Materials: (for one coaster): Sugar n Cream Worsted Weight 100% Cotton Yarn: - 4 yards Yellow (center circle of flower) - 15 yards White Size F (3.75mm) Crochet Hook Yarn Needle Stitches Used/Abbreviations: ch = chain sl st = slip stitch sc = single crochet hdc = half double crochet dc = double crochet sk = skip beg = beginning Finished Size: 5 across Note: The yellow center of coaster is worked in continuous rounds, without joining at the end of each round. Its helpful to use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round.

Daisy Coaster:
Round 1) with yellow, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join round. (6 sc) Round 2) 2 sc in each st around, do not join round. (12 sc) Round 3) *2 sc in next st, sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around, do not join round. (18 sc) Round 4) *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts*, repeat from * to * around, join with a sl st to beg sc. End off yellow. (24 sc) Round 5) with white, join with a sl st in any st, ch 1, sc in same st as joining, in next st work: (sc, ch 5, sc in 4th ch from hook and sc in last ch, then sc in same st as 1st sc) (first point made demonstrated in photos below) , sc in next st, ch 1, *sc in next st, in next st work: (sc, ch 5, sc in 4th ch from hook and sc in last ch, then sc in same st as 1st sc), sc in next st, ch 1*, repeat from * to * around, join with a sl st to beg sc. (32 sc around (not including points), 8 ch-1 spaces, & 8 points)

skipping the first 3 ch sts creates a space at the top of the point, which will be stitched in on next round. 1 2 3

The photos below demonstrate making the first petal. The petals are worked using white, but for demonstration purposes I used green in the photos to make the stitches easier to see. Round 6) Sk the first 2 sc sts, then working up the right side of the first point, (hdc, dc) in first st (photo 1), 2 dc in next st (photo 2), 4 dc in space at the top of the tip (photo 3), then working down the left side of the tip, 2 dc in next st (photo 4), (dc, hdc) in last st (photo 5), skip next 2 sc sts on round, sl st in ch-1 space (photo 6), *sk the next 2 sc sts, then working up the right side of the next point, (hdc, dc) in first st, 2 dc in next st, 4 dc in space at the top of the tip, then working down the left side of the tip, 2 dc in next st, (dc, hdc) in last st, skip next 2 sc sts on round, sl st in ch-1 space, repeat from * to * around. End off, weave in all ends. 1
