The Department: A Birds Eyeview

The Department is pioneer in introducing Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme in Central India. The programme has gone through various dimensions with changes as per the requirements.MBA is a two years full time programme with specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Production with Global Finance, Services Marketing, Organizational Behaviour and Operations Management. The programme consists of eight papers per semester including 45 days Summer Internship Programme and a yearlong project work related to specialization. The Department is known for curriculum delivery in innovative pedagogy and informal way of research based learning. It is an unique feature of the Department that students participate in teaching-learning process through innovative modes. The students are admitted through Common Admission Programme (CAP) of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of the State Government. The Department has credibility in the areas of researches including researches funded by UGC, AICTE, ICSSR and Central Government of India. It also offers doctoral degree programme through research in the discipline of Commerce, Management and Economics. It has credibility for consultation services in the areas of Manpower Recruitment & Selection, Financial Policy, Training & Development, Product Launching, Manpower Assessment & Audit, Performance Measurement, Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence & other areas. The work of the Department in the field of extension services particularly in Entrepreneurship Development, Consumer Guidance and Education, Career Counseling to students is noteworthy. High number of publications are on credit of the Department. Students and faculty participation in various students skilling curricular and academic development programmes at National and International level is one facet of the Department. Faculty of the Department are Accredited Management Teachers and Alumni of International reputed Management Institutes as well as life member of good number of professional bodies. The faculty has Professional and Academic experience of 20 years on an average.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) is two Years full time Programme. It comprises of 32 papers (compulsory and elective) spread during four semesters. The students also pursue 6 to 8 week of Summer Internship Programme. In the first year i.e. Sem. I & II, the students are only exposed to the core subjects and the functional areas of management while the electives are taken up in the second year i.e. in sem. III & IV.
