Holly and Charlie discussed the outcomes of the October 30, 2012 meeting with the City of Rockford regarding Lot 193. Meeting minutes are attached. Charlie commented that the dam on the southside of the property is in need of some work. This should be addressed with McKiski. Mr. McKiski requested that the Association maintain the trees located on lots 166 and 181 (those abutting Rote Road on the inner property). After review with the City, the trees are not terrace trees, city trees, or trees on common association land, but rather the trees are located on lots 166 and 181. The group agreed that these trees are important to the neighborhood as they add to the overall positive appearance and aesthetic of the neighborhood. The group will continue the discussion at the April meeting. Holly outlined the research she found on applying for Conservation Land designation for Lot 193. The process is lengthy and requires coordination with the City and the Park district; however the end result is much lower taxes for Lot 193. Holly will work on the application and provide an update at the April meeting. Charlie commented that we should schedule a Lot 193 work day in 2013. This will be scheduled at the April meeting. Kathy Roos made a motion and Les Stegh seconded the motion to adjourn. The meeting ended at 6:40pm Respectfully submitted by: Holly Romenesko
