After 8 days Mr.Brown goes on vacation and Mr. Black begins to work for a period of 6 days. How many days will it take Mr.Blue to complete the contract? A. 7 B. 8 C. 11 D. 12 Ans.C

The answer is C. 3 houses to paint. Brown can paint 1 in 6 days. Black can paint 1 in 8 days. Blue can paint 1 in 12 days. If brown paints for 8 days, he paints 8/6 houses If black paints for 6 days, he paints 6/8 houses The fraction of houses left to paint is 3 - 8/6 + 6/8 = 3 - 32/24 + 18/24 = 3 - 50/24 = 3/1 - 50/24 = 72/24 - 50/24 6

Well if its reduced bt 30% it wud be at 70%. now to make it go back to 100% u wud use the equation 70% * x = 100% Solve for x, so 100% / 70% = x x= 142.29%. Now subtract 100% from this to show how much it shud be increased rather than enlarged. 142.29%-100%=42.29%

Ramesh lights the two candles at the same time. When he went to bed he saw the thicker one is twice the length of the thinner one. How long ago did Ramesh light the two candles . Ans: 3 hours.

We know it must be over two hours, since for the thicker to be twice as long as the thinner (and since the thicker will have partially gone too), that means over half of the thinner must have gone. In actual fact, Ramesh must have lit the candles three hours before he went to bed. After 3 hours, the thinner one would only have a quarter left. The thicker one would still have half left. Therefore the thicker one would have double the length of the thinner on (half is a quarter doubled).

89. If there are 1024*1280 pixels on a screen and each pixel can have around 16 million colors Find the memory required for this? Ans. 4MB

1024 * 1280 = 1310720 pixels. 16 million colours comes from the fact that each pixel has 24 bits of information to store the colour , and 2^24 = 16777216 possible values for the colour. 24 bits = 3 bytes. Multiplying 1310720 by 3 gives 3932160 bytes. This is approximately 4 MB of video memory. But this does not take into account other requirements such as animation , which will require buffer memory far in excess of this simple requirement.

92. A student is ranked 13th from right and 8th from left. How many students are there in totality ? Answer:

Since there is student whose number is 13th from the right side and the same student has number 8th from the left, so in both the case the student is common. Hence the calculation should be like this: 12+1=13 7+1=8 since 1 is common in both the case hence, we add: 12+7+1=20 hence there are total 20 students standing in a cue.

Answer:

23

Www.technicalsymposium.com
So far, the team has played 24 games. 16 2/3 % = 1/6, so there will be 6(24) = 144 games total. .750(144) = 108 games needed to be won 108 - 15 = 93 The team needs to win 93 games. If 1.5 litres of the solution spills out of the jug, and the jug is then filled to capacity with water, approximately what percent of the resulting solution in the jug is salt? ANSWER: initially quantity of salt = (15/100)*4=.6 ltr when 1.5 ltr sol spills,the salt lost is (15/100)*1.5=.225 ltr now salt left = .6-.225=.375 ltrs as jug is filled to its capacity,total sol = 5ltrs % of salt =(0.375/5)*100=7.5% 103. ANSWER: Virtual Functions are of two types one is Pure Virtual Function and other is simple Virtual Functions These functions are mostly used in C++ and C# Pure Virtual function is virtual void abc()=0; This will make the class abstract and the object of class cannot be created . and the function must be overwritten in derived class.

Virtual functions are just like normal functions but they are used in Dynamic Polymorphism . virtual void get() { }

There are two tables, one is SQL Server Database and another one ORACLE Database. Let it be a Parent and Child Table Relationship If you update the Table in ORACLE, how to update the TABLE in SQL Server? ASSumption answers: we can use foreign keys as they establish relation between parent and child table and also if any updation or deletion is done in parent table the child table is also done with the changes I think the best way would be to use triggers. Triggers are used to initiate an event. So when a parent table is updated it will automatically trigger the child table to be updated. Do let me know whether I am correct. assign one table should be foreign key another table should be primary key 109. what is the difference between at and atx mother boards? ANSWER: RTTI is a compiler was developed by microsoft with the help of visual C which work is, if we don't declared datatype to particular variable, then this compiler take defaultly the datatype of the variable according to the data defined to it. E.g. if we write only#include "stdio.h"void main() { x=5; y=6.9; z= 'A'; . . .. }Then compiler takes defaultly x as integer, y is float & z is char types.

Run-time type information (RTTI) is a mechanism that allows the type of an object to be determined during program execution. RTTI was added to the C++ language because many vendors of class libraries were implementing this functionality themselves. This caused incompatibilities between libraries. Thus it became obvious that support for run-time type information was needed at the language level. There are three main C++ language elements to run-time type information: 1)The dynamic_cast operator. :- Used for conversion of polymorphic types. class B { ... }; class C : public B { ... }; class D : public C { ... }; void f(D* pd) { C* pc = dynamic_cast<C*>(pd);// ok: C is a direct base class // pc points to C subobject of pd B* pb = dynamic_cast<B*>(pd);// ok: B is an indirect base class // pb points to B subobject of pd

ANSWER: Any electronic system that uses a CPU chip, but that is not a general-purpose workstation, Such systems generally use microprocessors, or they may use custom-designed chips or both. They are used in automobiles, planes, trains, space vehicles, machine tools, cameras, consumer and office appliances, cellphones, PDAs and other handhelds as well as robots and toys. The uses are endless, and billions of microprocessors are shipped every year for a myriad of applications. Although there are embedded versions of popular operating systems, low-cost consumer products can use chips that cost less than a dollar and have very limited storage for instructions. In such cases, the OS and application may be combined into one program. 113.
