Work

Design of mixed suspension system. studied the effect of the vehicle velocity on the RMSAR , formulated an equation for the excitation PSD, minimised the RMSAR from a ride comfort point of view, compared the RMSAR of a vehicle subjected to actual road excitation with that predicted using the formulated equation for the PSD.

An optimization process based on Multi Objective Programmin (MOP).The optimal settings of the relevant vehicle suspension parameters (i.e., tyre radial sti!ness, spring sti!ness and damping) are derived either symbolically and/or numerically.Analyses for standard deviation in verticasl force(road holding), Suspension relative displacement (Working space) and sprung mass acceleration( discomfort) Defined various parameters involved in analysis of four degree of freedom model .Comparison with actual experimental data is done.

Analyitcal model using MATLAB code , Simulink blocks and Simscape is built.

Using Autosim A half-car model is analysed. Random road excitation was applied to the model with identical front and rear excitation but with important time delay between the two excitations included in the calculations.

The vehicle model in Simulink was subjected to the same input displacement as the two-poster rig and simulation was carried out.

Numerical study of motorcycle comfort in the ride range using the frequency-domain method. At a givenspeed, the steady-state configuration of the vehicle is evaluated using the full nonlinear model, then the equations of motion are linearized and the analysis is carried out in the frequencydomain

Conclusion constraint on the total forces bounds the acceleration on the sprung masses so as to ensure the comfort of passengers and to reduce the risk of loss of contact between between wheels and road.Simulations showed that these constraints are active only when the system state is far from the An optimisation technique has been suggested for minimising the RMSAR of the vehicle suspension system The e}ect of vehicle velocity and wheelbase on the RMSAR has been studied and RMSAR is found proportional to the vehicle velocity and inverselyproportional to its wheelbase. Two different road irregularity spectra have been considered( 1SPSD, 2S-PSD). A theoretically rigorous method based on MultiObjective Programming and Monotonocity analysis is aplied to find the best trade-off for conflicting performance indices such as discomfort, road holding and working space. for this, the optimal suspension parameters (sti!ness and damping) have to be set within well-de"ned ranges which have been derived (numerically) in the paper.

MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape software were similar and results obtained were same, . But building thesuspension model using SimScape was much easier when compared with MATLAB code or The decoupled configuration with I y = Mb a b continues to be a useful basis for examining and explaining the mechanics involvedfrequency for which the pitch response is minimised lies between the two half-car dyeigenfrequencies;exactly where in the range is case dependent A 4-degree of freedom system vehicle model was created and used for estimation of the sprung and unsprung forces, pitchangle and accelerations at different locations on the frame. The estimated values of the model were found to be close enough to be used at the model were found to be close enough to be used at the concept design stage. The model predicted poor ride comfort for the modified suspension characteristics.

The proposed method is very fast and makes it possible to define a numeric comfort index that depends on the characteristics of the suspensions and can be used for optimization purposes.
