ABUSE CASE 1 1. I felt pity towards Mrs. Green. She is alone and full of anxiety. My feeling towards Mrs.

Green may cloud my judgment towards Mrs. Green. 2. A. anxiety b. looks miserable c. helpless 3. The power is exerted wrongly. The young woman speaks to Mrs. Green harshly thus using her power wrongly and destructively. 4. you have to talk to her daughter. Tell her that talking to her mother in a harsh way wont help her mother. Then if it still continues on your next visit, call for help like social service for intervention. Why? By talking to her daughter, this might help both of them in their situation. But when it still continues you have to report it to social services because there are evidences that Mrs. Green is abused. CASE 2 1. I feel sad for Sarah and want to feel like punching her husband. I want to tell Sarah to leave home. But to feel this way will not be helpful since you as a personal support worker will judge the situation ahead. However being empathetic in the situation will help Sarah gain strength. 2. a. large bruise on Sarahs arm, its purplish and about 10 cm b. Sarah cries in the discovery of her bruises c. She tells you that her husband grabbed her arm and twisted it last night and she begged you not to tell anyone 3. a. when asked about the bruise, she tells you that she just hit the freezer last night b. she defended her husband telling you that he is a goodman and she would have nothing it it werent for him. 4. Sarah is afraid of his husband. She is denying the fact that her husband hurt her because she is afraid not only because of her own safety but because of the newly born child and a 2 year old daughter.

5. First, you have to ask Sarah the truth and ask her what her plans are. Then suggest or tell her the need to report it to the police since there are evidences that shows that she was beaten by her husband. And then, ask Sarah to tell her family about this so that support will be present. Why? You need to establish to Sarah that her husband is dangerous to her and her children. You also need to assess her plans. There is need to report the incident to the police because there is an obvious sign of abuse. The need to inform the family is to get a support system that Sarah needs.

CASE 3 1. as PSW, I feel bad for the Ross family. They seem to be happy at their growing family however after two months they seem to misadjust with the situation. And to see that Mrs. Ross is shaking her son is bad. 2. possible reasons for Mrs. Ross outburst, first, she is feeling the pressure of raising 5 children, three of them are at the same age. And the secondly the problem of Ray, who has evidences of developmental delay. The behavior of Ray seems to bother Mrs. Ray and cant handle the situation properly. This resulted to the displacement of anger to Ray.
