City Designer

You will work in groups of two or three. You are to design your own city. Your city will have a name and population which must be placed at the top of your project. Your city must have the following and be correct to receive full credit. 1. 5 parallel streets that do not have a zero or undefined slope (each street must be named and you must have an equation for each street) 2. 2 transversal streets (each street must be named and you must have an equation for each street) The following buildings must be placed as directed. 1. A gas station and a restaurant (alternate exterior angles) 2. Your house and a school (consecutive interior angles) 3. A courthouse and a bank (vertical angles) 4. A general store and a church (corresponding angles) 5. A library and a park (alternate interior angles) Each building must be labeled. On your additional sheet of paper, you should have the following. 1. The equation for each parallel street with the street name beside it. 2. The equation for each transversal with the street name beside it. 3. The buildings with the two parallel streets and transversal named. All names must be school appropriate. Neatness and creativity is important!! THIS SHEET MUST BE TURNED IN WITH YOUR PROJECT!!!!
