Nelson Mandela, once a young man acvitist in jail for 27 years and now was the first elected President of South Africa.

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918, in Mesvo, South Africa. Nelsons father was an inspiration to him and an influence to the younger generation. Mandela and his siblings had a great education. At one point, one of his teachers decided to name him Nelson, (his birth name is Rolihlahla, without hesitation, he changed Rolihlahla to be his middle name. Despite his good education, a lot of people started to be racist to Mandela because of his race and skin colour and he started to take offense to this and stood up for the black community in South Africa. In 1994 colleagues and important friends and found the African National Congress. This is an organization to fight for the aparthield. The Aparthield is something that regime the black people and the white people from coming together. It prohibits mixed marriage and mixed employment. Nelson got charged for being a avitist and running way from all the people that were trying to arrest him. When he Eventually got caught, during his time in jail, his mother sadly died and wasnt able to attend his mothers funeral. Nelson didnt stop when he was in jail; he kept secretly doing work as an activist. Because of this, When Mandela was in Prison; he kept receiving more and more charges, which lead to life imprisonment. In 1964 a campaign started called RELEASE MANDELA which was showing all over the world to celebrate his birthday. In 1990, Nelson was released from prison. He was the deputy President of the ANC Mandela, in 1994, became elected to be the first black President of South Africa and defeated the Apartheid. His President life was only for a five term. Nelson did basically changed South Africa, no more racism and discrimination. Nelson decided to retire from the public life and become a family man. Recently, Mandela has been diagnosed with cancer, which leaded him to go to hospital. He went in life support in 2013. Michelle and Barrack Obama visited him in the hospital and congratulated him for standing up for the black community. During his life, Mandela received many awards, such as the Nobel Peace Prize and that is his most valuable prize ever. People all over the world admire Mandela and he has people yelling and screaming get well soon outside his hotel room. Nelson has now forgiven anyone who was against him during his activist time

The ANC Is an Organization to oppose the apartheild in South Africa which Nelson led to success
