PREREQUISITES
Workstation that is not member in the domain must install domain root certificate to the trust root in the local computer. Tester will use only the client that Lab Support will provide.

Environment by default displays with pictures, we can change by configure in the Lync options,
STATUS What is my status? The lync system takes the client status from the outlook & the computer status
So if I did not touch the computer a few minutes he would write "not available" or "Away" and how long, if I'm meeting my status will be "in a meeting".
Also in Emails we can see the status of our contacts, We can see the contact name and next to it his status by color.

What we have?
Add contact to one of your contact group depend by his agreement to your wish. If the contact is already exist we will get deferent options

CONTACTS PERMISSIONS
We can set a permission level to a contact,
After we added contact the system will send a friend request to the contact where it will set the permission level for you, (in the contact side). Of course, if someone adds you as a contact the system will send a request to you, and you will choose the group and permission level for the contact request.

CONVERSATION HISTORY We have the conversations history by default in 2 locations, one in outlook under Conversation History folder, second in the Lync client under conversations.

CONVERSATIONS, Double click on the contact, a new windows be will open, the conversation windows. In this window we can make: IM, as Instant message Place a call (voice) Make a video call Start to share (monitor, Programs, PowerPoint presentations and more)
We can change the conversation type by clicking the type of conversation, we will not disconnect from the conversation, just will change the type.

We can add contact to the conversation by drag the contact to the conversation.

CONVERSATION WITH GROUP Right click on the group we will get list of options

I chose to demo "Send an instant message", we get a window with the names of the group and instant message capabilities, and of course you can do all the capabilities and additional capabilities in transitions to correspondence

VIDEO CALLS We can see that we can use IM in the video call. (Lync 2013-Very important, when we answer a video call we must start our video)
When the video is more than 3 Participants, you can choose the layout.

TAG CONTACT FOR STATUS CHANGE ALERTS Right click on the contact, and click on "Tag for status change Alerts"

In every change in contact status we will get windows that write us what is the new status.

ONLINE MEETING Outlook -> Calendar -> chose date and time like normal meeting and click on "New Lync Meeting", on the toolbar.

Use these keyboard shortcuts while in a contact card. Use ALT+ENTER to open a contact card.

Open the Help home page (on the Help menu). Exit full-screen view if present. Otherwise, the Conversation window closes only if there is no audio, video, or sharing occurring. Self-mute/unmute audio. Add audio/end audio. When on a mode button, opens the corresponding callout. When focus is on a mode button, a default action is taken. So for audio, mute or unmute occurs, whereas for video, it starts or stops the camera. Dismiss or hide open callout or bubble that has keyboard focus.

When the content space is in focus, TAB through the controls for PPT sharing (Prev arrow, Next arrow, Thumbnails, and Notes). When focus is on content area, move to the next click, or slide, if no click for animation is on the current slide.
