To: Xavier University Student Community Re: Temporary Leave of Absence for the 2013 Philippine Model Congress

On the 26 to 28 of July 2013, together with Ms. Princess Ubay-ubay (CSG President) and Ms. Pauline Montellano (CSG DEAN Secretary), I will be on leave as one of the delegates of Xavier University to the 2013 Philippine Model Congress which will be held at the Philippine Senate Building, Pasay City. Philippine Model Congress (PMC) is a yearly, student-run legislative simulation conference that provides a venue for student leaders with a strong sense of civic responsibility to engage in the legislative process by partaking in caucusing, debating, and bill-writing. Bills that are approved at the committee level will be presented to actual congressmen for their insights. Bills passed at the plenary level will be presented to the Philippine Senate and House of Representatives. As I join the other student leaders from our university, it is my hope to gain insights and be able to reflect on my leadership for the betterment of the student government and student legislation in Xavier University. In my absence, Mr. Alton Melvar M. Dapanas, Chief of Staff of the CSG Office of the Vice President, will act as the officer-in-charge on matters affecting my role as the Vice President in our student government.
