The current energy model is primarily based on the consumption of fossil fuels for transportation and electricity generation.

Call it fossil fuels to petroleum. At present fossil fuels are used as 97% of the primary energy consumed in the world, 38% is carbon 40% is oil and 19% is natural gas. Our life has become independent of oil and its derivatives and not looking for other alternatives. We can see the oil in many things. In gasoline, plastics, clothing, even in medicine. The consequence that has had our planet because of this is global warming and the depletion of oil reserves, causing irreversible damage. As we know it is increasingly difficult to extract oil. So now we have to establish new strategies and have an optimum hydrocarbon management. ___________________________________________________ But in 20 years, this model will change because of this, and humans will opt for the most reliable sources, abundant and less harmful to the environment. Humans are going to optimize the energy that exists around and turn it into renewable energy such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat. If we travel in a time machine to the future, we will find that 90% of the houses have solar cells and windmills. The cars will be using solar energy, and people will be able to harness the energy generated when you walk. Even the phones are going to charge of battery with simply leave it at the sun. At present the transformers of these energies are high prices. However, there are companies that are looking to improve this and one day, not far away, being able to access all these benefits that the Earth gives us. Today we can see but they are not common in most cities. In 20 years, everyone will have access to purchase any power transformer and start taking care of our environment. In my opinion and as future petroleum engineer, I think, apart from extracting oil, one of our missions is to find alternatives and seek strategies to maximize this resource.
I would implement more awareness of the nature and possible damage we can do. Search for alternative energy and optimize the utilization of this nonrenewable resource.

En la actualidad se utilizan combustibles fsiles como el 97% de la energa primaria consumida en el mundo. Nuestra vida se ha vuelto independiente del petrleo y sus derivados y no buscando otras alternativas. Las consecuencias que ha tenido nuestro planeta debido a esto son el calentamiento global y el agotamiento de las reservas de petrleo. Provocando dao irreversible. Como sabemos cada vez es ms dificil extraer el petrleo. Por eso ahora tenemos que establecer nuevas estrategas y tener un ptimo manejo de los hidrocarburos. Pero en 20 aos, este modelo va a cambiar debido a esto, y los seres humanos optarn por las fuentes ms seguras, abundantes y menos dainas para el medio ambiente. Los humanos van a aprovechar toda la energa que existe a su alrededor y transformarla en energa renovable como la luz solar, viento, lluvia, las mareas, las olas y el calor geotrmico. Si nosotros viajaramos en un a maquina del tiempo al futuro, encontraremos que el 90% de las casa cuentan con celdas solares y molinos de viento.
