Color Fixative / Conditioning Agents

These products are based on cationic conditioning agents used to improve a variety of properties including substantivity, penetration, color retention, feel, increase gloss, and anti-static properties
Trade Name PEL-SIL AMOD CAS No Proprietary 67633-63-0 (and) 25322-68-3 INCI Name Amodimethicone Isostearamidopropyl Ethyldimonium Ethosulfate (and) PEG-9 Isostearamidopropyl Morpholine Lactate Activity, % 100 Description

The primary amino groups on this silicone fluid provides a net positive charge making it substantive and providing protection for dyed hair. Perfect for the light conditioning needed for fine hair, this anionic compatible quaternary compound adds lubricity and antistatic properties in hair care formulations. A cationic surfactant which rinses more readily from the hair than quaternary ammonium salts, preventing build-up. It is compatible with anionic surfactants, is non-irritating to the skin and eyes, and is recommended as a conditioner in clear shampoo formulations and skin cleansers. For personal care applications only. Cationic agent useful when formulating clear hair rinses. Superior antistatic properties vs Stearalkonium Chloride. A liquid fixative for water-soluble semi-permanent dyes. It allows the semi-permanent dyes to penetrate deeply into the hair shaft and improves their tenacity. Similar to PEL-SIL Q-80, but this version is a 50% solution in naturally derived Propanediol. Compatible with anionic surfactants, this unique quaternary silicone is ideal for use as conditioning agent for hair rinses. Provides a particularly soft feel, increases gloss of hair, and provides proven color retention. Conditioning agent for hair rinses with less anionic compatibility than Quaternium-80 but increased color retention. Excellent conditioning agent synthesized from wheat germ oil and grafted onto hydrolyzed wheat protein. For personal care applications only. Provides body and antistatic effects in hair care products resulting from the hydrolyzed proteins and conditioning properties of anionic compatible amidoamines For personal care applications only.
