Indian Statutory Reporting
Excise
Hercules includes complete statutory Excise
management as per Indian Excise Act.
The Excise Rates are picked up in the sales/purchase
transactions depending on the excise setup. In the setup,
various rates can be defined for a combination of party
category and excise chapters. A number of excise duties
(like Basic Excise Duty, Special Excise Duty, Additional
Excise Duty, Cess, eCess, etc. can be defined and their
calculation formula can be specified. All these duties are
tracked separately in the system.

VAT
VAT functionality comprehensively covers the Indian VAT
scenario. This functionality is a standard solution for the
State/Union Territories (UT) that have implemented or are
implementing the VAT in India.
This functionality provides a common solution for the
requirements under all Indian States/UTs VAT Acts.
Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)
TDS Deductions take place on Payment or Credit (Invoice);
whichever is earlier as per government regulation. TDS is
calculated for Payment/Invoices depending on Nature of
Deduction and Assessee Type specified in these tractions.
The TDS rates are picked up from the setup, defined for this
combination of Nature of Deduction and Assessee Type. All the
TDS deducted is posted to a TDS register, from where payment
can be made to the authorities by selecting the relevant
deductions for a particular period, nature of deduction, etc.
For each Nature of Deduction, a separate number series can be
defined for generating TDS Certificates. Threshold limit can be
captured and also an effective date for each TDS rate. The TDS is
deducted only if the transaction with a vendor Nature of
Deduction combination exceeds this threshold limit for the
financial year.
Pivot Tables
Pivot Table is one of the most powerful tools included in
Hercules, it can significantly improve your ability to analyze and
report financial data by delivering vital business information to
everyone in your organization.
Pivot Table make it easier to Produce analytical views of sales
trends, customer buying patterns, and other values that help
you better understand your business and plan for the future.
Users can use Pivot Table to tabulate the information in the
desired manner and can export into different formats such as
excel, word, pdf or image file.
Multiple Currencies, Multiple Languages
