L. Farmer EDT 5500, Summer II, 2013 Assignment 3 8. An image of a moving object shot in the dark and of one shot in the light.

Using the Shutter Priority setting, I set the shutter at 20 seconds with a tripod to keep the camera as stable as possible for the long exposure. This is my son moving a candle in a circle. EXTRA CREDIT: Some oops! Again my son to the rescuefor me AND the little kitten he found in front of our house that somebody had dumped. He is standing still as he plays with the cat with a feather. I shot this on a tripod using the Manual Mode this time. I set the shutter speed at 0.3 of a second to show the motion and set the aperture at 32 so that not too much light could overexpose the shot.

I shot this fast enough to freeze the blades of the fan using the Av setting, but too fast which didnt provide enough light and it was underexposed. 1/500 was way too fast. I found that 1/250 was fast enough to freeze the blades and with flash got the light I needed.

Shelby L. Farmer EDT 5500, Summer II, 2013 Assignment 3 Using the Av setting again, I used a much too long exposure of 6 seconds! Sure the blades were blurred, but too much light was allowed during the exposure.

Here I used the shutter priority at 0.3 of a secondnot fast enough to completely freeze the blades.

I was working on a depth of field shot to make the background blurred and the foreground in focus. The only problem is that it was a little under-exposed and came out to dark I thought.
