This was just weird.

I didn't feel like RP'ing, but a friend had been hanging out to RP for ages, so I went in anyway. I normally RP as Seer, who is a sort of mentor/benefactor of Cassius, a dark jedi hunter who Seer has been helping in the path of darkness, in exchange for the services of the dark hunter. I wasn't in the right mindset to be Seer, so I brought in Will instead. Now Cassius brought in Dumane instead, but didn't seem to be doing anything, but it didn't matter because I actually ended up with a very cool RP - one that shows how Will is different to my other jedi characters. I decided a while ago that Will's path was to be that of a blade-master. He's only a jedi knight, but his focus is in saber skill, not necessarily in terms of force power though. So he doesn't wield most of the fancier force powers, but rules with saber moves. Even at low creativity level, I managed to pull off a cool RP, without too badly ripping off KotOR2. Elijah helped too. I totally made most of this stuff up by myself, using only some sentence from the Ep3 visual guide about Soresu, about the eye of the storm. William_Harmony wanders into the palace gardens, his usual blindfold adorns his eyes as he carries his swordcane with him William_Harmony unsheathes the straight bladed sword from the sword cane and practises Soresu style saber movements Elijah hears some slight sounds, and goes to investigate, spotting William in the distance William_Harmony executes the swift movements of the defensive style of Soresu, otherwise known as saber form 3, it is the style best used for blaster bolt deflection Elijah approaches slowly and silently, watching the guy in the blindfold William_Harmony spirals about with a finishing move, bringing the sword down toward's the tip of Elijah's nose,

William_Harmony : Why do you carry the weapon of the jedi yet not practise in seeing with the force? Elijah doesn't recognize who or what William is, and says, "why do you go around slingin' a blade at people's faces?" William_Harmony smiles "to find their reactions. Elijah shrugs......''I brought my saber up to defend myself....not like I was attackin', or anything" William_Harmony : No not that, when you came closer to someone who obviously couldn't see you. Elijah blushes again......''I just wanted to watch ya.....honest!" William_Harmony : What did you see? Elijah : well, I saw you movin' that sword like you been doin' it a long time..... William_Harmony : Its called Soresu, a defensive style. The method reflects the phiolosophy of being in the eye of a storm Elijah 's brows arch....''it does?" William_Harmony : Its about being centered, in a storm, the safest place within it, is the center or the eye. Elijah nods, knowing that.....having lived in the forest, he's weathered some storms William_Harmony : In the center of a storm, its easier to see whats around you, to be aware of it and how to approach it, but storms move, and so must you with the eye. William_Harmony : In Soresu, the jedi keeps in the middle of the battle, moving only as the fight does, but never straying from the middle point, thus all around the jedi may be devastated, but the jedi stays safe. Elijah scratches his head, thinking....it makes sense....."I never heard nobody put it like that before" William_Harmony : The force guides the jedi, showing him or her where and when the storm will move, if the jedi follows, they remain safe Elijah nods slowly, beginning to understand......''so....I was on the outside, and....."

William_Harmony : nearly got hit, fortunately it was not a real storm Elijah nods slowly.....''ummmm.....I'm uhhh...sorry about before....with my attitude an' all....." William_Harmony smiles "its alright, Soresu isn't a style for everyone. Some are more direct minded, an Ataru practioner understands the nature of a straight line, that it is always the quickest path between two points" Elijah : I'm just doin' basic practice at the praxeum.....I don't really have a style yet William_Harmony : Basic practise comes under Shii-cho, also known as form one. William_Harmony : It is a form that is said to be the most important form - the way of not igniting one's saber. if a jedi can learn how to not use their saber and still resolve the situation, they achieve more than the most skilled jedi Elijah : cuz they ain't killin' someone....... William_Harmony : its not just killing, its an absence of violence. Now, form zero is not always applicable to all situations, but if it is the core of all forms, a jedi does well. as they truely express an understanding of when to not fight Elijah : so......I messed up pretty bad.....
