2. What are the main desires that drive the actions and attitudes of most people? Whats the source of those desires?

3. What determines whether a desire is wholesome or sinful?

4. Respond to Davids statement: Our deepest craving is not ultimately for something but for Someone. God has created us to be satisfied in Him.

5. Do you find enjoyment and pleasure in your relationship with Jesus? Explain.

6. What steps can Christians take to deepen their dependence on and enjoyment of Jesus?

7. What do you love and long for in your everyday life that may be keeping you from experiencing a deeper love for Jesus and a greater longing for Him?

Application: Throughout this week pay special attention to any experiences you enjoy deeply. These can involve food, music, conversations, entertainment, and so on. When you encounter something thats especially enjoyable, make a conscious effort to connect that experience with God. Thank Him for blessing you and specifically praise Him as the Giver of good things and our ultimate Source of satisfaction.
