1. An area divider shall be designed as a raised double wood member attached to a securely fastened wood base plate that is anchored to the roof deck. Area dividers shall be located between the roof s expansion joints at about 150 to 200 intervals, depending upon climatic conditions. Area dividers are prohibited from restricting the flow of water. 2. The flashing requirements are the same for both sides of the area divider. 3.
