Dharma and Yoga Fest

Dharma and Yoga Fest aims to promote wholesome and meaningful living by exploring the different forms of yoga. The program will include five parallel tracks described below:

Raj Yoga or postural yoga including pranayama (breathing techniques).

Karma Yoga or good deeds yoga, such as green and sustainable lifestyle, and wholesome and healthy living. Bhakti Yoga or devotional music and chanting yoga, for stress free life and vibrational healing. Gyan Yoga or insightful knowledge yoga, for intellectual upliftment for guiding us through the journey of life. Childrens activities: geared towards installing good values in children through activities such as story-telling, puppet shows and many others.

Dharma, or righteousness, is the all-inclusive spiritual path which will be promoted at the event through the inclusion of different spiritual sects in the program.

Format
The event will have a festival type of format with different areas for the five tracks described above. There will be booth of various for-profit and non-profit organizations, food stalls, and guest facilities. Three -thousand plus attendees are expected at the event. The conclusion of the event will be followed by garba community dance where the whole family can participate.

Swami Vivekanandas 150th birth anniversary (SV150)

The year 2013 is the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The celebrations planned throughout the year on this occasion are collectively referred to as SV150. Swami Vivekananda was the first person to introduce Yoga to the western world including the United States. His historic address to the Parliament of World Religions in 1893 received an overwhelming response from the attendees. Swami Vivekananda twice travelled to the United States and spent several years in the region.

Unlike other similar events which charge entrance fees going to hundreds of dollars we are doing his event with no admission fees. Our objective is to contribute towards social development in our own small way. Sponsorship is a direct channel of communication and it reaches people in an environment that matches their lifestyle. There are two broad groups that will be attending at the Dharma and Yoga Fest: The non-Indian conscious community is an attractive and growing group The Indian American community is most educated and richest according to Pew Research Social and Demographic Trends, April 04, 2013 Dharma and Yoga Fest provides the opportunity to directly reach out to thousands of audience. We can work directly with the sponsors in helping tailor their sponsorships to successfully meet their goals.

Spirit Soul and Friends, an awardwinning musical chanting group will be performing at the Dharma and Yoga Fest.

Sponsor Visibility
Dharma and Yoga Fest offers a variety of opportunities for making your brand visible at the event. Depending on the sponsorship level, you can have time at the main stages to announce yourself, be mentioned at the center of the program to the large crowd, and have your brand logo/banner displayed at prominent locations at the event as well as in online and print media. In addition, there is opportunity to have exhibit space where you can engage the visitors by means of product sampling, promotional giveaways and fun activities.

Your contributions are tax deductible (please check with your CPA for your personal tax situation). Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in New Jersey.

Your sponsorship amount and benefits can be customized according to your individual needs. The funds collected go towards the organization of Dharma and Yoga Fest, and do not benefit any individual. The organizers are unpaid volunteers, and their only motivation is to work towards Universal Oneness.

Booth Rentals

The booths at the event can be rented at the cost of $351 per booth for for-profit organizations, $501 for food vendors. Non-profit organizations are suggested to contribute $101 to partially cover the cost of the booth. Food vendors need a heath permit. For any questions, or for special requirements, please contact your Dharma and Yoga Fest representative.

Advertising in Commemorative Booklet

The commemorative booklet will be distributed to the festival attendees, and to the broader community. It will have relevant articles from renowned writers and from the participating organizations. The commemorative booklet is an excellent vehicle to reach out to the community. Whether it is about promoting your business, celebrating an special occasion or increasing awareness about an organization or a cause, the booklet is can do the job by directly reaching out to thousands of audience. With relevant articles included, the booklet is a keepsake, and so will be your message!

The Dharma and Yoga Fest organizers have the right to accept or reject any advertisement for any reason, including, but not limited to appropriateness and compatibility to the nature of the event and that to other sponsors. The advertiser must submit the camera-ready artwork by August 30, 2013. The advertisement may be cancelled with no refund if the above requirements are not met.
