For - It is a scheme which provides legal guarantee for jobs or employment to the rural sector of our country. - There is an increase in the number of people who are willing to do manual work for a minimum wage which has resulted in an increase in employment. - It improves the purchasing power of the rural community, encouraging them to do work. - Women have also come out and are now consist of more than one-third of the stipulated force. Further increasing the number of people employed. - Rural people have shed their fear of coming outside and have started to work towards the development of the nation as they are getting wages, which is encouraging other unemployed people to work as well. Against - It is criticized as it is thought to be no more effective than the other employment programs that have been enlisted in the system. - It has resulted in more corrupt officials which resulted in deficit in the source of funds. - This is not effective as it has resulted in poor quality of infrastructure and has an unintended destructive effect on poverty. - This scheme doesnt teach new skills to the unemployed that is necessary for the development of the country. - The conditions that are provided to the rural people are not sufficient to lure them to get employed.

Hard work or Smart work - Which is important? Rajani Sharma 01-9-2012 01:33 AM Work is important to do as it takes us to the next level of success. The most important question you should ask at this place is what kind of work will take you to that level: is it hard work or smart work. For - Smart work is really the need of the hour. - Smart work saves lots of time and allows you to be more organized. - Through smart work your goals can be reached faster. - Doing smart work allows you to save time for other things which you might not get by doing hard work like, exercise, spending time with family etc. - Smart work brings lots of recognition from the society and allows you to grow more in the industry you are in. Against - Hard work takes lots of time just to make things correct.
- It is totally time consuming and exhausting experience, as after doing lots of work you left out with less energy to do anything else. - Hard work doesn't allow you to fully use your brain and it pushes you for more physical work. - In terms of determination and persistence hard work is really important but not lot can be achieved. - Working hard is not enough as it might not bring the best result of a problem or a situation. I would like to conclude in the end that smart work is really important as it saves time and allows you to reach your goals faster than that of a hard work.

RE: Corruption Shreyan 11-25-2012 09:38 PM As pollution and population, corruption become a new headache to our country. though there is no solution "balm" for such a headache, and we the aam-aadmis are facing the main problem. A formerly studious and meritorious student didnt get a job if his father is out of his pocket. Nowadays in India there is no one to praise, but hidden to press for money. As per latest news in India approximately 63% Indians are corrupted. The corrupted father should know that their sons are being corrupted from them and in future if the man goes to the department his son may raise his left hand for the solution he is seeking for. At last I'll say, though I know no one will care for it, "NO! I am Indian. I'm proud I'm Indian. I'll stand my country first not for CORRUPTION, but as INCREDIBLE amongst the incredibles for a fresh one in mind." RE: Corruption venkata Radhika 11-27-2012 08:57 PM
corruption is spiritual or moral impurity or deviation from an ideal. Corruption entails many forms including bribery and embezzlement. Government corruption occurs when an elected representative makes decisions that are influenced by vested interest rather than their own personal or party ideological beliefs. Corruption can occur on many different scales. There is corruption that occurs as small favours between a small number of people (petty corruption), while there is the corruption that affects the government on a large scale (grand corruption), and corruption that is so prevalent that it is part of the every day structure of society (systemic corruption). Government/ Public Sector Public sector corruption is one of the more dangerous forms of corruption as corruption of the governing body can lead to widespread effects. Legislative System (Political) Political corruption is the abuse of public power, office, or resources by elected government officials for personal gain, e.g. by extortion, soliciting or offering bribes[6] It can also take the form of office holders maintaining themselves in office by purchasing votes by enacting laws which use taxpayers' money.[7] Executive System (Police) Police corruption is a specific form of police misconduct designed to obtain financial benefits, other personal gain, and/or career advancement for a police officer or officers in exchange for not pursuing, or selectively pursuing, an investigation or arrest. One common form of police corruption is soliciting and/or accepting bribes in exchange for not reporting organized drug or prostitution rings or other illegal activities. Another example is police officers flouting the police code of conduct in order to secure convictions of suspects for example, through the use of falsified evidence. More rarely, police officers may deliberately and systematically participate in organized crime themselves. In most major cities, there are internal affairs sections to investigate suspected police corruption or misconduct. Similar entities include the British Independent Police Complaints Commission. Judiciary System Judicial Corruption refers to corruption related misconduct of judges, through receiving or giving bribes, improper sentencing of convicted criminals, bias in the hearing and judgement of arguments and other such misconduct. Governmental corruption of judiciary is broadly known in many transitional and developing countries because the budget is almost completely controlled by the executive. The latter undermines the separation of powers, as it creates a critical financial dependence of the judiciary. The proper national wealth distribution including the government spending on the judiciary is subject of the constitutional economics. It is important to distinguish between the two methods of corruption of the judiciary: the government (through budget planning and various privileges), and the private.[8] Corporate As corporations and business entities grow larger, sometimes with a monetary turnover many times that of small countries, the threat of corruption in the business world, within the organisation, in dealings with other organisations and in dealings with the government is a looming and growing threat.[citation needed]Companies may indulge in political corruption. Unions Labour unions were formed to protect and further the rights of employees via collective bargaining. However, as with other entities, corruption has been known to
happen within the organisations. In addition, some unions have been infiltrated by, or associated with organised crime syndicates. Non-Government Organisations NGOs and other non-profit organisations are not immune to corruption and may be linked to political corruption. Different Methods of corruption Bribery Embezzlement, Theft and Fraud Extortion and Blackmail Abuse of Discretion Favouritism, Nepotism and Clientelism Improper Political Contributions RE: Corruption ashita 12-30-2012 12:58 PM corruption is one of the main issue of our country .
