    News and Prayer Letter July 2013


    Happy Independence Day! We are very thankful for the freedom to plant a church in Pittsburgh. We trust everyone will have a wonderful day with family and friends. Next phase With no meetings in July, we will spend much of the month in preparation for the next phase of the plant. The next phase will be getting ready for Bible Studies in the Fall. Doesnt the Fall seem far away? Well, its not. Having a target for Fall Bible Studies means that we need to be establishing contacts and getting the word out within the next couple of months. One of the things we will be doing is surveying the area looking for people interested in being involved in a Bible Study. If you or your church is interested in helping us with this on a Saturday or another day, please let us know. House work God has provided a great home for us and we are enjoying it. We were very exact in our prayers in what we needed in a house. God has provided office space, a separate space for children to use during Bible Studies, extra space for guests and visitors who might come and assist, and a place that was affordable and livable. By livable, we mean didnt need a lot of work. That being said, it does need some work. Some of the things are simple, but time consuming. Others are more difficult and beyond our capabilities. We are looking for others who may be able to help us in this area. Maybe you are not able to support us financially, but would you perhaps consider donating labor? We would primarily need people who have a knowledge of carpentry, but one bigger project would involve concrete skill. Thank you for your consideration. Support We had 2 meetings in June. We are always encouraged as we see what God is doing in other churches. Our support is a little over 30%. We need about $1,100 more per month to reach our part-time support goal. This would mean Dennis would continue working at the bank part-time. This may seem like a lot, but God can provide. Please pray with us to reach the support needed by the end of the year. Prayer Team At the School of Church Planting this past month, we were reminded of the importance of having a Prayer Team. These are the people that commit to praying for us on a daily or almost daily basis. These are the people we email in the middle of the week when we need immediate prayer.
