DEDICATION This book is dedicated in loving memory to Suzanne Nagel McConaughey May 24, 1928 August 1, 2011 Mom was a classical pianist and taught me to love glorious music. As a small child, I watched in rapt amazement as she played classical music. Mom paid the price to become a concert pianist by practicing up to six hours daily during her teenage years. Mom loved to entertain her five children by playing show pieces, jazz and the classics on her Steinway baby grand piano with ivory keys. We loved to dance to the boogie woogie pieces she played. We will never forget the beauty and glory of the music that she imparted to us. I only had to practice an hour a day and Mom was my teacher. The minstrel anointing was upon mom who had the grace and passion to enable her to achieve incredible skill. What an awesome woman! Unfortunately, I joined in the rebellion of my teenage siblings and we strayed from the gift and blessing for a time. All three of us stopped taking piano lessons from mom on the same day. It was a huge and foolish mistake. My brother took up the guitar and started a rock band. After converting my life to Christ in 1974, I learned the guitar and led worship and choirs for years before coming back to my roots at the piano. After privately using the piano for devotional praise and worship for many years, the Lord has opened doors to lead praise and worship in various places. I am always amazed at 5

how His presence comes when I begin to play a few simple notes on the keyboard. I am grateful for the impartation and grace given to me through my dear mother to love heavenly music. Mom is present with the Lord and perhaps is playing for Him in heaven. I know she is delighted to worship Him with all her heart. I joyfully dedicate this book to our memory of her.

INTRODUCTION END TIMES PRAISE AND WORSHIP On May 5, 1973, I paid $5 to attend the largest outdoor concert ever held (of its time) for a single performer. 55,799 other young people gathered at Tampa stadium for a two and one half hour performance of the English sensation, Led Zepplin, one of the hottest rock bands of that day. We arrived about six hours before the concert started and sat on the grass at the thirty yard line facing the monstrous stage in the end zone. For several hours, the fragrance of cannabis filled the air and lungs of most of the attendees. A thirty foot wall of speakers adorned each side of the stage and piped music created a festive atmosphere. The stadium filled to capacity as the crowd anticipated the extraordinary gifts of Jimmy Page, John Bonham, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones. When the concert began, thousands of adoring fans rushed the stage and I was crushed in the madness. The sound from the wall of speakers was so outrageously loud that I could not stand it. I pushed my way through the crowd and climbed the bleachers to find some space and distance from the wildness on the field. I watched in shock as I saw thousands of fans dancing in a frenzy directly in front of those speakers. While that was considered one of the greatest days in Rock n Roll history, I left grieved in my spirit. Even though I did not know

Jesus at the time, I found something extremely troubling about the trance like devotion tens of thousands had to these talented musicians. Led Zepplin reportedly sold 300 million albums and performed in countless concerts around the world1. Led Zeppelin is the band that moved rock towards heavy metal music. They took North America by storm along with other major bands. It was a time of sex, drugs and rock and roll which was rooted in a rebellion against God and His word. Church leaders protested the onslaught of rock and roll and rightly said that it was rooted from Satan. However, the tsunami wave of rock music drowned out the cries of the prophets and buried a generation in a cultural avalanche of epic proportions. Today, the lyrics and music of those early rock bands is extremely mild in comparison to the various dark genres of music to be found including intense wicked forms of metal, black metal, death metal, grindcore, porncore, punk metal and hard core satanic music. Gangster rap is mild compared to some of the abusive black metal bands that exist. According to Wikipedias encyclopedia, there are 15 major genres of popular music in North America including over 500 sub genres. Of those styles of music, I only counted two that were clearly Christian. The Human Spirit God created the human spirit to sing and make music to praise and worship the Creator. All humans have a built in longing to praise and worship. Everyone is impacted by music at some
1

level. Music stirs the human spirit and engages it for good or evil. When a person agrees with or buys in to a specific music genre, he or she is connecting their human spirit with the spiritual flow of that music. The things that cause you to sing, dance, clap or engage in are the things to which you ascribe worth. This is the classic definition of worship. As a teenager in the sixties, I purchased a large collection of rock and roll albums and listened to them regularly. When we listen to music, we are drinking in the stream that it comes from. This often leads to a form of idol worship. The stream we drank from in the sixties has grown into a raging river of demonic music that is polluting the spiritual atmosphere and corrupting the hearts and minds of millions. Most music has an entertainment value that ranges from sacred to satanic and everything in between. People of all cultures enjoy forms of music because their human spirit longs for expression. The rock and roll generation ushered in a wave of worship that called rebellion freedom. Much of the fruit of American culture has ripened into a self-centered, rebellious and sensual pleasure based youthful generation that is frightening. The majority of our young people are getting into agreement with demonic music and they do not realize it. There are many forms of worship including love of money, movie star idol worship, lust and sexual perversion, carnal eating and drinking, drug abuse and countless false religions. The primary engine that powers idol worship in America is most forms of the music and entertainment industry because of the prophetic and spiritual nature of this medium. 9

When my wife Glenda and I ministered in the inner city, we encountered many young people memorizing long sensual rap songs and various music. They imitated the dance moves of Soul Train with abandonment. Sensual videos have taken our culture rapidly down the slippery slope towards a modern Sodom and Gomorrah. Some Christian music is humanistic and strongly influenced by pop culture. The music in and of itself can have a source in the dark realm even if the words have Christian lyrics. There is great mixture in church music and this is part of a warfare against pure heavenly worship flowing through anointed minstrels and psalmists. By Gods grace, we have contended for pure prophetic music that worships God in spirit and in truth. Pure music inspires the human spirit. It does not stimulate the flesh nor engage the soul in an unrighteous manner. Those who long for truth enter in and experience degrees of His ever increasing release of revelation and glory. The Restoration of Pure Worship For the LORD has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day. One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the LORD your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you. Therefore take careful heed to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God. Joshua 23:9-11 Even though we may be outnumbered 1,000 to 1 in the battle against demonic music, when we flow in perfect agreement 10

with the Angel of the Lord in worship, two in agreement can put 10,000 to flight2. This is a vital principle to understand because in many places where we lead worship, there may only be a handful of pure worshippers present. But 10 or 20 devoted worshippers can be led by the Spirit to overcome the pollution of millions of carnal worshippers around the globe. That is how awesome our God is who comes to be enthroned above the praises of His people. He shines His light and the darkness has to flee! God is going to restore the Tabernacle of David so that He can draw all peoples to Himself. Pure Davidic style worship flows from a passionate heart that seeks intimacy with God. It is visionary and experiential music that mirrors the sights and sounds of heaven. In order to flow in this type of worship, the anointed psalmist must be able to see, hear and sense in the realm of the spirit, those songs and rhythms pleasing to the Father. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:16,17 The psalmist must also let the word of God dwell richly in her heart so she can flow in biblical psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. The word of God is living and active and through anointed song engages the human heart in a powerful way3.

David was a pure worshipper that had both a psalmist and minstrel anointing. He was also a warrior that took the land and brought peace and prosperity to Solomons generation. We are called to partner with God in restoring this tabernacle of Spirit led prayer, praise and worship in this hour. God plans to restore this tabernacle until it culminates with the Bride and the Spirit continuously crying out for Him to Come 4! When the fullness of time arrives, Jesus Christ, the King of Glory, will come to earth in response to this final intercessory push5.

CHAPTER 1 THE HEART OF OUR FATHER But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23,24 The heart of our Father is seeking true worshippers. This includes those who will pray, fast, prophecy, sing, dance, praise, worship, play anointed music and do prophetic acts by the leading of the Holy Spirit. In order to worship in spirit, we must be in tune with and flowing in the Holy Spirit. Just as the Spirit helps us pray, the Holy Spirit guides us and enables us to worship God in spirit6. We have to know and understand the word of God and obey His voice to worship Him in truth. Our daily life is to walk out our worship in pure living according to Gods word. Far too many worshippers fail to walk out their worship in the real world. There are higher levels of spiritual warfare and temptations that come to those who walk in higher levels of anointed praise and worship as David did. David was tempted by lust when he avoided going off to war 7. We can be overcome by this world and its lusts when we fail to walk in truth and fight the good fight of faith8. True worshippers are yielded vessels, embracing the cross of Christ daily, who only do what is on the Fathers heart and mind.

Romans 8:26 II Samuel 11:1ff 8 I Timothy 6:12

13

A Faithful Priesthood Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever. I Samuel 2:35 We are Gods New Testament royal priests called to offer up spiritual sacrifices pleasing to the Lord9. We are called to seek His face and will and do it with all our hearts like David did. I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will. Acts 13:22 David was passionate to discover what was on the heart and mind of his heavenly Father. David meditated on Gods written word day and night. Like David, we must be diligent in seeking the Lord and be fully surrendered to obeying His voice. And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him. John 8:29 Jesus modeled the royal New Testament priesthood and always obeyed His Father. Jesus was a faithful High Priest on earth. He fulfilled His destiny by always doing those things that glorified and honored His Father. His perfect work on the cross made it possible for the Holy Spirit to dwell in believers and enable us to fulfill the desires of the Fathers heart.

I Peter 2:9

14

Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! Deuteronomy 5:29 Gods heart yearns that all of us would walk as Jesus walked, in perfect obedience, doing the things pleasing in His sight. God is perfect in His creation of each of His children. He knows what is absolutely the best for you and me. It is essential that we develop a heart of loyal obedience to God and fulfill our destiny which includes intercession. Prophetic Intercessors Wanted So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30,31 Our Father is looking for intercessors who will wait upon the Holy Spirit to show them what to pray and will consistently build a wall of intercession by praying and prophesying those things. The Holy Spirit empowers a wide

variety of intercession that is a central part of the Tabernacle of David10. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. II Chronicles 16:9

10

Romans 8:26

15

God is looking throughout the earth for believers whose hearts are tuned to listen and obey His voice. He will do mighty exploits on behalf of those loyal ones who follow His leading. In order to become a part of Gods restoration movement, we must devote ourselves to prayer (including praise and worship) and the ministry of His word11. As we do we can experience the continual transformation of our hearts. Expect New Things Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18 God is infinitely creative and moves in new forms during new seasons. Music is always flowing in creativity in various ways. I have been involved in praise and worship for nearly four decades now. God is taking us deeper into His infinite presence through ever increasing displays of prophetic praise and worship. I can remember when 45 minutes was considered a long worship time. In recent years, we have participated in worship times lasting three to five hours long. The Spirit was willing to take us in deeper and longer but our bodies needed to rest. Many of our worship times are so full and amazing that it is impossible to know and explain what God did in our midst.

11

Acts 6:4

16

Davidic worship is experiential. It is about encountering the living God, tasting and seeing that He is good 12. God graces me to experience waves of His love and joy during worship. I often start laughing with great joy in the midst of a song that I am leading. It is extremely emotional to encounter the living God in this way. He refreshes us and encourages us by His wonderful presence! Living in Two Realms No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. John 3:13,14 Jesus modeled the life we are called to live. He lived in two realms at the same time. His interaction with the Father and the earth was seamless. He lived out of a place in heaven while on earth. In His prayer times, Jesus ascended into the Fathers glorious presence and experienced revelation for His will. As His holy body kneeled on earth, His spirit rose and walked in heavenly places. As Jesus walked in His Fathers good pleasure on earth, He maintained a perfect fellowship with the Father and understood His position and calling. We are called to walk as Jesus walked, living in two realms simultaneously. There is a balance that each of us must discover by the leading of the Holy Spirit. After living mostly earthbound for our first twenty years of ministry, the Spirit began teaching us how to soar in praise and worship and see and hear in the spiritual realm.

12

Psalm 34:8

17

As we continued to develop in our understanding of true worship and our royal priesthood, the Lord has graced us to experience more and more revelation and visions of His glory. When we behold Him through face to face worship and prayer, we are transformed to become like Him13. The Grieved Heart of Our Father And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Genesis 6:5 Gods heart is grieved by rebellion and sinfulness. God knew when He created Lucifer with a free will that he would turn from joyful submission to wicked rebellion. God knew it would grieve His own heart, nevertheless, He went forward with His plan so that in time God could demonstrate His great grace and love in Christ Jesus to redeem fallen man. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD! Luke 13:34,35 Jesus grieved and wept over His people in Israel at its capital, Jerusalem. It wounded His heart that so many that He made refused to come to Him and experience His protection and

13

II Corinthians 3:18

18

provision. The Fathers heart aches for His children who wander from Him. Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! Psalm 81:13 God is not willing that any perish14. All created spiritual beings are given a choice as to whom they will serve. Gods heart desire is that all would repent and follow His voice, walking in His ways. Gods ways are so much higher and better than our ways. We dont understand much about His created order or His ways. What has been revealed to us in His word is absolute truth. God is our Creator and our Judge. We are all called to respond to Him in faith and obedience. He is speaking through His creation, our conscience, the Holy Spirit and the word of God all the time. We must tune our hearts to hear Him and obey His voice to please Him in all things. This lifestyle of righteous living ministers comfort and joy to the heart of our Father. The Father Longs for the Prodigals to Come Home And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive
14

II Peter 3:9

19

again; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry. Luke 15:20-24 God is watching over all of his children with deep emotion. He wants them to be awakened and come home to Him. The good shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to find the wandering one 15. All of heaven rejoices when only one sinner repents and comes home to God. They know how much it means to the Father. Gods heart is wounded with the pain of loss. It is hard for us to comprehend this, but David caught this truth. That is why David was militant about building an altar of worship and ministering unto the heart of God. Davids prayer, praise and worship was a sweet fragrance and comfort to God. Even though our Father is complete in everyway, He allows Himself, by love, to become vulnerable to His children. Most parents understand the heartache when a child chooses to run away from faith and obedience. There is no greater joy than when our children walk in truth16. There is also no greater grief than when our children wander into self-destructive sinful living. It grieves our hearts which are made in the image of God. Our heavenly Father is amazingly emotional and sensitive to share the joys and pains of His children. He loves us all unconditionally and makes provision for us all to have fellowship with Him. It is our choice each day whom we shall serve. Choose life and serve the Father! The Bridegroom Heart of God Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and
15 16

20

cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. Ephesians 5:25-30 God dearly loves and cherishes His people. He sent His Son to demonstrate that perfect love and lay down His life for us. God is the perfect romantic. His passionate bridegroom love is the greatest of all time. He has created mankind in His image. Gods love often radiates in marriages among people who do not choose to follow Him. He has created humans with the capacity to love and lay down our lives for others. We are called to love within the bounds of Gods word. One individual we know recently chose to divorce his wife of four decades and run after another simply because he fell in love with another woman. The divorce tore the family apart and further wounded our Fathers heart. Imagine the pain and suffering our Father experiences by the millions of abortions, divorces and sinful acts of His children! Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. Isaiah 30:18 God is a God of justice and for those who persistently refuse to obey Him, He ultimately allows them to choose their own way and with it comes Gods judgment. God is slow to anger and 21

even slower to judge17. He waits a lifetime for many to respond to His perfect love. He longs to be gracious to His people and demonstrate His mercy. My dear mother believed in God but did not choose to actively serve Him during most of her life. Even though I tried several times in her last years to share Gods word with her, she was not open to hearing about His love in Christs finished work in the bible. We prayed intensely for her for over thirty years. God promised me that He would save her and required me to trust in His word that He spoke clearly to me in a manifest presence God encounter that I had in 198118. At the end of moms life, God gave me several visions of His great grace and mercy. I saw Jesus come to her in the Spirit before she died and offer her His hand of mercy. She took it and went into His perfect embrace. He is extraordinarily gracious. During a prophetic worship service, I went into a deep vision where I was holding my mothers body in a glorious river of perfect peace. I knew that I had to let her go into Gods hands. I released her in the Spirit and she floated away into His presence. Although I was over 3,000 miles away from Mom when she died, I was graced by God to release her into His marvelous presence. God waits to be gracious to His people. He was gracious to me to give me perfect peace about Moms salvation. I experienced the comfort of the Holy Spirit in an extraordinarily deep way. God enabled me to minister His comfort to family and friends at the memorial service.

The river of God is extraordinarily deep. Prophetic worship enables us to get into a place of revelation and supernatural experience. Gods river ministers to our deepest inner needs and builds our faith and trust in His perfect love.

23

CHAPTER 2 THE ORIGIN AND FALL OF WORSHIP In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 We know that God created all things in the spiritual and natural realms. God is infinitely creative with infinite power. His creative acts are always in agreement with His holy character, foreknowledge and infinite wisdom. God knows exactly who He is and what He is doing. He sees the beginning and the end of all things. Gods ways are higher than our ways and some of them are past finding out19. What God reveals in His word by His Spirit is all that we need to fulfill our destiny on earth. We know that God created angelic beings with various functions. We know that Michael is the highest level warrior angel known as an arch angel. Gabriel is the highest level messenger angel that we know of and is probably an arch angel as well. It is believed that Lucifer was created at the arch angel level as the leader of worship in heaven. Every angelic being created and all the various hosts of heaven, such as the four living creatures, were created and placed in positions perfectly by their Creator, our heavenly Father.

God in His wisdom, perfection and goodness, gave each being gifts and an assignment to use those gifts to glorify and honor
19

Isaiah 55:9

24

their Creator. Their charge was to be faithful to their calling and assignment given them by their perfect loving Creator. God also created these beings with free will. Apparently, there was only one season where these created angelic beings could chose once and for all whom they would serve. Once they made their choice, perhaps due to the extreme level of revelation they had, there was no second choice offered. We can thank God that in His mercy He gives mankind multiple choices during a lifetime and contends with man to turn their hearts to Him before they die. Isaiah prophesied about Lucifers fall from Gods high mountain. The Fall of Worship Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD: You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned; therefore I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones. Your heart was lifted up 25

because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, that they might gaze at you. You defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trading; therefore I brought fire from your midst; it devoured you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you. All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; you have become a horror, and shall be no more forever. Ezekiel 28:12-19 Satan was once the most magnificent creation of God in heaven. He was the most perfect and beautiful angel ever created, full of wisdom and covered in gemstones. His amazing frame included timbrels and pipes to lead the greatest worship team ever assembled. Satan was established in the highest place of leadership on the mountain of God. He was the covering cherub responsible to cover God with continuous glory through praise and worship. Satan was the perfect worship leader of heaven with all the gifts and attributes to fulfill his incredibly high calling. With his gifts and the anointing of God, Satan led millions upon millions to worship the Lord in perfect beauty, splendor and unity. The glory created by the praise radiated light and majesty in such extreme proportions that God was immersed in and covered by the splendor and beauty. At some point, from the highest and greatest privilege of any created being, Satans heart began to be discontent. He was second only to the holy trinity and he wanted more. He started to make deals with multitudes of angels of various ranks that

26

served under his leadership. Satans motivation is revealed by Isaiahs prophecy below. I Will Exalt My Throne Above Gods How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit. Isaiah 14:12-15 Satan wanted to establish his rule above Gods. He became jealous of the praise and worship that he was leading towards his Creator. Satan wanted to reign, rule and receive the glory. His perverted lust twisted his gifted mind and he became a horrible being of unthinkable wickedness. His treachery knows no bounds. He knew that he had to have a large following to usurp the throne of God and establish himself above the Most High. His own mind became deceived by greed and lust. Multitudes of angels followed Satan in His rebellion. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. Jude 6 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. Revelation 12:4 The Scripture indicates that Satan took one third of the angels of heaven and brought them to earth in His wicked rebellion. 27

Imagine for a moment the trauma this rebellion caused in heaven. How many millions of angels fell with Satan? Did he take the entire worship team with him? And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9 Satan and his angels have been cast out of Gods heavenly presence. They are confined to the earth realm unless allowed by God to come into His presence. All of Satans followers are working towards one goal on earth. Their goal is to build a throne on earth for Satan to be worshipped. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him? And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:4-8 Eventually, all who dwell on the earth will worship him except those whose names are written in the Lambs book of

28

life. This frightening reality will likely occur within the next forty years. We need to get ready! Satans Tempts Us To Worship Him Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me. Matthew 4:8-9 Satan tempts all mankind to worship him. He tempted Jesus by promising Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. Jesus refused to worship Satan and resisted him by quoting Gods word, Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve (Matthew 4:10). All humans are spiritual beings equipped to render worth to someone or something. All people on earth worship either the Creator God or some counterfeit god known as an idol. With the exception of children under the age of accountability, all humans are judged based upon their lives and works on earth. Our daily lives reflect our priorities and reveal what we worship. We are exhorted throughout the word of God to guard ourselves from any form of idol worship 20. Anything or any one who becomes more important to us than loving and pleasing God becomes an idol in our life. The only way to be safe from idol worship is to love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength21.

Satan is a worship leader that is still gifted in leading millions and even billions to worship idols. He deceives minds by leading them to focus on anything other than devotion to Christ22. People are devoted to a never ending array of religions, philosophies, obsessions and things possible. Ultimately, there are only two groups of people. Those who go to heaven and those who go to hell forever. The bible describes them as sheep and goats, wheat and tares, sons of Gods light or sons of darkness. Satan took the praise and worship knowledge he learned in heaven and has counterfeited it on earth to bring glory to himself. I believe that Satan uses many false religions to worship fallen angelic beings. Hindus worship thousands of gods that have names, personalities and characteristics. The bible teaches us that Satan was full of iniquity in trading or making deals. I believe he made deals with angels under him that they would have rulership and receive worship through a variety of religions and cultic activity. Satan is using multiple genres of demonic music and entertainment products to captivate a generation in America into loving this world, lusting in the flesh, lusting with the eyes and boastful rebellious pride23. Satan uses hundreds of ways to lead people into idol worship and has spread his deep darkness over the earth. In the midst of this darkness, God has promised to restore the Tabernacle of David to magnify the Light of Jesus and attract mankind to His perfect love and brilliance.

CHAPTER 3 THE HEART OF DAVID And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will. Acts 13:22 King David was obsessed with knowing God. David wanted to understand the heart, emotions and intents of his Creator. David was committed to do whatever it took to know God and obey His will. David was a zealous fanatic in pursuit of revelation of God. Davids predecessor, King Saul, had compromise in his heart and would not fully obey God. As a result, he lost his kingship. As God is raising us up to be priests and kings before Him, we must become like David and run from Saul. Davids Vow LORD, remember David and all his afflictions; how he swore to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty one of Jacob: Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty one of Jacob. Psalm 132:1-5 David had an incredible relationship with God. He understood the grace God allowed so that he could press in through fasting sleep to gain revelation. David wanted to know how to create a dwelling place on earth so that Gods

31

presence could come. David understood the heart of the Father. God wanted to be in close fellowship with His children, but Gods holiness and mans sin created a separation. Gods temporary solution under the Law of Moses was to create a system of sacrifice in the tabernacle of Moses to allow mankind to come a step closer. But David wanted so much more. His heart burned in passion to find a way to open the pathway for the whole nation to enter into fellowship and communion with a holy God. David made a vow before Almighty God that he would take no personal comfort until he found a way to bring Gods manifest presence to earth. Davids intense passion pressed in for revelation and God gave it to him. When we seek and knock as David did, God will enable us to find Him and open the door of revelation. God began releasing visions and revelations to David so that He could build a tabernacle and make preparations for Solomon to build a permanent temple24. David said, I have seen the consummation of all perfection (Psalm 119:96a). David was given visions of throne room worship. He saw the beauty and perfection of Gods throne and temple worship on high. It fueled even greater passion as David craved Gods manifest presence. Even as Moses built a tabernacle based on what he saw on the mountain, David established his tabernacle of worship based on revelation by the Spirit of God25. The Passion of David O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty

land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:1-8 David was a busy man his entire life. He disciplined himself to rise early to seek God. His thirst was intense and only satisfied by entering Gods presence deeper and deeper. David had a gift of divine hunger. He was miserable outside of Gods presence and will. He rose up early and stayed up late meditating on Gods word. David searched for God in the prescribed methods of his day. He longed to see Gods power and glory in the sanctuary. It is biblical to seek manifestations of Gods power and glory in our worship services! David constantly wanted more of Gods tangible presence. The tabernacle of Moses did not allow David access to the Holy of Holies. It was restricted to the High Priest from the tribe of Levi who could only enter one time per year. David wanted much more than what Moses dictated under the law given by God. He prayed and searched for a way to get closer to God. As a result of Davids extreme devotion and worship, Satans kingdom was being shaken. The prayer, praise and worship realm does tremendous warfare in the heavenly realm to 33

displace darkness and loose angelic activity on our behalf. Those of us who know higher levels of intercession, praise and worship often experience tremendous spiritual warfare as David did. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, Seek My face, my heart said to You, Your face, LORD, I will seek. Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take care of me. Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of 34

my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! Psalm 27:1-14 David asked God to teach him a way to get into His tabernacle and the Lord allowed David to develop a place where he could enter into Gods glorious presence. It is called the Tabernacle of David. How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young --even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You. Selah Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah O God, behold our shield, and look upon the face of Your anointed. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace 35

and glory; no good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You! Psalm 84:1-12 Prophetic revelation flowed in the Tabernacle of David. Most of the Psalms were written in Gods manifest presence within this historical tent. We can receive heavenly revelation and worship songs in a restored spiritual place such as this. Spirit led prophetic worship enters into Gods throne room. The pathway into Gods presence is open to all believers by the finished work of Christ. As we enter deeply into His presence we can experience a phenomenal realm of creativity and life where God pours out so much revelation that we can not contain it. God has given me so much in this place that I cannot write it all out even after twenty-six books and scores of teaching papers. There appears to be an ever increasing and expanding realm of glory for us to explore. We will need all eternity to begin to explore His heights and depths. Born in Zion And of Zion it will be said, This one and that one were born in her; and the Most High Himself shall establish her. The LORD will record, when He registers the peoples: This one was born there. Selah Psalm 87:5 David understood that not everyone was born into spirit filled praise and worship fueled by intense passion. There are many millions of wonderful Christians who will be in heaven with the Lord who are not born in Zion either. They are not praisers and worshippers.

36

Just as the Levites were only one of twelve tribes in Israel that did the priestly duties, there is only a small percentage of believers today who are true to their calling as priests who minister unto the Lord with prayers, fastings, praise and worship. They have a great inheritance in God. Even as the Levites were the stewards of the heavenly revelation in the Old Testament, the prophetic intercessors, worshippers and minstrels are the tribe responsible to fulfill their calling before God to build walls of intercession and to do high praise.

These people are obsessed as David was to know and follow the ways of God. They are always growing and learning and pressing in for more of Him. They can not function for long outside of His presence. They are somewhat addicted to His presence and long to walk in His grace and bring Him glory. They want to see Gods power and glory manifest just like David did. Both the singers and the players on instruments say, All my springs are in you. Psalm 87:5-7 No other springs will satisfy those whom God uses to restore the Tabernacle of David. They are extreme in their devotion and dedication to serving the Lord. They are the ones who come to Jesus to drink deeply and as a result, rivers of living water spring forth from their inmost beings26. Then His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up. John 2:17
26

John 7:37,38

37

The zeal of the Lord of hosts is available to those who will walk as Jesus, the son of David, walked. I pray that by Gods grace we are among those who do. That zeal is like our Father, an all consuming fire! Davids zeal was extreme in every way. God rewarded him with the revelation and grace to build a special worship center for 24/7 prophetic prayer, praise and worship.

David comprehended the Fathers heart for fellowship and community among His children. The Father experienced great loss at the fall of Satan and his angels. Even though God does not need mankind to be complete, He allows Himself to be vulnerable through compassion and perfect love. He creates beings knowing that some will choose to rebel against Him and grieve His heart. David understood this and determined to restore what was lost in heaven. What a bold move by a passionate and violent man. David did something so radical and yet so profound that most of the body of Christ still does not understand what He did. In the end times, the Church will get it and build an altar unto heaven of prayer, praise and worship. That altar will become the throne our Lord Jesus comes back to reign upon. Meanwhile, Satan is seeking to build a throne on earth where he is worshipped. There are two kingdoms, two thrones. The Christ and the Antichrist. The Kingdom of God (light) and the Kingdom of Satan (darkness). Choose this day, beloved, whom you will serve!

38

CHAPTER 4 THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the LORD. Then David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers accompanied by instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, by raising the voice with resounding joy. So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of their brethren, the sons of Merari, Ethan the son of Kushaiah; and with them their brethren of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the gatekeepers; the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were to sound the cymbals of bronze; Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with strings according to Alamoth; Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, to direct with harps on the Sheminith; Chenaniah, leader of the Levites, was instructor in charge of the music, because he was skillful; Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark; Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, were to blow the trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah, doorkeepers for the ark. So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the 39

LORD from the house of Obed-Edom with joy. And so it was, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bulls and seven rams. David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the music master with the singers. David also wore a linen ephod. Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps. And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the City of David, that Michal, Sauls daughter, looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her heart. I Chronicles 15:14-29 Davids intense passion empowered him to seek God for a way to bring in Gods manifested presence. Davids initial zeal without biblical knowledge caused the death of Uzza and the delay of establishing this center27. How often do we fall into this pattern with youthful zeal and impatience? Gods revelation generally comes in pieces. We must gather the pieces of revelation and pray for correct interpretation and application. Everything must be examined in light of the word of God. David failed to consult the word of God. Even though they worshipped with all their might and their hearts were right, God commanded the ark to be carried by poles on the shoulders of sanctified priests.

I Chronicles 13:1-14

40

David built a beautiful new cart to usher in the ark. How often do church leaders use a new program to try and bring in revival to church. Gods ways are higher and much better than our ways. We have to do it Gods way in Gods time or it will surely fail. David learned the hard way. So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. Then he distributed to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD God of Israel: Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, and Obed-Edom: Jeiel with stringed instruments and harps, but Asaph made music with cymbals; Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the ark of the covenant of God. I Chronicles 16:1-6 Everyone gets blessed when we usher in Gods presence in Gods way. David established 4,000 full-time paid musicians, 4,000 gatekeepers28 and 288 singers29. He financed nearly 10,000 workers to devote themselves to the extravagant praise and worship of Almighty God. He provided administrative leadership over the entire enterprise30.

Davids Inaugural Psalm for the Tabernacle On that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the LORD: Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, O seed of Israel His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth. Remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant, saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance, when you were few in number, indeed very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people, He permitted no man to do them wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm. Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the LORD is 42

great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and gladness are in His place. Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples, give to the LORD glory and strength. Give to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is firmly established, it shall not be moved. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let them say among the nations, The LORD reigns. Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; let the field rejoice, and all that is in it. Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. And say, Save us, O God of our salvation; gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles, to give thanks to Your holy name, to triumph in Your praise. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting! And all the people said, Amen! and praised the LORD. I Chronicles 16:7-43 This is a glorious song that David wrote for the celebration of bringing the ark into the new tabernacle. David was an extremely busy king, but his example challenges all of us to devote time and energy to creatively worship God. Davids priorities model what kingship in the spirit is all about. At least seventy-three of the Psalms are attributed to David and he 43

probably wrote hundreds of other prophetic songs that did not make it into the bible31. Davids son Solomon wrote 1,005 songs and we only have three of those recorded in the bible32. Forty-four Psalms are anonymous and may have been written by David or Solomon. The Sons of Korah wrote seven Psalms, Asaph wrote twelve Psalms, Heman and Ethan wrote one each and Hezekiah wrote eleven Psalms33. As our God is making us to be priests and kings, we are challenged to become more like David, write songs of the Spirit and participate in restoring heavenly worship on earth. Gods Prophetic Promise about Davids Tabernacle In mercy the throne will be established; and one will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness. Isaiah 16:5 God is going to judge all the nations of the earth upon His second coming. Since God is merciful, He will have the prophetic worshippers rebuild the tabernacle and establish throne room worship. The Lord Jesus will sit upon that throne initially in the atmosphere over regions that worship Him. He will be judging and seeking justice for all of His children that have been stolen from by the devil. His holy fiery presence will

hasten the completion of our righteousness by burning out all left over issues34. After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the LORD who does all these things. Acts 15:16,17 Almighty God has promised to return and rebuild what David established over three thousand years ago. David pitched a tent in a specific location and assigned priests to praise and worship God twenty-four hours a day for seven days a week continuously during his reign. The Tabernacle of David is a place established by God for continual prophetic prayer, praise and worship. That tabernacle stopped functioning shortly after David died. It had seasonal revivals, but was never sustained35. God said that He would rebuild this tabernacle so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord . God is returning through the presence of the Holy Spirit and is now rebuilding this tabernacle. There are many houses of prayer being raised up around the world where prophetic praise, worship and prayers are going up before God 24/7. It is a wonderful thing to be a part of this last day move of His Spirit.
34 35

See Isaiah 4 regarding the Spirit of burning Eight seasonal revivals included: Abijah II Chronicles 13:14,15; Asa II Chronicles 15:12-15; Jehoshaphat II Chronicles 20:18-22; Joash II Chronicles 23:12-15; Hezekiah II Chronicles 29:25-30; Josiah - II Chronicles 35:15; Zerubbabel Ezra 2:5,6; Nehemiah Nehemiah 12:27,36,45,46

Jesus said, And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. John 12:32 Jesus died and rose from the dead and is now exalted on a throne in heaven beside His Father. When we lift Jesus up from the earth, through prophetic praise and worship, He enthrones His glorious light and presence upon those praises 36. Jesus is the light of this world. When we exalt and bless His name it magnifies His light to shine in the atmosphere over the region where we are living. We are to worship Him in spirit and daily walk in His truth, obeying His word by living righteously in all ways. As our praise and worship is built by the Spirit to high and perfected praise in powerful agreement with many saints, the intensity of His light increases in the region. As His light increases, the darkness of the region is displaced. Individuals with darkness clouding their minds are suddenly awakened to their need for God and start seeking Him. They may be drawn to talk to a friend who radiates Gods love or go to a church where the love of God is shining brightly. God wants to draw all nations, tribes and peoples to Himself in this late hour. He has a plan to reap unprecedented last-day harvest and it includes rebuilding the Tabernacle of David. As prophetic prayer, praise and worship increases, He comes and establishes Himself in the midst of that region. Where there is little or no prophetic prayer, praise and worship, the enemy will fill that void with manifestations of His darkness. Since God has given the stewardship of earth for some ages to mankind, and since He has exalted His word above all His
36

Psalm 22:3

46

name, God always works within the boundaries of His word established on earth37. Gods ways are revealed to those who intimately seek Him and discover the revelation of His word. Gods way to mass evangelism and harvest is to rebuild and restore the Tabernacle of David through willing vessels who will allow the Holy Spirit to teach them how to worship in spirit and in truth. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23,24 God is seeking true worshippers who will provide New Testament priestly ministry unto Him for His glory to accomplish His purposes on earth. God is looking for intercessors to stand in the gap and build a wall of prayer so He can bless a person or place and not have to judge 38. God looks for those whose hearts are loyal to Him and will walk in agreement with Him39. The Key of David The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open. Isaiah 22:22 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and

47

no one opens: I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Revelation 3:7-9 Great authority was given to David to advance the Kingdom of God on earth. Davids model of prophetic praise, prayer and worship is a powerful key that will open the heavens to Gods power and glory and shut down Satans kingdom of darkness. As we grow closer to God and learn His ways, He releases greater realms of His authority and power to steward and advance His kingdom. God gives the Davidic worshippers keys to His kingdom. Those keys are revelatory counsel from God that allow us to walk in His might. No matter what situation we are faced with in life, there is a key to unlock kingdom resources to open heaven and shut out hell. We have to press into God by the leading of the Holy Spirit and pray, praise and worship until He reveals the key for that situation. We may be able to gain some levels of revelation and breakthrough on our own, but God is requiring loving community and agreement to accomplish many things for His ultimate glory and return to earth. End-Times Worshippers After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in

48

their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen. Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from? And I said to him, Sir, you know. So he said to me, These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:9-17 It is undeniable that a great host of worshippers are on earth during the great tribulation. God will deliver them out of that horrific season where they experience tremendous suffering including starvation, dehydration and sun scorching.

49

As a result of their faithfulness in restoring the Tabernacle of David on earth, they are blessed to serve God day and night in His temple forever. It is hard for us to comprehend that the greatest privilege in heaven is to be on the massive worship team that gets to stay in His magnificent presence close to the throne. We have so little understanding of His infinite majesty and beauty that we think this eternal occupation could get a little boring or old after a few millennia. However, Gods word reveals that this is the highest blessing and the best occupation in heaven. Lucifer and his angels were given the highest positions in heaven and were not content. We need to realize the truth, that there is no greater occupation than to be called to pray, praise and worship the Father as a full-time vocation. Satan had the perfect dream job and in the midst of incredible beauty and glory, he chose to rebel. A great number of the worship team of heaven fell with Satan and have been working to establish their goal on earth to build Satans throne above Gods. It is ironic that as Satan finally establishes his throne of worship directed towards the Antichrist, a human fully possessed by Satan, God is establishing His throne through millions of Davidic worshippers who will overcome him by the blood of the lamb, by anointed testimony and by laying their lives down in martyrdom40. Massive world-wide persecution will only fuel a greater intercession with praise and worship for the King of Glory to come back to earth.

40

Revelation 12:11

50

The Root and Offspring of David I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:16,17 Jesus told us that He is the root of David. All Davidic prayer, praise and worship is rooted in the love of God demonstrated in Christ. Jesus loved His Father perfectly and David captured this extreme passion from Jesus. Every root of our true worship today comes from the Lord. Jesus also told us that He is the offspring of David. In the natural, Jesus was a literal descendant or offspring of David. In the Spiritual, Davidic prayer, praise and worship births new moves of the Spirit. Jesus brought David forth and David brings forth Jesus. Davidic spirit-filled prayer, praise and worship ultimately ushers in Jesus return with continual bridal intercession that prevails upon Him to Come41. When the time is perfected and the intercession is complete, Jesus will come to take his bride and judge the earth. He will return in person at the end of the tribulation time period. The Spirit and Power of Elijah Jesus answered and said to them, Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. Matthew 17:11 The power to restore the Tabernacle of David requires the spirit and power of Elijah to rest on a generation of intercessors,

musicians and prophetic singers. The incredible spiritual warfare, praise, worship and birthing intercession will restore everything that we have lost through the ages. The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 29:29 Every gift, anointing, blessing, promise, mantle and revelation from God will be restored because they are legally ours. Satan was allowed to steal many of them for a time and season but in the justice of God, he must pay back everything sevenfold when he is caught. Davidic praise, prayer and prophetic worship does the kind of intercessory work to bring a warfare to the enemys kingdom. We will take back everything Satan has stolen from all generations before Jesus returns. The Dry Bones Come to Life The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? So I answered, O Lord GOD, You know. Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put

52

breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the LORD. So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also He said to me, Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. Then He said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off! Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it, says the LORD. Ezekiel 37:1-14 In the natural realm, this prophecy is being fulfilled in the nation of Israel as God has brought that nation back to its land in the last 70 years. In the spiritual realm, the sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus are maturing and rising up to

53

restore old mantles and anointings that were given by God as gifts to mankind. God is raising up a spiritual army as well to take their position shoulder to shoulder. They will become a devastating army of unity to advance Gods end-time plans against the enemy. They will be musicians, singers, dancers, intercessors, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, priests and kings flowing in resurrection life and power42. Gods breath will revive all the dead bones (anointings and moves of the Spirit) through the spirit and power of Elijah who will pray them back into restoration. Intercessors will pray the prayers the Holy Spirit gives them so God will do exactly what He said that He would do. It is an amazing time to be alive!

CHAPTER 5 PROPHETIC PRAISE AND WORSHIP Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. The woman said to Him, Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock? Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:10-14 An aspect of prophetic praise and worship is learning how to drink in the spirit realm. Drinking is to take in through the senses, especially with eagerness and pleasure. Spiritual drinking means to absorb, to involve the full attention of; to engross or engage wholly. We take in or assimilate good things in the spiritual realm through drinking in Jesus and meditating on Him and His word. As we minister unto the Lord with prayers, praise and worship, He unveils our minds and allows us to drink in deeper revelation about His character. We can drink in revelation, knowledge, understanding, peace, joy, love and all kinds of spiritual nourishment that satisfies our deepest desires. On the contrary, we can drink evil things in the spiritual realm as well through carnal music and entertainment, fleshly thinking 55

(jealousy, rage, lust, worry, judgment, criticism and so forth) and various forms of religious activities including all sorts of demonic prayer and worship. Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming (who is called Christ). When He comes, He will tell us all things. Jesus said to her, I who speak to you am He. John 4:21-26 Those who worship in spirit and in truth learn to drink in the living water and the life of the Spirit of God. When we develop this incredible thirst for more of Him, we press in to know Him in various ways. As we are satisfied and filled by the Holy Spirit over and over again, we tap into His rivers of living water that can flow through our inmost being and bring life to people the Lord wants to touch through us. On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39 56

There is great power in anointed preaching, teaching, testifying, prophetic song and various forms of prayer. When we release the rivers of His living water, the power and glory of God fills the atmosphere around us. During a testimony by Tommy Tenny years ago in Dallas, we experienced the heavy weighty glory of Gods magnificent presence for over two hours. Nearly everyone in the room was overcome by the Spirits manifest presence. Many fell out of their chairs under that power. It was astounding. Later, the Lord told me that this was an example of the release of living waters. I asked the Lord if I could do this. Anyone who gets saturated with the life flow of Jesus through drinking Him and His glorious presence can release rivers of living water. The next time I ministered at a meeting, I simply raised my hands and said, Lets just wait upon the Lord for a few minutes. In my heart, I was asking the Lord to release rivers of living waters and within a few moments, the same manifestations that I had seen in Dallas were released in our midst.

Gods Spirit also released many accurate prophetic words that helped His people know Him and His will better. Years after this experience, as I have begun leading worship in various places, we notice Gods river flows many times when I simply begin to play a few notes on the keyboard. If we wait upon the Lord and allow Him to come in any way that He desires, we simply learn to flow with Him and He fills the room with His glorious presence. 57

Once, a strong comment was made that I did too many songs that people did not know and that I should have familiar songs so people could enter into the worship. It seemed like a reasonable request, but I also felt a spirit of fear and mans control trying to take over. There are several times where I have a song from my notebook with chords and I attempt to play it. However, my hands start playing something completely different and I have been quite shocked. On this occasion, the Lord had me do only spontaneous prophetic music and song for over an hour and His Spirit fell powerfully. The person who made the comment afterwards admitted the comment was from the natural mind and this person gave thanks for the incredible anointing on the prophetic song. It was a breakthrough meeting and this same person entered into extraordinary visions of God. It is amazing what God does in prophetic music ministry! In the Tabernacle of David, God releases the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Christ), the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all (Ephesians 1:17-23). 58

Seed the Heavens And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, You are My people. Isaiah 51:16 God gives His anointed ones words to pray, sing and decree. He covers us with His anointed hand so that we will have the unction to pray and seed the heavens with His prophetic promises. He can then bring them to earth through continued intercession. Once Glenda and I were taking part in an extended 24 hour 7 day per week prayer meeting. During our time of prayer, I saw a native American angel dressed in full regalia dancing in an elliptical orbit around our altar. He was playing a drum and moving in a heavenly rhythm. Since we only seek to do what our Father is doing and revealing, I picked up a little drum and began shadowing the angels movements. Suddenly Gods power came upon me and I heard the following scripture: I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing. Ezekiel 34:26,27 Glenda looked up the verse and we began to sing it and continued to do the little dance at the altar and play the monotone native drum beat. I realized that I was doing a Holy Spirit rain dance and we were agreeing with God to plant the

59

heavens with prophetic words so that He could pour out His blessings upon us. A few weeks later, while I was playing African drums (djembes) during our worship service, several people got up and began to do a little dance in the same fashion the Spirit had led us to do. After a while, similar prophetic words came forth and I confirmed those by sharing our experience and the scripture quoted above. Gods Spirit may have thousands of intercessors around the globe doing similar prophetic things to seed the heavens and bring His prophetic words to earth like rain. As we have traveled and met believers of like mind, we discover that we are often being told to do similar actions, songs, dances, prayers and so forth. God knows exactly what He wants to accomplish and who He can use to accomplish it. Our job is to be fully surrendered and available to be used by God to accomplish all of His good pleasure. Behold His Glory But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Corinthians 3:18 A key focus of the Tabernacle of David is to enter into His presence so that we can see and experience the glory of the Lord. As we enter in deeply, He unveils our minds so that we can behold Him. The Spirit of the Lord imparts to us some form of revelation, vision or experience so that we can be transformed from the inside out.

60

Then Jesus answered and said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. John 5:1921 Jesus spent time early and often seeking to get into the glory realm so that He could see what the Father was doing. What Jesus saw in the heavenly realm was the kingdom reality for that day. Jesus then prayed that heavenly vision and walked it out each day of His life. When Jesus did or said what the Father showed Him to do, the results were supernatural. Jesus knew that those results would continue to increase as He was continually faithful to His Father.

In 1996, I made a commitment to only do what I saw my Heavenly Father doing. I had two major problems. I could not see in the spirit and I did not know anything about the prophetic. For many weeks I cried out, I just want to be like Jesus! Then one day I clearly heard, Do what Jesus did in Matthew four. I was shocked when I read Matthew four about Jesus forty-day fast and confrontation with Satan. I spent a lot of time and energy over the next months trying to get out of doing that. Finally, I was so desperate that I agreed to do it and set up the time, January 2nd through February 10th, 1997. It was a miserable fast physically speaking. I was cold and grumpy and barely made it through. At the end, I was invited to attend a

61

prophetic conference in Kansas City hosted by a man I had never heard of, Mike Bickle. On the evening of February 10th, a contingent of Christian leaders testified about how God had led each of them to do a forty-day fast. They had started a movement and were passing the torch of fasting to a leader from British Columbia who was taking a group of intercessors on the next forty-day fast. The goal was to keep it going with some group taking on the fasting until the Lord returned. I was blown away that the Holy Spirit had led me to get in on the exact timing of that first wave of fasting and prayer. During the ministry times, many prophets laid hands on me and prophesied what they felt God was saying to them. My spirit was prepared through fasting and prayer to receive huge downloads of impartation and suddenly I came under the spirit of prophecy. God answered my prayers and opened my eyes to see in the spirit as I continued to obey His voice. A whole new world opened to me so that I could see what the Father had for us to do. My life has never been the same since obeying Gods voice to fast and pray. The first thing He had me do was what He had Jesus do. The word is still the same for those who would learn to bind the strong man and plunder his goods, Do what Jesus did in Matthew four. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, we transitioned out of missions work and would spend the next fifteen years in prayer, praise, worship and writing on many biblical topics including 62

the Tabernacle of David. God has done amazing things and continues to help us grow as we drink in Jesus and release His life giving water where ever He leads us. As God has graced me to flow in prophetic praise and worship, I abandon myself to flow in what we see, hear or sense in the Spirit. The Spirit flows like waves of the sea and we can ride His glory over and over and He will draw people to Himself and meet their deepest needs. He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind, Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. Psalm 104:3,4 God builds places of intimacy in the spiritual waters created by prophetic praise and worship. In those deep waters, angels come to minister His wind, water and fire. As we experience His ever expanding presence in the waters, we are washed and transformed to become like His dear Son Jesus. To flow in deeper waters of intimacy with the Lord, we must learn to wait patiently on Him and not rush the service. This is challenging and not possible in places that have strict time boundaries. If the leadership is truly hungry for the manifested presence of the Lord, they will allow abundant time for Him to come and wait on Him patiently in the praise and worship. His intimate presence is extremely sweet, refreshing and exhilarating. Oh how we love Jesus!

63

CHAPTER 6 THE POWER OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the LORD who does all these things. Acts 15:15-17 Gods heart longs to draw all mankind to Himself. Our heavenly Father is glorious, magnificent, beautiful, good, merciful and full of compassion. He has a plan to deliver masses from darkness and bring them to His marvelous light. It is a simple plan. Rebuild the Tabernacle of David which has fallen down. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. John 12:32 The Tabernacle of David lifts up Jesus in prophetic prayer, praise and worship. As we continuously lift Jesus up from the earth and magnify His glorious Name, His presence comes into the atmosphere over the place where we worship. The Tabernacle of David is intense, continuous, spirit-led, spiritfilled prophetic prayer, praise and worship. It builds an altar of fire that burns away the darkness and breaks through the resistance of the enemy.

64

But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3 KJV But You are holy, O You Who dwell in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered]. Psalm 22:3 AMP As we build an altar or throne of worship, God comes to dwell and sit upon that throne in the spiritual realm. He is pure light and as we corporately lift Him up it enables Him to come in greater brightness and intensity. As more intercessors, singers, musicians and dancers exalt Him in strong agreement by the Holy Spirit, more of His light is able to come and radiate upon the inhabitants of that region. Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isaiah 60:1-5 Isaiah exhorts us to rise up in the light of Jesus so we can draw people unto Him. Jesus said, You are the light of the world 65

(Matthew 5:14a). We are to let our light in Christ shine and flow in the good works God gives us to accomplish so people will glorify the Father. Billions of people on earth are trapped in deep darkness. Their minds are deceived and held captive by bands of wickedness. When we lift Jesus up and exalt Him as the Light of the World, He comes and radiates His light in the spiritual atmosphere, breaks the bands of wickedness off minds, dispels regional darkness and draws the multitudes towards Himself. Historically, this is known as an awakening and we have seen it happen in many regions during the last century. Jesus is the Light of the World Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. John 8:12 Jesus has determined to work in partnership and agreement with those who will humble themselves, take His yoke and follow Him. While the earth is the Lords, He has given the stewardship of it for now into the hands of mankind. Gods word requires that He partner with willing vessels to accomplish His purposes43.

We choose whom we will serve and how we will steward our responsibility before God. We will be held accountable. In order to bring awakening to a region, we must partner with the Holy Spirit and be about the business of restoring the Tabernacle of David.
43

Psalm 115:16; Amos 3:7

66

God said that He would rebuild this tabernacle so that all mankind may seek the Lord. Think about that statement for a moment. God is going to work in individual hearts to restore 24/7 places of Spirit filled prayer, praise and worship so that ALL MANKIND may seek His face. Something is keeping mankind in bondage so that they can not seek His face. Satan has loosed deep darkness and deception over the minds of billions of earths inhabitants. We can pass out tracts, witness, hold crusades, build church buildings and do all kinds of religious activities, but that will not loose all the people from the deep darkness. What can loose them? How can we do it? It is so simple and we have missed it. Lift up Jesus! Pray to the Father in Jesus Name. Worship Jesus! Let the Holy Spirit help us pray, praise and prophesy. When the manifest presence of God begins to shine His penetrating light into a region, darkness has to flee just like turning a light on in a dark room. When the Light is shining over a region and in a region through Gods people walking in His light, the stumbling blocks, offences and the angels that gather remove blinders

that keep people from seeking the Lord44. The power of the Holy Spirit brings His deep conviction and He tenderizes hearts who begin to weep at His precious presence. During the awakening in Wales in the first part of the 20 th century, the Spirit of God fell on entire regions and people came
44

Matthew 13:41

67

under such conviction and weeping that they did not know what to do. Some went to the police station asking for help and were quickly redirected to the revival meeting at a nearby church. God used Evan Roberts and many others to draw a nation unto Jesus. This move of Gods Spirit was preceded by tremendous intercession and brokenness. As the outpouring increased, the worship and prayer continued to increase. God has touched many places throughout history where a handful of believers gather in an Upper Room and begin to give thanks, pray, praise and seek His face. When the Lord breaks in to a pure altar, the brightness of His light radiates out to draw multitudes to Himself. Then Jesus cried out and said, He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. John 12:44-47 Those who believe in the Light that comes into the region, become indwelt with His light. We become His light in the world and prayerfully witness to our family and friends. When Christ comes into a region, His light enables us to experience the light of His presence and opens our eyes to see truth in His incredible word. The revelation illuminates the spirit and soul of man which enables us to shine with His radiance. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light. These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them. John 12:36

68

We become sons of light through faith and start to walk in understanding and revelation. God is transforming us out of darkness into His light as we believe and obey Him. The Word of God is Light Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130 Years ago, I had a vision during prayer. I saw my wife completely transformed similar to Jesus transformation on the mountain. Glenda has lived her life filling her heart with Gods word. The entrance of Gods word has produced an eternal weight of glory within. When she later walked in the room, I expected to see her shining brighter than a Christmas tree. She radiates His life and love everywhere she goes. Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. Psalm 43:3,4 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:9 For You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalm 18:28 The Tabernacle of David enables us to come into His light. In the presence of His light we experience revelation. That 69

revelation transforms us inside out and gradually conforms us to the image of Christ as we walk in agreement with Him. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined. Isaiah 9:2 Satan cast a cloud of religious darkness over the nation of Israel for four centuries before Jesus was born. There was no widespread revelation during those dark days and the control spirit took over the temple of God so much so that the Pharisees, Saducees and chief priests ended up serving Satan and hating God manifested in the flesh. The Light of the World comes into the darkest of places. Anna and Simeon were faithful intercessors that prayed in

the birth of the Redeemer of Israel45. John the Baptist interceded during Jesus formative years to prepare the way for Him to come46. But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this, says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 4:2,3 The glorious light of Jesus brings healing to the people. Our modern world is full of sick people who need His healing presence. God releases a gift of healing that operates through
45 46

Luke 2:25ff; 2:36ff; Isaiah 40:1-5; John 1:23

70

His body. There is a greater measure of healing made manifest when Gods manifest presence fills the sanctuary. No one has to lay hands on anyone when God shows up in glorious power. We are contending for manifest presence that releases the healing wings of the Sun of Righteousness. The Zeal of the Lord of Hosts Again the word of the LORD of hosts came, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; with great fervor I am zealous for her. Thus says the LORD: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the LORD of hosts, the Holy Mountain. Zechariah 8:1-3 God is zealous to rebuild the holy altar that David established. Gods zeal is full of passion, purpose, intensity and energy. As we press into God for the vision to rebuild Davids tabernacle, God will impart some of His zeal to empower us. The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies. Isaiah 42:13 For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. Isaiah 59:17 In order to partner with God to rebuild the Tabernacle of David, we must learn to put on the full armor of God and overcome the 71

enemy with spiritual warfare. The weapons of our warfare vary greatly, but God is releasing everything we need to be more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. We overcome by the blood of Jesus, the word of testimony (prophecy) and not loving our lives even unto death47. God uses musicians, singers, dancers, flags, banners, shofars, declarations, decrees, prophecies, prophetic acts and high praise as aspects to His warfare against the enemy. As the body comes into unity in Christ in the bond of Gods peace, God pours out His anointing and empowers us to overcome and devastate every plan of the enemy on earth. At the end of this age, Satan establishes his throne for just a few short years. During this world wide reign of terror, God completes rebuilding the Tabernacle of David to usher in the King of Glory, the Lord of Hosts. Jesus literally comes back to earth on this throne of worship and destroys all of Satans plans and binds him in chains by a single angel48. Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise! Then His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up. John 2:1317

72

Jesus was consumed by heavenly passion to cleanse the house of God and demonstrate the Fathers love. After the temple was cleansed of mans ways and greed by Jesus zealous action, Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! they were indignant and said to Him, Do You hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, Yes. Have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise? (Matthew 21:14-16) There is a simple order here for zeal to follow: cleansing, healing and perfected praise. It takes zeal for the Fathers glory to cleanse our individual temples and church structures with prophetic intensity. Once the temple is cleansed, the blind and lame believers can be healed and set free by the power of God so that they can see and run the race with endurance. A major aspect of the race to the finish is to build an altar of Davidic praise. As missionary church planters for over two decades, we learned some hard lessons. We preached the gospel and led people to Jesus through outreaches, bible studies and various other means. We planted a church and invited people to come. Some responded but most remained trapped in darkness. The harvest was extremely thin and the work was so hard. What we were taught was not highly effective. I had to ask why? The simple answer is that we put the work of ministry before prayer and worship. Many burned out working 100 hour weeks trying to reach inner-city residents trapped in darkness. What if we had spent 40 hours a week in perfected praise? What if we 73

had exalted Jesus and developed an extravagant love for Him? What if we had only done what He revealed to do? He said he would draw all mankind to Himself and that He would cause them to seek Him. We could have had a great awakening! It is not too late beloved. We need to change our paradigm of evangelism for this end-time harvest. The Fathers heart is to reach all mankind. We can do our part through plugging into houses of prayer and spirit-filled places that press in for Davidic praise and worship49. We can all play a CD of anointed worship and do our part to build an altar of fire up to the heavens. High Warfare Praise Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment -- this honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD! Psalm 149

Part of Davids Tabernacle includes high warfare praise. As we lift up praise by the Holy Spirit, the Lord enables the warfare to take place on our behalf. We have participated in many worship times that have moved into extraordinary high praise. At times the Holy Spirit gives us prophetic actions, dances, words, decrees and scriptures to proclaim. We have made use of shofars, flags, banners, prophetic swords and all kinds of prophetic actions. We have a lot of percussive instruments available for people, especially children, to take hold of and join in the praise. The worship leaders, or one of the apostolic team members, will receive a leading from the Lord and the congregation will follow their lead. God gives amazing grace to follow His lead in this form of praise. God hates what the enemy has done to steal, kill and destroy and He can release His vengeance, judgments and justice during Spirit empowered high praise. Saints have the honor of releasing Gods written judgments by quoting prophecies of judgment recorded in Gods word when led to do so by His Spirit. As the Bride of Christ matures and becomes pure, she will step deeper into this privilege and responsibility50. This is a part of the royal priesthood of Melchizedek of which Jesus is our High Priest51. Flow in Prophetic Praise and Prosper So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of

Jerusalem: believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: Praise the LORD, for His mercy endures forever. Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped. When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much. And on the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berachah, for there they blessed the LORD; therefore the name of that place was called The Valley of Berachah until this day. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat in front of them, to go back to Jerusalem with joy, for the LORD had made them rejoice over their enemies. So they came to Jerusalem, with stringed instruments and harps and trumpets, to the house of the LORD. And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard 76

that the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. Then the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around. II Chronicles 20:20-30 When we follow the prophetic guidance in our praise, God releases His warring angels to fight on our behalf. This extraordinary story is a picture of Davidic praise that we can walk in today. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers came against Israel. Jehoshaphat wisely sought the Lord. God demonstrated His great power by calling for pure praise. Send out the singers and I will do the rest, the Lord basically said. Jehoshaphat obeyed and God did the rest. We have to partner with God to rebuild the tabernacle of David so that God can destroy His enemies and our enemies. As He pushes back the darkness, we get to participate in the harvest of souls that blesses our Fathers heart.

CHAPTER 7 FOLLOWING THE ANOINTING IN WORSHIP But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. I John 2:27 The anointing is the enabling grace of God present within and without that empowers us to move in harmony with the Holy Spirit to accomplish His purposes at any given time or situation. The anointing in worship is like following a current in a river. We need to know the currents and go with the flow of the Holy Spirit. It all begins with a heart of full surrender. We only long to do what is on the heart and mind of our Father in heaven. We may need to pray and praise a while until we tap into His flow. Through years of development, we learn to discern through our spiritual senses what God is doing and flow in that direction. The kingdom of God is within you. We open our hearts to magnify the Lord and open our spirits to connect to His Spirit. In that place of surrender and posture of seeking to glorify God, the Spirit will flow images or impressions to our spirit and minds as to what He wants. Then we simply do what we see, hear or feel to do. God has given me many songs and I have a large songbook with popular songs by other Christian artists. While I was preparing

78

to lead worship at one ministry engagement, I kept hearing the old song, In The Garden. I did not remember ever playing that song before, but I found the lyrics and chords on the internet and practiced it. I knew that it was my fathers favorite hymn that we sang at his funeral in 1982. That was a long time ago. I did not play the song the first week but kept hearing to do so. The next week, I determined to do the song starting off, I come to the garden alone. and was given great grace to do the song. Everyone knew the old song and Gods glory filled the room. It turned out it was the pastors favorite song and God just wanted to meet the desires of her heart at that moment. Something special happens now every time I play that song. It is similar with the song, How Great is Our God that flows into, How Great Thou Art. There are certain songs, hymns and spiritual songs that open doorways into His presence and anointing. Be Filled with the Holy Spirit Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:17-20 This classic scripture teaches us how to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In a nutshell, it is to praise and worship God with a 79

thankful heart in community. We can do this on our own, but God wants us to speak and sing corporately to bring in the fullness of the Spirits presence. We also must learn to do this no matter how we feel or what the circumstances are. God will move powerfully on our behalf when we learn to push through the painful circumstances and give Him praise! But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyones chains were loosed. Acts 16:25-27 The church at Philippi was planted after Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped God. Talk about shaking things up! They had been beaten and thrown in jail for casting a demon out of slave girl who brought income to her masters by practicing divination. Paul got into that situation because he followed a vision from God of a man crying out for help 52. Paul followed the vision and ended up beaten and bruised in jail. Despite the harsh situation, Paul and Silas praised God.

The Philippian jailer turned out to be the man in Pauls vision and his entire household was saved. They became the core of the church plant in Philippi that became Pauls number one financial partner in his missionary work. We have a classic letter to that church reminding us to Rejoice in the Lord always, even when you get beat up and thrown in jail53. Devotion to Worship and the Word

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word. Acts 6:4 The apostolic model of the first church is to be the wineskin model for leaders of the end-times church. We must continually give ourselves to prayer, which includes all manners of prayer, praise and worship! Then we will be saturated in the Spirit to focus on the now word of the Lord and diligent bible study. Colossians 3:16,17 Our heart focus is to please the Lord in all things. We are challenged to be filled with the word of Christ, the now word of the Lord that flows His wisdom to us. We are to keep our hearts in the love of God through praise and worship, constantly giving thanks to God for His infinite goodness. Entrance into His Presence Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For

81

the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100 The psalmist exhorts us to come before Gods presence with singing. We enter into His gates with thanksgiving and we enter closer through praise. As we move closer in praise we start to bless and magnify His name. As we gain access to His throne room presence, the river of praise shifts to worship and adoration. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. Psalm 33:3 God exhorts us to sing new spontaneous songs back to Him and play skillfully on our instruments to bring Him glory. Many times, as I sit at the keyboard and just start to sing in the spirit, God will impress specific things to sing. Today, I was impressed to sing Open the throne room doors that Your people may come in and other similar themes. This was just in my personal devotional time. As I enter into the new song, the Lord allows me to experience what I am singing. Often, the power of His presence is so great that I get intoxicated by His Spirit and have a hard time functioning. He has put a new song in my mouth--Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:3 New songs are fresh prophetic songs. New songs often cause the eyes of many to be opened and they reverence God and grow deeper in trusting Him. How many times have you gone to church wrestling with issues, but when you get caught up in the praise and worship, the Lord shepherds your heart into a place of trust and rest in His goodness? 82

During our missionary years of service, we planted a church and sought to meet the needs of our people. The wineskin has now changed. We do not try to meet peoples needs during our meetings, we seek to usher them into face to face encounters with the Living God through prophetic praise and worship. As we follow the Spirits leading in this, the anointing of God touches peoples hearts and He meets their inner needs. In His presence darkness must flee. Most of us get assaulted by some form of darkness every day. We need to be washed and cleansed from walking in this fallen world. An anointed worship team can lead tens of thousands into His presence and God can meet each one of His childrens individual needs simultaneously. Anointed praise and worship opens and tenderizes the human spirit to receive the seed of the living word of God. Then the preached word of God is powerful and extraordinarily life changing. We are commanded to read, study and preach the word of God. The apostolic flow focuses more on line upon line bible teaching for instruction and equipping. The praise and worship is a prophetic flow. God said he would build His church on the foundation of the apostles and prophets 54. Strong bible preaching / teaching and anointed praise and worship with prophetic ministry is to be the foundational core of churches today. Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above

all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Psalm 95:1-7 God will impress upon His worship leaders to sing Scriptures like Psalm 95 and many others. These words are already full of anointing. When used in the proper season and timing, they will open up doors into places of revelation and experiences with God. There are unlimited places in Gods glory where we will be transformed by beholding aspects of His greatness in each meeting55. God has been radically transforming our lives over the past years from glory to glory. It has been quite an adventure. The Song of the Lord Then Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD also began, with the trumpets and with the instruments of David king of Israel. So all the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished. And when they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed and worshiped. Moreover King Hezekiah and the leaders commanded the Levites to sing praise to the LORD with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped. II Chronicles 29:27-30

II Corinthians 3:18

84

The sacrifice of anointed praise often precedes the release of revelation needed for the song of the Lord to come forth. Praise enables us to enter into the place in the spirit where we can see what God is doing. The song of the Lord is completely prophetic and can include the voice of God Himself singing over His people. This aspect of the prophetic is greatly encouraging, exhorting and comforting to His people. It can be extraordinarily anointed and we must be sensitive and make room for this expression. As we honor the anointing by giving place to various gifts in the body expressed through prophetic words and songs, God can release the words and impartations He wants so that the body can be nourished and encouraged in Christ. Some gifted believers want to flow in the anointing every week and are the same ones that come forward. Some times they can become self-focused and need some leadership to stay Christ centered. It is not about the gift, it is all about pleasing the Father. The manifest anointing presence has the power to govern the entire body. Unfortunately, we are not all mature so God requires the leadership to steward His presence and provide some boundaries to the meeting that they feel are in line with what the Holy Spirit would have us do. Recently, Alan, a member of our church consulted with me about a man who wanted to give a testimony at our New Years Eve celebration. We had a number of planned ministry expressions in a lengthy program and our church is consistently flexible and spontaneous to Gods anointing. After listening intently, I felt a check in my spirit and simply said to Alan, No, tell him we have a full program. Maybe some other time. When the individual found out he could not share, he raged and cursed at Alan yelling and screaming. He called Alan back 85

several times yelling. Alan was able to minister to him in love later on.

Thats confirmation we made the right decision I told Alan. Most of the time, when people are extremely self-focused and self-promoting, they need to develop more maturity before they should be allowed to minister at the meeting. The anointing of God is infinitely powerful but easily grieved! As I was ministering in one meeting and the anointing was off the charts, the officiating deacon declared with a loud voice, Its time to close the church now! People wanted to stay and pray and receive more ministry. The Holy Spirits presence was grieved and lifted. People are so hungry for more of God that when visiting at a church that is not used to waiting on the Lord and riding wave after wave of His glory, we may end up praying for people in the parking lot or Dennys. God is good! Most churches are becoming more open to extended meeting times when Gods anointing is strong. The Holy Spirit asks our permission to move deeper and wider in our lives. If we do not open our hearts to receive Him and obey Him in new ways, He will gently withdraw. Some churches want to control Gods presence like He is a thermostat on the wall. They want comfort control and an on and off switch. God comes into some meetings and simply wants to take over. The leadership then has to decide what is more important. Do we want Gods presence or personal convenience? Religious leaders go for convenience and control. Davidic leaders take

86

the extended time to press in to see His glory and power come into the sanctuary!

87

CHAPTER 8 THE POWER OF ANOINTED MINSTRELS But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. II Corinthians 3:7-11 God demonstrated in the Old Testament under the Law of Moses tremendous glory upon the face of Moses and through various ministries of the prophets and musicians. We recognize that there was extreme radiance of Gods glory on Moses who met face to face with God. We discover in the bible, the glory of God filling the temple and fire falling from heaven to consume sacrifices. Paul tells us that our New Testament ministry is to be much more glorious than the old. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Corinthians 3:17,18 Anointed music is to facilitate the Spirit of the Lord bringing Gods people in to perfect liberty of love, prophetic prayer,

88

praise and worship. We are to flow in abandoned unashamed worship even as David did and beyond. We are to have unveiled faces before God beholding His glory and becoming radiant and transformed in His presence. The worship leaders job is to be a servant of God anointed to open the door to His glorious presence so that the people can draw near to God and behold Him. Anointed minstrels and singers are doorkeepers in the biblical sense. We are to open the door in the realm of the spirit so that people can enter into Gods holy presence. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You! Psalm 84:1012 The sons of Korah penned this classic Psalm. Their forefathers rose up in pride and rebelled against Moses authority and ended up severely judged by God56. Worship leaders and minstrels must heed this warning. We are called to be doorkeepers, sanctified ushers who usher Gods people into His presence. We must serve the Lord and the people like a doorman at an elegant hotel. While we are highly valued and gifted by God, we should never presume to be worthy of praise or the glory.

56

Numbers 16, 26:9-11

89

God often chooses to use the simple minstrels and singers to shame the highly educated ones57. The broken human vessel has a heart door that opens to the realm of the spirit. A pure passion with an abandonment to please the Lord is the minstrels call. Its not primarily about our skill or our ability. God wants us to be skilled on our instruments and develop our voices, but He is more concerned about our hearts and our willingness to follow His Spirit. Once I was asked to play a small Casio keyboard on a wobbly stand to lead worship at a meeting. I was not scheduled to lead worship or play, but I agreed to give it a try. The sound system was a tiny starter amp and the cords and mic were of a low end variety. My left hand would constantly find the firm plastic end of the keyboard since it only had about forty keys that were not weighted. The stand wobbled so bad that I had to use the pinky finger of my left hand to stabilize it while I tried to play. Within a few seconds during the warm up, the glory of God filled the room and people started dancing and worshipping the Lord with incredible liberty. I got caught up in the glory and rejoiced to see the Lord use me with this simple instrument. I knew it wasnt the instrument or the skill. I believe the Lord wanted to teach me how He can use the simple things to shame the wise. Rarely have we ever experienced such amazing glory since that time. He also decided to promote me on that day and launch me into divine connection with this ministry. By Gods grace, I now have a wonderful 88 weighted key keyboard and excellent sound equipment. But I am often asked to plug into whatever is available or use whatever keyboard is
57

I Corinthians 1:27

90

available. It is hilarious what we run into with some church sound systems. I reflect back on that day when God showed up so powerfully and dont sweat the small stuff like the quality of the instrument or sound system. While I work hard in preparation and practice quite often, it is not about my skill or yours. It is so much more about your heart of adoration and yieldedness before the Lord. Developing your sensitivity to the moving of His Spirit is more important than having wow skill. In fact, if you do have great skill, you will need to lay that down before the Lord so that you dont show off and draw attention to yourself. All the attention should be directed to ministering to the Lord who is worthy of all praise. Satan was the most skilled minstrel of all times and look what happened to him! The Powerful Hand of the Lord And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you. But now bring me a musician. Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. And he said, Thus says the LORD: Make this valley full of ditches. II Kings 3:14-16 Anointed musicians can open the realm of the spirit so that the powerful hand of the Lord comes upon His prophets. The hand of the Lord is a strong anointing that supernaturally empowers His people for various exploits. The hand of the Lord came upon Ezekiel many times and opened up the seer realm58.

58

See Ezekiel 1:3; 3:14,15; 3:22; 8:1,2; 40:1,2

91

In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was captured, on the very same day the hand of the LORD was upon me; and He took me there. In the visions of God He took me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain; on it toward the south was something like the structure of a city. He took me there, and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze. He had a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand, and he stood in the gateway. Ezekiel 40:1-3 In our ministry, we pray and ask God to release His anointing upon His people. When He touches individuals, especially prophetic ones, His hand comes upon them and they can enter into visions of God and go in the spirit to places and see things. We like to have an open microphone so people can share what they are seeing during these times. Often, the Lord will then have me sing what they have seen and we can all enter into the vision to some degree. Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. I Kings 18:46 As Gods anointing comes upon His people, He can give them supernatural strength to run the race with endurance. All of Gods people need to be strengthened and we should pray for Gods hand to come and strengthen His people as we lead worship. The Transforming Power of Anointed Music After that you shall come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is. And it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of 92

prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying. Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you. You shall go down before me to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and make sacrifices of peace offerings. seven days you shall wait, till I come to you and show you what you should do. So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God gave him another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. And it happened, when all who knew him formerly saw that he indeed prophesied among the prophets, that the people said to one another, What is this that has come upon the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? Then a man from there answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb: Is Saul also among the prophets? And when he had finished prophesying, he went to the high place. I Samuel 10:5-13 Prophetic minstrels can open the door so that the spirit of prophecy falls on those who come into close proximity. Saul stepped into this realm and was instantly empowered to prophesy. The anointing that came upon him amazed the people. Anointed songs are doorways that open into various realms of Gods presence. When practicing our music, we should practice 93

opening the door into the spiritual realm and understand the way the anointing flows. Some songs open up a healing door. Others open up a prophetic door. Through developing your senses, you can learn the various anointings and flows of the Spirit of God. It is a blessed adventure to learn His ways! Anointed minstrels and worship leaders can open up the spirit of prophecy so strong that all who come into that presence can experience some level of prophetic anointing. It changes and transforms lives when people experience Gods revelatory realm. We are to earnestly desire to prophesy59. This is a vital ministry to develop for those of us who are called to it.

The Delivering Power of Anointed Music Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well. So Saul said to his servants, Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me. Then one of the servants answered and said, Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him. Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, Send me your son David, who is with the sheep. And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by his son David to Saul. So David came to
59

I Corinthians 14:1

94

Saul and stood before him. And he loved him greatly, and he became his armor bearer. Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight. And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him. I Samuel 16:16-23 David spent countless hours worshipping the Lord while watching over his fathers sheep. Davids skill increased through these personal devotional times as He entered into the presence of the Lord. Davids anointing increased greatly so that demonic forces could not stand before Gods manifest presence that would come as David opened the door for Gods glory to come. Minstrels and singers need to be like David and develop their skill while ministering unto the Lord. I diligently practice the songs I write or plan to use at a service, but I also focus that practice time on getting into Gods river and ministering unto the Lord. Minstrels should pray and fast asking God for the anointing of David so that when they play music, Gods manifested presence and power sets the captives free. Getting into a community of intercessors and worshippers greatly accelerates the learning process. Prayerfully search out anointed minstrels and receive prayer and the laying on of hands through them. God has released powerful anointings to me and many others in this way. The simple key is following the leading of the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to position you in the place where you can receive and then flow in His anointing. 95

David organized the praise and worship in great detail so that a powerful anointing would continue to expand over the region 60. He separated anointed minstrels to prophesy with harps, stringed instruments and cymbals (I Chronicles 25:1).

David had thousands of paid professionals orchestrating the praise and worship. There were instrumentalists, singers, trumpeters, gatekeepers and doorkeepers assigned to facilitate continuous high level anointed prayer, praise and worship61. David Brings the Ark to Jerusalem So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom with joy. And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the City of David, that Michal, Sauls daughter,
60 61

I Chronicles 25:1-7 I Chronicles 15:16-24

96

looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her heart. I Chronicles 15:25-29 So David said to Michal, It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor. Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death. II Samuel 6:21-23 David teaches us to play music before the Lord no matter what the religious people say to us. We have to be willing to act completely undignified as we worship God with all our heart, soul, strength and might. God will have us worship with dance, shouting, clapping and all sorts of music and creative prophetic expressions. We have to be completely abandoned to the anointing within the structure provided by the leadership. I will sing a new song to You, O God; on a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You. Psalm 144:9 Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets. I Chronicles 13:8 Notice that David and all Israel played music before God will all their might. We try to do as the Spirit leads, and at times, He

97

directs us to play with all our energy and might. There are times when I feel weak. I want to be like David and give my best effort every time God gives me an opportunity to lead praise and worship. As we totally lean upon God, His anointing helps tremendously. One man came up to me after worship and said, Ive never heard anyone play and sing with such intensity and fervor. Its just overwhelming! When we are weak, He can be so strong! Gods breakthrough power requires that we lean on Him so that we can completely pour ourselves out with the power of His might. God also delights in our creativity and a variety of instruments. My main instruments are piano/keyboard, guitar and all sorts of percussion. I probably play African Djembes (jim-bays) the most on our home church worship team. Sometimes, the Lord will give me a unique beat as Im abandoned to Him. When the leaders recognize the anointing, they go with it and the whole worship team follows. It is glorious what God will do. Some mornings a prophetic dream is told and the worship team moves in that direction. God often awakens my ear with a song and I know that the anointing will be upon that song 62. If I am leading the worship, I will usually do that song first or soon into the service. If another is leading, I will usually tell them the song before the service and let them decide what to do about it. Invariably, once they start the song that I was hearing, the anointing falls and the worship takes off.

62

Isaiah 50:4

98

Miraculous power in worship is released by the principle of counsel and might63. When we follow Gods counsel, He releases His might. It is also the principle of miracles flowing through the hearing of faith64. When we flow in what we hear in the Spirit, like what song to sing, God can release His miracle working power. My song book is full of songs that I have heard in the spirit. Many times, early on the morning I am to lead worship I will hear angelic music and I generally recognize the song. It is often not in my song book and I have to look up the song on the internet or ask my wife to help me write down the words. Then I can put chords to it and get it on the computer for the video and rush to church. It keeps me depending on God for fresh music that is the now music of the Spirit of God. Anointed minstrels need to stay in the anointing of the song of the Lord as much as possible. If you pray for this, God will give it to you. He will awaken your ear and train you in His ways. Just go with what God is showing you to do and do not get into the fear of man 65. If you are not in charge, submit what you are getting to the leader and leave it in Gods hands. Leading worship is a tremendous responsibility. There is no greater privilege than to be graced by God to usher people into His glorious presence and to open the door of heaven so that God can draw near His people. We are called to steward that responsibility with excellence in every aspect of preparation. We must prepare our hearts with humble reverence and fervent prayer. We must quietly listen and carefully prepare ourselves and others to minister the songs God gives us

with diligent practice and thorough preparation in all aspects of the worship experience. Leading worship is a sacred trust given by God that we will do those things on His heart and mind in faithful service. Leaders should be extremely committed as David was to orchestrate the best quality of worship possible to magnify the King of Glory. In the midst of diligent preparation, we must be abandoned to the Holy Spirits flow to move into prophetic songs spontaneously during the service. God will help us find His desired menu of planned and spontaneous expressions of worship so that He can be glorified and commune with His people. The Davidic Psalmist Brings in Gods Word and Glory Now these are the last words of David. Thus says David the son of Jesse; thus says the man raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel: The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue. The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me: He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, like the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain. II Samuel 23:1-4 David was a great leader, an anointed psalmist that had the word of the Lord on his music and voice. Our leadership in worship must mature to be like Davids. We must lead to please God and bring light and revelation in pure worship that is holy. The dew of the anointing is pure and falls on all of Gods people so they may be strengthened to give Him all the glory that He so richly deserves. 100

And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions), and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets -- indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: For He is good, For His mercy endures forever, that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God. II Chronicles 5:11-14 Our goal as minstrels is to usher in the glory of the Lord, bringing the Kingdom of Heaven into the earth realm. When we work together in harmony with the Holy Spirit and His anointing and in unity with one another, God can bring in ever increasing measures of His heavy weighty glory. Until we ascend to this level of worship where we can no longer function, we still have a ways to grow. When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD,

101

because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORDs house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying: For He is good, For His mercy endures forever. Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD. King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. And the priests attended to their services; the Levites also with instruments of the music of the LORD, which King David had made to praise the LORD, saying, For His mercy endures forever, whenever David offered praise by their ministry. The priests sounded trumpets opposite them, while all Israel stood. II Chronicles 7:1-6 In 1996, the Lord spoke to me a prophetic word every day for over 30 days. It was simply this, I want to fill My temple with My glory, but first My temple must be cleansed. We are the temple of God individually and corporately. We each have to be cleansed by God who is our all consuming fire. The Lord has been cleansing, breaking, shaking and training me for years. We need to die daily to self (flesh) and live daily unto the Lord by His Spirit. We need to grow in grace and knowledge of Gods word, walk in the ways of His Spirit and embrace the heart of our Father. As we develop and mature as Sons of God, He will release ever increasing levels of His anointing so that we can usher in His glory to fill the temple with light and drive out all darkness. The minstrel, psalmist, worship leader calling is an extremely high calling in Christ. We must learn to be completely yoked 102

with Jesus and allow Him to cleanse us so that we can be pure and bring forth a pure stream of anointed praise and worship. We also must be completely submissive to the leadership of the place where we are ministering even if they dont understand the anointing the way we do. They are responsible before God for the meeting and we are responsible to do our part under their authority. Remember how David longed to find a resting place for the Lords manifested presence. God is looking for places to abide and dwell, not just visit. Let the Holy Spirit lead you to the place where you can partner with others in rebuilding the Tabernacle of David.

103

CHAPTER 9 RESTORING THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, listen to me: Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the LORD who does all these things. Acts 15:12-17 God wants all of His lost children of every culture, tribe and tongue to seek His face in these end times. God has promised to return and rebuild the Tabernacle of David. This is something God is totally committed to doing. God is going to build this aspect of His church and the gates of hell shall not be able to stop it or overcome it!66 Pure prophetic praise and worship started to be restored at Pentecost but within a few hundred years had fallen down once again. The Dark Ages were extremely dark in terms of Davidic worship. The ecclesiastical order predominant for over a thousand years did not offer much Davidic freedom nor creative expression of vibrant praise. There may have always
66

Matthew 16:18

104

been a small remnant of worshippers, but widespread restoration has been a long time coming. The Protestant Reformation brought worship and the word to the people in a language they could understand and some singing was restored. This was a positive step towards restoration and has continually developed over the past several hundred years. The restored Tabernacle of David is so powerful in the spiritual realm that it causes all mankind to seek the Lord. This is Gods end-times evangelism strategy. With the prayer, praise and worship air war accomplished, He can send in the evangelists as the ground troops. We are commanded to preach the gospel to all creation and God is going to prepare their hearts to receive and seek after His word once Davidic prayer, praise and worship is established in the region. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Ephesians 2:19-22 God is creating a dwelling place for Himself in the Spirit. When we work in cooperation with His apostles and prophets, with the word and the Spirit, we can partner with God to build a place that measures up to Gods standards in Christ. It is in those places that God can come and dwell. When God comes into the house, the breakthroughs all come with Him. Healings, miracles, signs, wonders, salvations, deliverances and finances all come in with Him. Our primary goal should be to 105

work at getting our lives and altars clean and prepared so that He can come and bring His glory. Lift up Jesus in Praise and Worship And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. John 12:32 The simplest strategy is the most profound. The Tabernacle of David is to lift up Jesus in perfected prayer, praise and worship. We are to follow the prophetic anointing and do the things the Holy Spirit shows us to do. As we lift up Jesus, He begins to draw all peoples to Himself. The Lord is enthroned upon our praises. Prophetic praise and worship magnify His light for a region. As His light fills the spiritual realm over a region, people in darkness begin to see His light in their spirits, in their dreams. In response to our prayers, He pours His spirit out on all flesh and dreams and visions become common place67. We are called to open the heavens for the end-time outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Could their be a higher calling?

Davidic worship helps us love the Lord God with all our hearts, souls, mind and strength. This enables us to flow in His great commandment and also empowers us with His love to love our neighbors with His compassion 68. Heavenly Worship Comes to Earth And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven

seals. Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals? And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals. And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth. Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and 107

wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing! And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever! Then the four living creatures said, Amen! And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. Revelation 5:1-12 The prayers and worship of the saints on earth come into complete oneness with heaven in Johns amazing vision. As we learn the culture and protocol of heavenly worship by the word and the Spirit, we will come into perfect agreement during the end times. The Antichrist will build his throne on earth and will have political rulership for a brief time. During the great tribulation, the restored Tabernacle of David will be lifting up Jesus, enthroning Him in praise and with such perfect agreement that billions will seek the Lord. The greatest worship team of all human history will be raised up right in the midst of Satans strongest control on earth. The Heavenly Restoration Satan stole most of the worship team of heaven and brought them in his rebellion under Gods judgment to earth. At the soon coming end of the age of grace on earth, God will restore to heaven what was lost in the midst of Satans most powerful wicked rule on earth. Read closely what the word of God declares.

108

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! Revelation 7:9-17 The greatest and highest privilege and occupation of heaven is to be assigned to worship the Lord day and night forever. It is incomprehensible to us how great a blessing and privilege this 109

is. It is the highest honor ever for created beings. God is simply so fantastic, so beautiful, so incredible, so amazing, so off the charts awesome that there is no better place to ever be than in His incredible presence. Being a Davidic worshipper on earth is a great honor and privilege. It has extreme challenges at times but is worth everything to obtain the final prize. Those who endure extreme suffering in the midst of the worst conditions on earth, those who refuse to submit to the Antichrist and the Beasts economic system, choose to worship God unto death. Most of the future worship team in heaven are martyred ones who come out of the Great Tribulation! Isnt that astounding? Can you picture the contrast? Lucifer was in the absolute highest place in a perfect environment and chose to rebel against God and forfeit His assigned duties as the exalted worship leader. He and his followers will end up in the Lake of Fire for all eternity. The overcoming Church, in the worst time of human history under the most despicable world leadership of hateful control will not bow their knees to Satan, but will worship the living God under the spirit and anointing of David. This will cost the lives of millions of worshippers. In reward for their overcoming unto death in the face of hideous persecution, they get to be on the worship team of heaven and live in Gods magnificent joyful presence for all eternity. We will need to understand this reality clearly if we are still on earth during those dark days. Many will have to reexamine their theology because too many still believe that all believers will be raptured before the great tribulation takes place. If that was true, where do the millions of believers come from who come out of the great tribulation in Revelation 7 quoted above? I do believe there is a rapture of the Church that remains sometime before the millennial kingdom begins, but this 110

passage and the witness of my spirit indicates that I should get myself ready in the Spirit to overcome by the blood of the lamb, by the word of testimony and by not loving my life unto death69. This is the Hour for True Worshippers to Arise But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23,24 The Father is seeking pure worshippers, sons of David who will pray, praise and worship Him in spirit and in truth. God will require us to repent and renounce all of our sins and walk humbly yoked with Jesus. We are responsible to cleanse our own hands, purify our own hearts and become single minded in pursuit of Him70 As we walk by faith and please God, diligently seeking Him, He will reward us71. On earth we shall experience ever increasing opportunities to have our faces unveiled and behold His glory. Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the LORD went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp. So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended
69 70

111

and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. Exodus 33:7-11 Moses experienced face to face conversations with God and was transformed to radiate a fading glory. How much more glorious is our opportunity in this amazing hour? When the people saw the manifest presence of the Lord in the Old Testament they rose to honor His presence and worshipped. God is going to restore an even greater tent of meeting, even a world wide Tabernacle of David. The radiant splendor on this tabernacle will draw all mankind to rise up and worship Jesus greater than anything ever seen72. The glory of the latter house will exceed the former. This is Gods heart and mind and He will raise up many faithful priests to accomplish this amazing vision in this hour. And everyone who has this hope in Him, purifies himself, just as He is pure. I John 3:3 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever. I Samuel 2:35
72

Unfortunately, many will stubbornly refuse to repent no matter what God does for them (Revelation 9:20,21; 16:9,11).

112

Samuel and David were faithful priests in their day. Jesus is our faithful High Priest. Now its our turn to be faithful, purify ourselves by His grace and restore the Tabernacle of David. This is what is in the heart and mind of our Father. So let us be about His business so that the King of Glory can come into His house.

113

CHAPTER 10 THAT THE KING OF GLORY MAY COME IN For thus says the LORD of hosts: Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory, says the LORD of hosts. The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the LORD of hosts. Haggai 2:6-9 As God is restoring the Tabernacle of David, He shakes the earth with His end-times judgments. The purpose of His shaking is so that all nations shall come to Jesus, the Desire of All Nations. This corresponds in perfect harmony with the restoration of Davids prophetic prayer, praise and worship. God will fill His people and houses of prayer with ever increasing measures of His glory until at last, in the second coming of Jesus Christ, the King of Glory visibly and tangibly returns to earth to establish His rule and hold mankind accountable. The restored Tabernacle of David brings in ever increasing glory so that all mankind can see the radiance of His splendor on His people. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit and He is going to fill those purified ones left on earth with His glory73.
73

I Corinthians 3:16

114

Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isaiah 60:5 God will fill His people with glory and provide abundant resources even in times of world wide economic upheaval. Jesus prayed that we would experience His glory. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me (John 17:22,23). As we prophetically pray, praise and worship the Lord in face to face encounters, His glory will come upon us and make us extremely attractive to the world that is overcome by deep darkness. We will arise and shine with Gods glory and multitudes will be drawn to a people filled with the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit. We shall be the glorious sons of God with the power to heal and deliver, setting at liberty those who are oppressed. For the LORD shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. Psalm 102:16 Zion is a prophetic term for the Tabernacle of David, the place of spirit filled, spirit led, prayer, praise and worship that leads into His throne room presence. It is a place of by My Spirit says the Lord, where mountains are moved and miracles happen all the time74. Zion is the spiritual mountain

where God dwells75. By His grace in Christ, we can ascend into Zion and behold our great King of Glory76. The King of Glory Shall Come In The earth is the LORDs, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters. Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Psalm 24:1,2,7-10 The ultimate purpose of end times prophetic worship is to usher in the King of Glory, Jesus Christ, at His second coming. The earth is rightfully owned by God and He will return to hold mankind accountable. It is a critical time period where we must decide whom we will serve. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face. Selah Psalm 24:3-6

Gods servants must cooperate with the Holy Spirit and partner with Him to clean our hands, purify our hearts and perfect holiness in the fear of God77. As we ascend into His holy hill we are drawing nearer to our awesome King. When we draw near to Him, He also draws near to us 78. Ultimately we draw so near that we are caught up in the air with Him to return in victory over the earth79. We must earnestly pursue holiness to ascend into higher levels of Davidic worship. We cannot be worshipping idols on the side. God will deal with all of our idols as we continually press in for more of His presence. His brazen altar of fire is ever ready to consume the sacrifice of our flesh at the gateway into His presence. Holiness comes through faith in the power of Christs cross and a lifestyle of obeying Gods word and Spirit. God cleanses us by the blood of Jesus as we repent and washes us with the water of His word so that we can be sanctified body, soul and spirit80. In order to usher in His glory in ever increasing measures, we must also have a Davidic hunger for God and thirst for His righteousness81. We must learn to walk by faith that God will answer our prayers and give us all good things in Christ.

Psalm 84:11 Righteous servants will establish pure altars that measure up to the stature of maturity in Christ. People will worship in spirit and in truth led by anointed and skilled singers, musicians and leaders. The unity in the Spirit will release a holy oil from heaven to anoint the believers to go higher and deeper. God will pour out His glorious Spirit on all flesh. Those who know His ways will be empowered to move in high levels of His gifts which will result in many miracles, healings, words of knowledge, wisdom and new inventions. Prophetic encounters with God will become commonplace and we will need them to survive the persecution of the Antichrist82. We will experience such an infilling of the seven-fold Spirit that we will walk in open heaven revelation and will access every spiritual blessings in the heavenly places for us in Christ 83. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation in Christ will rest upon us and we shall be radically changed into His likeness. The radiance of His splendor upon us will draw people to Himself through our life and testimony. The Riches of His Glory To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Imagine for a moment what is available in the riches of His glory in Christ. In one word, EVERYTHING. All of the promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. We are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ 84. In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided 85. Who may ascend into His Holy Hill86? We live on earth and all the blessings are in heavenly places in Christ. We have to ascend in the Spirit to behold them, believe them and pull them down into our experience through faith and the works of faith such as prayer, praise and prophetic worship. Everything we will ever need to overcome in this lifetime is available to us. God sometimes sends it down to us, but He is requiring us to mature and come up and take hold of it by intense prayer87. The Tabernacle of David will facilitate our ascending into His presence and descending back into our real world lives with His grace and glory. We shall learn more and more to walk in both places at the same time like Jesus did. Then we will continuously be discovering abundant grace, truth, wisdom, revelation, knowledge, understanding and soundness of mind. In His glory we will experience total forgiveness, deliverance, cleansing, wholeness, healing, divine health, creative miracles, strength, energy, zeal and power. We will receive an abundance of wealth, provisions, supplies, food, divine connections, dreams, visions, encounters and angelic visitations. We will have instant answers to prayers and walk in signs and wonders. We will have everything in Gods infinite

ability and resources to enable us to overcome and become more than conquerors in Christ. So let us partner with God and do our part to restore the Tabernacle of David so that the King of Glory may come into our lives, our churches, our regions and ultimately back to His world. Who is this King of Glory? He is the Lord of Hosts, the warrior God who comes to judge His enemies and establish justice and righteous rule on the earth for one thousand years. Then the Lord will deal with Satan and the rebellious spirit and we who love the Lord shall always be with Him in paradise forevermore88!
