Beauty of Cinema Since time immemorial, humans have tried to capture every possible essence available around.

This essence could be anything from scent to scenery, emotion to frailty. One such confinement of nuances is cinema. We all know that whatever we see on the screen is a projection of continuous reel of photographs that seems to be unsealed. For some strange reason, humans wanted posterity in almost everything they ever did. No other creature shows such vanity and with such refinement. Even today's, scientist are bewildered by the graphical drawings they encounter in age old caves which depicts daily chores like fishing, hunting or even festivals. Nonetheless, our progression got an impetus with industrial revolution and simple machines were invented which eventually assembled together to form a more complex and intricate machines that captures moments! Today, cinema mirrors our contemporary thinking, our ways and our aspiration. Cinema was always present in human society in the form of plays, dramas and skits but aforementioned revolution just made it easy to slave those scenes. Modern day facilitated narrowing of distance and better conduction of views and notions that dwells in a particular place through the medium of cinema. Cinema got its definition through people such as Fellini, Capra, Kurosawa and other visionaries who had the stomach to go against the inert norms. During the beginning of the twentieth century, most were well contented with silent cinema but with the introduction of talkies, modern cinema took a whole new spectrum. One distinct aspect notable is that once the miscibility of sound and vision was developed, it duly made it easy for directors to fulfill their artistic temper in a more sating manner. It took a lot of efforts in the initial days with constant restraint and purge on the elements of free cinema. But sometimes, it took eccentrics like Howard Hughes, Franois Truffaut, Charlie Chaplin, or Kirk Douglas to rake aside the stranglehold. Nevertheless, today's cinema contains gamut of these legendary dreamers. But then, we won't see the best every now and then, still there are room for betterment and introspection. In urban cinema, the balance has shifted from elite excellence to masses demand. And these hoi polloi want something that removes their strained mind from common day hustle. That won't presumably mean good cinema. It could mean that some are looking for romantic duels or comedy, action packed drama or some prefer cheap teen flicks with least obeisance to cinematic standard. Commercialization has truly made a difference and theatres can't hold pig-headed stance on conveying good cinema alone so even shreds of below par movies are welcome for Lucerne' sake.
