Fig. 75: View Of Air Cleaner Cover Courtesy of CHRYSLER LLC NOTE: It is normal for turbo charger equipped vehicles to have a small amount of oil accumulation in the air cleaner housing. The amount depends on driving style.
1. Unfasten clasps on sides of air cleaner housing cover. Lift cover off air cleaner housing. See Fig. 75. 2. Remove filter element. NOTE: On vehicles equipped with a turbo charger, the make-up-air filter should
be replaced when replacing air filter element. 3. On turbo charger equipped vehicles remove the make-up-air filter element. 4. If necessary, clean the inside of the air cleaner housing.

3. Place cover over air cleaner housing. Snap clasps in place. HOUSING-AIR CLEANER

2. Pull air cleaner housing (2) straight up to remove. 3. Remove the inlet duct (3) from the air cleaner housing (2). See Fig. 77.

2. Make sure the rubber grommets, for the air cleaner housing lower pins, are in place when reinstalling the air cleaner housing (2). The rubber grommets mount to the PDC bracket (4). 3. Push air cleaner housing (2) down while aligning pins into the grommets. 4. Connect the throttle body air inlet hose/clean (1) air hose to the air cleaner housing (2).
