ome time ago, about October of last year, I started attending this group of people calling themselves Every

Nation. Intrigued by the way they approached Jesus and making disciples, I joined them regularly in their weekly admin and prayer meetings. At one stage the head of this organization allocated some time for praying in smaller groups and allowing attendees to give encouragement and words of prophecy. This usually excited me because I love the fact that God sometimes uses others to share His intimate heart with you. Seeing as though I was still new there, I had to take everything with a pinch of salt. In Christianity one often tends to find some loonies who use Spirituality to endorse their chemical imbalances. Paul also says in this regard... TEST EVERY PROPHECY AND KEEP THAT WHICH IS GOOD. So, bearing this in mind, one of the leaders in the organization came up to me and said, I believe God is showing me that you and your ministry are like a cactus. From the outside it seems as though you have separated yourself from the world. You will seem to be alone and independent, but when one takes a closer look, you will find that a multitude is dependent on your existence. At that stage, this was bad news, and I seriously considered this man to be one of those LOONIES, but earlier this week God reminded me again of this mans wise and inspiring words. So, this is what Ive been up to the past three months: - I have planted a church with Every Na-

tion and I am the head of the audio visual department. I am also one of two worship leaders at this congregation. - I have recently been asked to teach teenagers about God and identity at a school in Bronkhorstspruit. Many teens have already decided to accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour. This is really fun and inspiring for me. - I recently started helping out ministries with their audio and video projects. Due to the pricey nature of sound and video products some ministries cant afford to use these relevant media types. I have linked with Merchant Music(Gospel Music Label), Freedom Climb(anti-human trafficking movement) and some other smaller projects. - I often teach and lead worship all around Gauteng upon invitation. - I have also been mentoring and discipling two groups of people wanting to grow closer to Jesus and serve His Kingdom. I disciple them onto Jesus and into family. Currently I dont work for any specific organization or company although I have found a family within Every Nation. From the outside it might seem that I am a cactus just on his lonesome in the desert, but I have realized that God has urged me into this unique ministry, serving Him and His Kingdom so purposefully that I think I need to go and apologize to that loony that rightfully called me...CACTUS!
