languages were on display. The Cereal Killers Dayana X. and MaKenzie N. brought humor to the table. Bursting into lols every now and then it didnt seem like either team mates were fazed by their disastrous first round. Dayana X. failed to translate the equivalent to the German word black (shwarz) even though one of the hints was the Spanish translation (negro) listed as

Round III was worth 100 points in which competitors had to match foreign words to their English synonym. The team with the highest set of points by the end of Round III carried on to The Ultimate Championship Qualifications. a hint; as if that couldnt be any more obvious. What went down in Round II? The competition picked up during Round II with several teams picking up speed. During this Round a list of foreign words were displayed all meaning different things but to be meant to formulate sentences. Teams had to sort out each foreign word jigsaw and put them into sentences. Foreign words on display ranged from Russian, Greek, Arabic and French. The Muffin Mens William M. and Slentin A. demonstrated what theyre made

What went down in Round I? During Round I competitors were given a list of foreign words all with the same meaning in which they have to decode what the relation to each is and translate them into English. Foreign words in displayed ranged from Korean, Dutch, Spanish and German. Scared Hitless team-members Paulina M. and Louis W. lead Rotations I-II. Paulina Ms two years of Dutch studies aided both her and her team mate every time a Dutch word was at display. Multiple Scorgasms Xavier R. and Alphonse B. were a total miss throughout the

out of during Round II. They didnt do as good as they did during Round I but still enforcing a strong front. Slentin A. pulled his teams weight by successfully matching Yiddish and Italian words to form a sentence. His strategy was common sense or so he claims it so. The Yager Bombers Meliah B. and Liang X. were slowly creeping up behind Scared Hitless; were observed aiding out fellow teammates from The Bomb Squad. The Bomb Squad continued to sink into a sinkhole during Round II. Canadian native Warley W. won The Word Fuse Romania (played for team Silent Assassins) but wasnt bringing his A-game to the table. His teammate Charlotte L. was stalled waiting on Warley to take the lead each rotation. The Cunning Stunts Alex W. and Samantha P. failed to rack up any points by the end of Round II leaving them both confused and scrambling for a new game strategy. What went down in Round III? Tensions flared up during Round II the round before Ultimate Championship Qualifications. Round II consisted of matching foreign words on display to their English synonym. Foreign words on display were from German, Danish, Portuguese and Japanese. The Cereal Killers Dayana X. and MaKenzie N. slowly but confidently steadily racked up some points each round. Although they didnt remain a threat during Round III their game play improved. MaKenzie N. did make occasional jokes about the host being biased during a break that didnt sit too well with The Muffin Men *sigh*. The Yager Bombers Meliah B. and Liang X. were undefeated by Rotation II-Round III nailing it each time. Chinese native Liang X. became notorious for matching each foreign word on display to its English equivalent within seconds. The Cunning Stunts Alex W. and Samantha P. were observed trying to trick The Muffin Men into choosing the wrong answer and were deducted points for interfering during Rotation II-Round III. Seems like the Cunning Stunts need to learn to follow rules tut tut. In the end it was The Yager Bombers the team with the highest set of

points by the end of Round III. By default this made Meliah B. and Liang X. the two qualifiers for The Ultimate Championship Qualifications. The Ultimate Championship Qualifications The Yager Bombers Meliah B. and Liang X. both seemed confident about now competing against one another for The Ultimate Championship Title. Meliah B. missed her chance to score when she failed to decode the meaning of the Swahili word for hope (ekemana) paving the way for Liang X. to score. Liang was at his best and full speed. A mix of foreign words were displayed the last two rounds in which they had to match them each to their English equivalent. The lists of foreign words were in Arabic, Tamil, Hindi and Maori. Meliah B. only scored 100 out of possible 300 while Liang X. scored 300 out of 300 making him the individual team member with the highest set of individual points; by the end of The Face Off U.S.A Part I.
