Auxiliary Functions
Auto Drawer Switching
If an optional paper drawer is installed in addition to the standard paper
drawer, you can configure the copier for Auto Drawer Switching using the
User's Choice Settings. If A4 L paper is loaded in both the standard paper
drawer and the optional paper drawer, the copier switches drawers
automatically when one of the drawers runs out.
You can change the default value for Auto Drawer Switching using the
UA Drawer Priority item of the User's Choice Settings, see page 5-9.
Automatic Control Panel Reset
Approximately 60 seconds after the last copy cycle has completed or the
last user input has been entered, the Control Panel is automatically reset
to its default settings.
You can change the default value for the reset function using the U1
Auto Panel Reset item of the User's Choice Settings, see page 5-3.
Energy Saver Mode
Approximately 15 minutes after the last copy cycle has completed or the
last user input has been entered, Energy Saver Mode is enabled
automatically. The Energy Saver Mode automatically switches off all of
the copier's main functions. This reduces the power consumption to less
then 2 Watts. Simply press the Start key to return the copier to normal
operation.
In Energy Saver Mode, the copier uses less electricity.
You can change the default value for the Energy Saver mode using the
U3 Energy Saver ON item of the User's Choice Settings, see page 5-4.
