Headquarters Captain Gloriosus (155 points) Commander of the recently established 'Task Force Gloriosus', headed by one of the

few survivors of the recent debacles in the ongoing war against the Tau and the Necrons. A fearsome warrior who believes in charging into battle alongside his men, he wears Artificier Armour, and fights with his trusty Relic Blade in close combat, using his traditional Boltgun for longer-ranged actions. On the battlefield, he inherited a set of Digital Weapons from a previous commander. Librarian Senex (175 points) A long-suffering guardian of the ancient lore of the Ultramarines, this ancient Epistolary has fought probably too many battles; he sometimes finds it difficult to remember where he is actually fighting, and has flashback to previous glories. As a result, he has been superseded as commander of late, instead tasked with the simple tactical doctrine of 'charge the enemy'. To this end, he has been equipped with a Jump Pack, and wields a mighty Force Axe. Chaplain Marcus Likus (125 points) No-one is quite sure how this former trooper managed to talk his way into the Reclusiam, but given that his re-introduction of the formal weekly orgy has proved immensely popular with the troops, the High Command has elected not to ask too many questions. Has an apparent total lack of understanding of doctrine, and always seems to be the last man standing in a battle; his commanders have chosen to believe that this constitutes acute combat skill. He has procured a Plasma Pistol from somewhere, which he wields along with his Crozius Arcanum, and is never without his Rosarius. Like his commander, he also carries Digital Weapons, liberated from a longforgotten battlefield. Troops Tactical Squad Pseudolus (275 points) Sergeant Pseudolus always seems to survive any battle, without putting himself in any senior position of responsibility. A scavenger by trade, he has managed to procure a Plasma Pistol for himself, wielded along with his Chainsword. Seven of his marines are equipped with standard Bolters; one carries a Meltagun and another has been equipped with a Plasma Cannon. Traditionally, his squad would be transported into battle in a Rhino; he instead has managed to find an 'unused' Razorback, with Dual Lascannon mounting. Despite his constant insistence that he should remain to supervise the heavy weapons specialist in the rear, Captain Gloriousus insists that he rides along with his men in the transport. Tactical Squad Hysterium (220 points) Sergeant Hysterium is Sergeant Pseudolus' longest-suffering friend, and commands the second Tactical Squad. Lacking the skills of his comrade, his squad is equipped far more conventionally; seven marines armed with Bolters, one carrying a Flamer, and the heavy weapons specialist carries a Heavy Bolter, which Hysterium swears by. Or at, when it misfires. He carries a standard Bolt Pistol and Chainsword combination. The squad is transported in a Rhino, for which Sergeant Pseudolus found a Hunter-Killer Missile and Twin Storm Bolters. Scout Squad Crassus (95 points) Sergeant Crassus has been stuck with looking after the 'rooks' for far too many campaigns, and has about given up on rising through the ranks. Resigned to his status, he has adopted a 'might as well charge' mentality, and his recruits have a surprisingly short life-expectancy. He and his men are equipped with Bolt Pistols and Combat Knives, as no-one will trust him with better equipment. Crassus carries Melta Bombs that he has yet to use, despite wearing them on his belt for almost five years. One day he will throw them; they may even work. The squad wears Camo Cloaks.

Fast Attack Assault Squad Theopropides (163 points) Sergeant Theopropides is a recent addition to the force, following the promotion of his predecessor; he hopes to follow in his footsteps, but is somewhat distressed by the too-martial mentality of the force under his command. He'll never survive to win promotion that way. His entire squad wears Jump Packs, and he carries a Bolt Pistol, Power Axe, and Storm Shield, along with a quantity of Melta Bombs. He is on the look-out for a more effective ranged weapon. Four members of his squad carry Bolt Pistols and Chainswords, the remaining marine carries a Flamer, which has the reputation of not yet having been successfully employed in battle; it carries the bloodstains of many of the new recruits to the squad. Bike Squad Philolaches (205 points) Sergeant Philolaches was formerly second-in-command of Theopropides' Tactical Squad down in 7th Company; he's still getting used to actually having people under his command, and mastering his bike is proving even more of a difficult task. Nevertheless, he is determined to make good his new posting. His squad is surprisingly well-equipped; he carries a Bolt Pistol and Power Sword, and his three marines carry a Plasma Gun, Meltagun, and Bolter respectively. Permanently attached to the squad is an Attack Bike, mounting a Multi-Melta. Rumours that Captain Gloriosus considers the rest of the squad a 'meat shield' to protect the heavy weapon are thought to be entirely unfounded, but still make the rest of the men nervous. Scout Bike Squad Hero (80 points) Sergeant Hero is a marine who has had much unjustified praise taken of him. Very young and inexperienced, he was taken under his wing by both Senex and Pseudolus; the latter still keeps an eye on him. After experiencing heavy casualties during a recent battle, he managed to find some near-obsolete bikes to equip the survivors; Senex's last act was to assign him to command a new reconnaissance squad, and so far he has stayed out of the way of Captain Gloriousus. All three of the bikers carry Shotguns and Bolt Pistols, they are also equipped with Cluster Mines which they may or may not be able to use. Elite Techmarine Erronius (120 points) Erronius could charitably be described as 'befuddled'. No-one knows how old he is once he got lost on a battlefield and remained until the Ultramarines returned...thirty years later. He is equipped with a Servo-Arm, which he uses to good effect in close combat if he finds the enemy; at some point two unfortunates 'volunteered' for Servitor duty; one of them is equipped with a Heavy Bolter. He wears Artificier Armour, which unfortunately for the rest of the army he then forgot how to make. Veteran Squad Artotrogus (370 points) Lieutenant Artotrogus is the former second-in-command of Captain Gloriosus; he assumed command of the Veteran squad upon his comrade's accession, likewise obtaining a slightly unorthodox promotion to the officer corps. He is the dictionary definition of the term 'yes man', and is Captain Gloriousus' favourite subordinate. His squad is the best-equipped of the Task Force, naturally enough; the Lieutenant carries a Plasma Pistol and uses a Power Fist in close combat; two of his veterans are armed with a Meltagun and a Plasma Gun respectively. The remaining seven are all armed with Bolters, though one of them has managed an upgrade to a Combi-Melta. All the Bolter Marines are equipped with Special Ammunition. They ride into battle on a Rhino, equipped with Twin Storm Bolters and Extra Armour...which is not at all a comment on the Lieutenant's command style.

Dreadnought Lurcio (135 points) At one point, Corporal Lurcio was the assistant of Erronius. He woke up one morning to find that his master had found a 'new toy', and had wired him into an experimental Dreadnought prototype. This fortunately gave him the ability to outrun his master, and he went into hiding for some years before recently being found and 'instructed' to return to battle. Eventually, he acquiesced. After several tanks pointed their guns at him and 'insisted'. He is equipped with Twin Lascannon and a Power Fist with attached Storm Bolter. Heavy Support (380 points) Captain Gloriousus considers himself a masterful armoured commander, despite the near-total loss rate of all tanks hitherto entrusted to this command. Nevertheless, it appears the High Command has ordered them in bulk, because for the first time, he has been given a full phalanx of three Predators to command. All of them are similarly equipped, with an turret-mounted Autocannon and Lascannons in the side sponsons. One of them is equipped with a Hunter-Killer Missile, and another has a top-mounted Storm Bolter. The three tanks are theoretically commanded by Sergeant Pyrgopolynices, but no-one has yet been able to pronounce his name on the comm-net; as a result, Captain Gloriousus generally takes personal command of the force.
