Nursing Implications Before: 1. Assess type, location, and intensity of pain before administering. 2. Monitor for V/ S especially BP before giving the drug. 3. Explain therapeutic value of medication before administration to enhance the analgesic effect. 4. Do not administer drug if sign and symptoms of hypersensitivity occur. During: 5. Assess for level of pain and administer PRN drugs as needed 6. After: 6. Advice pt. to slowly change position slowly to avoid orthostatic hypotension. 7.
