Testing Playback
4. Power strips and extension cords are always good to have on hand.
We recommend that you run a full test of the video playback several days or weeks before your event. This will give you adequate time to debug issues or acquire any necessary equipment. Some of the earlier videos were recorded in 4:3 aspect ratio while the newer videos are in 16:9 aspect ratio. This may affect the size or positioning of the screens and projectors. If you click to start the video and then pause it, the video will continue to load. This will help alleviate some of the choppiness that can occur during playback. The blue bar

Feminism is a distinct philosophy that shook the underpinnings of society in the early 1960s like a tsunamic earthquake shaking the oceans floor. Its the student of history who understands current culture and is equipped to envision a path for the future, like the men of Issachar who ___understood___ the times and knew what Israel should do. (1 Chron. 12:32) A. The Context: Feminism was birthed in an era of revolution. Revolution is a fundamental change in ______power___________ that takes place in a relatively short period of time. DeBeauvoir proposed that a revolution in gender roles also needed to take place women were the ___second_______ class and men were the ruling class. To live as full human beings, women needed to demand their __demand__, collectively rebel against men, and overthrow all of the societal structures that men had constructed . . . most specifically, they needed to deconstruct Judeo-Christian ideas about marriage, motherhood, and ____morality_.
53
There are basic ____differences____ between men and women that are to be honored as part of Gods design. Naming is a right that belongs to ___God_________. Our Creator names us. He informs us what womanhood is all about. (Isa. 45:9-12, Rom. 9:20-21, 1 Cor. 11:9,12) What is the answer to womans problem? To her yearning? To her discontent? ______Christ_______ is the solution. Christ alone. Naming is a right which belongs to God. It is God who made the earth and created mankind upon it. We have no right to question the wisdom of His directives for our behavior.

Fear victimizes the person. Fear puts stress on the bodyphysically, emotionally, and spiritually. Fear alienates the truth. Fear cripples you. Fear replaces faith. Fear disappoints. Fear is afraid of success. Fear fills the heart with despair. Fear destroys. Had her own pity party. But God wouldnt let her stay there. Resolved to do three things: I wont embarrass You. I wont embarrass my husband. I wont embarrass myself. James 4:710 holds the key. Six imperatives. 1. Submit therefore to God. (v. 7) Have to wave the flag and surrender and submit to God. 2. Resist the devil and he will flee. (v. 7) Need to take a stand. Say, God, Ill submit to you, but also Im going to resist the enemy. Gods Jewels
by Joni Eareckson Tada (True Woman 08) Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him (Malachi 3:1617 kjv, emphasis added). So how do we become jewels that glitter and shine? You need to be ______ like silver and _______ like gold (Zech. 13:9). The core of Gods plan is to rescue us from our own sin. He did that back at the cross, but He continues to sanctify us and conform us to the image of Jesus Christ. First and foremost, that means getting rid of sin. God cares most about teaching us to hate our _____________ and to grow up spiritually to love Himnot about making us ____________. God takes one form of evil__________and turns it on its head to defeat another form of evilour ____ and ____-____________. Suffering is Gods chisel that chips away our pride and stubborn rebellion. The hurting and hammering will not end until we become completely like Jesus. When you obey in small and great ways, thats when you change. You begin feeling this sense of freedom from the bondage of sin and self. You become the Christian that God has destined you to be. Gods idea of good is to make you more like Jesus, which includes learning __________ through __________. If our Savior learned obedience through the things He suffered, should the Master expect less from us? For to this you have been called because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps (1 Pet. 2:21).

2. How can I be a True Woman? Christ calls us to live a life that on our own is impossible for us to live. But He gives us three resources: a. The ____________________ of God. ( 2:11) b. The return of Christ, our blessed _________________. (2:13) c. The ______________________ of the Cross. (2:14) 3. Why does it really matter? Why should we live this way? a. So that the Word of God may not be ________________________. (2:5) b. So that opponents of the gospel will have nothing ________________ to say. (2:8) c. So that in everything we may ___________________ the doctrine of God. (2:10) There is so much more at stake here than our own individual lives . . . we make the gospel believable or not to the extent to which our lives reflect sound doctrine and the gospel of Christ . . . Dont underestimate the impact of being Gods True Woman!

Gods grace in Titus 2:11 is what equips us and empowers us to say, No, to ungodliness. But His grace is also what equips and empowers us to cease our striving and allow Him to be the One who wills and works within us for His good pleasure. If it is not well with your circumstances, that is not what makes you broken. That is simply what God can use to introduce you to your own brokenness. Do not resist that which God has allowed to shape you and refine you and make you a true woman. It may not be well with your soul, but when you come to the cross, youll realize that God has made it well with your soul.

Theres a measure of Girl-Gone-Wildness in all of us. And if youre not intentional about dealing with itand pondering Gods pathyour ways are going to wander. You need to be intentional about womanhood. You need to be intentional about getting wisdom, and getting it from the right source. You need to be intentional about dealing with your wildness. Text: Luke 5 In Luke 5, we find a discouraged, frustrated, disappointed fisherman who is about to meet with Jesus Christ. Simon had abandoned his boat after an all-night fishing expedition. The boat represents __________, ______________, and ___________.
1. In all the chaos of the crowd clamoring for His attention, Jesus saw one fisherman who had had a bad night fishing (vv. 12).
No matter how much chaos is going on all around you, God sees ______, cares about ________, and knows the ________ of ________ ________. We serve a God who is high, glorious, mighty, and worthy to be praised, yet He still chooses to come and meet each of us at the point of our need.
2. Simon had gotten out of the boat and was washing his nets. He was done fishing (v. 2).
There is nothing wrong with ___________ your nets as long as you intend on _____________ them again. There are too many of us living isolated Christian lives, and were trying to tend our nets all by ourselves. The Christian life was meant to be lived in ______________ and ______________.
3. Jesus used Simons boat as a platform to teach the people (v. 3).
The part of your life that you think is ____________ is probably what Jesus is going to make _____________ for His glory and kingdom. Sometimes in His sovereignty, Jesus will allow the platform of your life to be empty of what you want to fill it with because He needs a place to stand. If we fill it with all of __________ __________, there wont be room for ___________ _____________.

6. When they caught so many fish that their nets were breaking, Simon signaled to others to come and help (v. 6).
When is the last time something happened in your life that literally left you speechless? That kind of miracle only happens in the ____________ ___________ of _____________.
Some of you have abandoned your boat. Youve been so discouraged and disappointed, and you sense the Holy Spirit is calling you to get back in there with those emotional nets youve already got tended and cleaned up.
You werent intending on casting them back out there again, but you sense God calling you to invest again. I want to suggest that if He is calling you to the deep, it is because it is a divine setup for Him to demonstrate His glory and His power and His presence to you in your life.

Its natural to think God is being ___________ when He lets awful people run roughshod over you.
One responsewe have to _______ God for allowing the tragedy to happen. The Bible never directs us to forgive God. That implies He has done something wrong. Another responseGod wanted to ____________ the wrongdoing but _____________. So we must take matters into our own hands to make certain that person is paid back in some way.
When you taste the mercies of God, when you know that you are the one who deserves to be nailed to a cross, it changes everything.
Father, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps (1 Pet. 2:21).
141
Justice is when we get what we do deserve, and that is hell. Mercy is when we do not get what we deserve, and that is salvation. Grace is when we get what we dont deserve, and that is forgiveness, peace and joy, strength in our weaknesses, an audience with God through prayer, a home in heaven, an inheritance with Christ, and service in Gods kingdom for all of eternity, and so much more!
Forgiveness clears a path for our lives to be content, but most of all it frees us to come purely before the throne of our wonderful Savior. Will you show pity like that? Can you show compassion on those who have offended you? Can you forgive as Christ has forgiven you? Will you receive His mercy and not extend it to someone else?

A Call to Revival
by Pastor Bill Elliff (True Woman 12 )
Text: Psalm 85 There is something important that we desperately need to know or remember. Something that we should believe and respond to. Something that could make all the difference. Something that could result in the deliverance of perhaps millions of people and rapid expansion of the gospel. We need to know and believe that God can still send mighty nationwide, worldwide ____________ and _______________.
Revival is the extraordinary movement of the Spirit of God, that produces extraordinary results. ~ Richard Owen Roberts
Why do we need to cry out with the psalmist for revival?
1. We cry out for revival because only ___________ can save us.
Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? (v. 6) We are in trouble. Thousands of churches declining, dying 1500 pastors a month, fifty a day leaving the ministry. There are many great churches doing great things, but its not changing the spiritual and moral free-fall of our nation.
We need a course correction that can come only by the divine intervention of what the Bible calls and history understands as real genuine revival and awakening.
One of the most common patterns in the Scriptures is the __________ of revival and awakening. The church of God is in a time of ____________. Its followed by ____________. Which is followed by a time of ________________. The people ___________ ____________. Then _______________ comes. People only cry out when theyre desperate and have exhausted other possibilities. They only cry out when they know that nothing else can save them.
149
What happens when God chooses to manifest Himself and the people cry out for Him? It revives the ________________. It _______________ the lost. It transforms the ________________. It ________________ the mission. The purpose of revival is to get the church back in its rightful position, sharing Christ with a needy world so that Gods kingdom could come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
3. We cry out for revival because He is ____________! Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him (v. 9).
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land (2 Chron. 7:14). Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you (James 4:8).
We often feel as if were waiting on God, but I wonder if God is waiting on us. Ive told you what to do. Why dont you turn? Why dont you pray? Why dont you cry out to Me? And then see what only God can do.

Its easy to seek the Lord together at a conference, with great sisters. And we want to stay in that place. But thats not Gods way. _________ __________ isnt here and now. Its then and there. Weve got a long road between here and there.
God can use your influence. But be patient; wait for Gods timing and harvest. Dont grow weary in well doing. Dont let the enemy cause you to throw in the towel because it doesnt happen right away. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to those around you.

Teenage Girls and Their Mothers Pray that . . . They would fill their hearts with truth. They would live above the lies of this culture. Their prayer lives would be a living, loving conversation with the Lord. They would live pure, godly, self-controlled lives in this corrupt generation. Women Struggling in their Marriages Pray that . . . They would walk in humility before the Lord and live lives of worship. God would give them a desire to glorify Him in their marriages. Revival would begin in their hearts and that it would overflow into their marriages and homes. God would do an Ephesians 3:20 work in their marriages and homes that would affect their children, other marriages, their churches, and their communities. God would bring revival and a demonstration of the gospel through their marriages. Single Women Pray for . . . The helping, healing, hopeful hand of Jesus into each of their lives. Those who are longing for a godly husbandthat the Lord would grant the desire of their hearts if that is His will, and that however He answers, those desires would not become demands. God to satisfy their souls, in a deep way, and in the way that only Christ can. That the Lord would meet their financial, physical, and protection needs. That those who are lonely would know the Lord is with them. They would serve the Lord with wholehearted, undivided distraction. For those of us saying Lord, send revival and start it in me. Pray that the Lord would . . . Awaken our hearts. Give us tenacity in seeking Him. Help us to be women who display His glory in the way He created us. Reveal sin in our lives. Remove all obstacles that keep us from experiencing His fullness, grace, freedom, and power. Pour out a spirit of repentance, humility, and brokenness into our lives.

21-DAY HEART PREPARATION EMAILS Day 18: What Are You Waiting For?
From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.Isaiah 64:4 What kind of person does God respond to? Who is the most likely candidate for revival? Who will be the next to see the usual order of things turned upside down in a mighty season of divine refreshing and empowering, as the mountains tremble at His presence (Isa. 64:1)? According to the prophet Isaiah, God moves powerfully on behalf of those who wait for him. When we use that wordwaitwe typically mean it in a passive sense. We say were waiting for summer to get here, or the school year to end, or a package to arrive. Its not something were thinking about all the time. Only when something jogs our memory do we focus on it. But the Hebrew word for wait used in Isaiah 64:4 is an active word. It means to tarry, to long, to cling or adhere to. It has the sense of something that is uppermost on a persons mind. The psalmist expressed this sense of earnest longing when he said, My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning (Ps. 130:6). If youve ever worked a night shift or sat up through the night with a fussy infantyou know how eagerly you wait for the morning to come! God promises to meet (Isa. 64:5) with those who wait for Him in this way, those who attentively, expectantly incline their hearts toward Himstanding on tiptoe as it were to get a glimpse of His glory. And thats what revival is, reallyan encounter with God. That meeting may take place on a personal level or as a family. It may be an unusual visitation of Gods Spirit that engages your entire church or communityor even engulfs an entire nation. But it begins when God responds to those who want nothing other than Him, who have little else on their minds but desiring Him, whose hearts are truly waiting for Him. What causes us to wait with such intensity for things that are much less important than our need for Gods intervention? What would waiting for God look like in your life?

TRUE WOMAN MANIFESTO CEREMONY How to Host a True Woman Manifesto Ceremony
Thank you for your desire to host a True Woman Manifesto Ceremony! You can download copies of the Manifesto, or you can purchase Manifestos in packets of ten. Here are just a few guidelines to help as you prepare: The tone of the ceremony is importantit should be solemn and prayerful. Create an environment where women feel the freedom to signor not signthe manifesto. You dont want women to sign it just because someone else is. You want them to know what theyre affirming and to realize that when they sign this, theyre essentially dying to self, personal plans, and desires. Begin the ceremony with prayer. Explain things such as the history of the manifesto, our opportunity and responsibility to be biblical women, and the need to share this message with our world. If youre feeling stuck, go to TrueWoman.com scroll to the end of the transcript For Such a Time as This, and read how Nancy led the women through the True Woman Manifesto signing at True Woman 08. Ask the women to stand, and read through each portion of the manifesto. Either select a few women to read up front, or have every woman read a paragraph. Or you can show the True Woman Manifesto in video form. Look for the True Woman Manifesto on ReviveOurHearts.com. Affirm the words of this manifesto before the Lord by having the women say, Yes, Lord, after each commitment if it is something their hearts resonate with. (You might even want to purchase Yes, Lord! Handkerchiefs for the women to wave as a sign of surrender.) Have extra pens on hand, so the women can sign the manifesto together. Encourage them to keep their copy somewhere where it will remind them of their calling and commitment. You may even want to sign and frame the poster version of the manifesto (available online). Remind the women to sign the manifesto online! (This is important for the movement, as TrueWoman.com is the gathering place for all manifesto signatures.) Another option would be to collect the perforated sections of their

CONCERT OF PRAYER
Concert of Prayer
The following Concert of Prayer led by Daniel Henderson from Psalm 85is just an example of how to lead a prayer meeting based on a passage of Scripture. Feel free to choose a different passage of Scripture and make it your own.
Prayer Point:
In a whisper, thank the Lord for the grace He has shown you lately: for salvation, your family, in your marriage, when you needed strength, when you looked for direction, when you were discouraged
Sing: A song like Thank You Lord for Saving My Soul (Seth Sykes) Transitional Comments:
Read Psalm 85:1: Lord . . . You have brought back the captivity of Jacob. You have delivered us from the hands of our enemies.
Leaders Prayer:
Lord, I praise You that You have delivered meand usfrom the power of darkness. You have translated us into the kingdom of Your dear Son in whom we have redemption through Your blood. I thank You that You have delivered me from the bondage of my sins and the captivity and the strongholds that held me in my bitterness and unforgiveness. How You have delivered me from the wrath I deserved and delivered me from my unbelief. The life that I now live, I live by the faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Prayer Point:
Take a moment to think of His delivering power in your life. Whisper a prayer of praise for His deliverance.
208
CONCERT OF PRAYER
Transitional Comments:
The psalmist says in Psalm 85:2, You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; and You have covered all their sins. How many of their sins? All their sins. Arent you grateful tonight that in Christ you are the righteousness of God in Him? He who has been forgiven much, loves much. Lets express our praise back to Him with hearts of love.
Prayer Point:
Turn and find three or four other ladies and say, Lord, I want to praise you that you have forgiven me of . . . Be specific as You give Him praise for His forgiveness tonight.
Leaders Prayer:
On the heels of that, we must turn and say, Lord, we are needy. Thank You for the psalmist as he now acknowledges what he needs. In verses four and five he says, Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease. Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?
Transitional Comments:
In response to His grace, amazing deliverance, forgiveness, and mercy, you might want to say to Him, Lord, tonight I recognize that my sin is still before You tonight. I ask You to restore my heart back to You.
Prayer Point:
Express that to Him personally with a prayer of longing for His cleansing, a prayer of seeking restoration. Saying, Lord, let me respond to You by being honest about my need for Your restoring grace, for Your mercy upon my ongoing struggles. Draw me close to You. In these moments of quietness, you can stand, you can sit, you can kneel. And would you just quietly let this be your prayer: Lord, I recognize how You feel about the sin in my life that violates that intimacy and that stands in the way of seeking You. I ask You to restore me back to You. For the next minute or two, would you just make that your personal response to the Lord?
Leaders Prayer:
I thank you, Father, that You have provided a way for us to have access to Your throne without fear. I thank You that before time began, You knew us.
209
CONCERT OF PRAYER
Lord, You know the heart of every woman in this room. So we come to You and ask, Lord, would You restore our hearts so that we can be the women You have called us to be? Not in our own strength, power, or ability, but only because of You. Would You allow us to be women who live with open hands so that You can give us whole hearts that look like You to a watching world? Thank you for giving us the gift of Yourself and access to your throne.
Transitional Comments:
This psalm so beautifully progresses in verses six and seven, And will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation. Lord, because You have given such forgiveness, grace, mercy, and deliverance, we want our hearts to be pure before You. We want to be restored, and so now, Lord, will You not revive us again as Your people?
Prayer Point:
In your prayer group, specifically and sentence at a time, would you pray for the Lord to revive you? It may be your heart, spiritual passion, something in your marriage, in your family, in your church. Where do you need to live again in the fullness of Christ? After each person prays, as a group repeat line, That we may rejoice in You.
Transitional Comments:
There is one last point of focus Im going to ask you to pray together about. I love what verse eight says concerning an awareness of God, I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Jesus says, These things I have spoken to you that in Me you might have . . . What? In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. Why? Because I have overcome the world. One of the great works of revival is that we have a peace. No matter whats happening in this world, no matter how uncertain or how difficult the journey may be, in Him we have peace. The Bible says the Lord will speak peace to His people.
Prayer Point:
Lets ask Him to speak peace to our hearts tonight. Pray together about those areas in which you just need Gods peace to move into your life, to heal a relationship, to strengthen a situation. Find those ladies and lets pray as we seek a revived heart, trusting Him for His peace tonight.

CONCERT OF PRAYER
Transitional Comments:
As we have prayed through the Psalm 85, we have adored God for what He has done. We have acknowledged what we need. We have asked Him for what He wants to give. We have become aware of what He wants to say to us by speaking peace to us. We want to end with the assurance of what God can do. Thats really where this psalm ends. It ends with a vision of what God accomplishes in our hearts when we are revived. Psalm 85:913: One will say surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him. I love the last declaration of praise as to what revival is all about. The psalmist says, that glory may dwell in our land. Do we need Gods glory to dwell in our land? Do we need His glory to dwell in our homes and in our hearts and churches? Thats what its all about. The glory of God. I describe it as the magnification of the person of Christ by His people, and the manifestation of the presence of Christ by His people After each one of these verse segments, we will respond to it together loudly and boldly by saying, that glory may dwell in our land. Surely His salvation is come unto all those who fear Him (together) That glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. (together) That glory may dwell in our land. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. (together) That glory may dwell in our land. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Amen. (together) That glory may dwell in our land. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway. (together) That glory may dwell in our land. Say it one last time, with believing faith and praise . . . (together) That glory may dwell in our land. Believe He can do it. Give Him praise tonight as we celebrate His reviving power.
Scripture is taken from the New King James Version.

In 2008, a friend I attended the True Woman conference in Chicago. My husband and I had just started a church in our living room the year before, and I came to the conference overwhelmed, disappointed, bitter, and empty.God set me free at that conference! I left the conference sure that God wanted me to take what I learned to the ladies of Narrow Road Churchto help them find joy and purpose in loving God and living according to His Word. Within two months, the changes that True Woman 2008 made in my life, marriage, and ministry were evident and many women wanted to know more. A year later they were still evident. That is when God put it on my heart to buy the DVDs and host a weekly event at our church. We started our first True Woman Wednesdays in January 2010.Many womens lives were transformed. In 2010, fifteen women from our church attended True Woman in Indianapolis. In February 2011 we started True Woman Wednesdays again with the 2010 DVDs. We wanted each Wednesday to feel like the ladies were coming to an event or retreat. One lady was in charge of hospitality and decorations each week.We put together folders for each lady with a syllabus, a white handkerchief, and a Lies Women Believe bookmark. I watched the DVDs ahead of time and put together discussion guides to add to their folders. We also gave them a new bookmark, pamphlet or booklet as a party favor to help them learn more about what it looks like to be a true woman. By the end of the twelve weeks, they had some full folders! The ladies sat in tables of six with a table leader at each one. After watching the videos, they worked through the discussion questions and had a time of prayer together. It was wonderful! Marriages are being changed, babies are being born, single women are finding purpose and hope in Christ, women in major trials are facing them with endurance and unshakeable faith, and a new womens prayer ministry has been birthed! Interview with Revive Our Hearts What made you decide to do a mini-retreat? After attending True Woman 08 in Chicago, I knew I wanted to share the message! Nancy had encouraged us to not look for the big things to do for God, but to be faithful in the small things. God used this to speak to my heart about having a mini-conference in my home. I prayed about whom to invite and sent written invitations. Ten women responded very favorably, even though most of them had never heard of Revive Our Hearts. Interestingly, most of the women didnt know each other, either. We had women from five different churches present and there was such as Spirit of sensitivity, transparency, and unity among us. It was an intimate gathering where each woman felt free to share and respond, as God led us. Can you describe what you did as a group during your mini-retreat? The True Woman event materials prepared by Revive Our Hearts were a huge help to me in planning. I made a folder for each lady with our schedule, speaker bios and websites, and paper for notes. The suggested schedule in the events packet for a Friday evening/Saturday conference provided an outline. We began after dinner on Friday and ended about 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, having watched six messages. Each of the ladies shared in the cost of materials (DVDs, Yes, Lord hankies, True Woman manifesto) and food. After watching each DVD, we had quiet time to gather our thoughts, share with each other, and pray. I used one or two of the discussion questions provided for each video. After brunch on Saturday, we had extended time alone with God. Some sat on the deck, took a walk, or sat in the living room while one of the women played the piano softly. It was a very moving sight to see all of us responding to the teaching wed received! We ended the day by reading aloud and signing the True Woman Manifesto and watching the wrap-up video of the Chicago Conference. The two days ended too quickly! What were womens responses to the weekend? I realized that trust is an all-or-nothing thing with Christ, even if things never work out the way I think they should. We may never see the results of our faithful obedience, but that doesnt make God any less trustworthy.

Gods Word was shouted loud and clear and the path well defined. Now we can be on our way and be about purposefully pursuing Him in every area of our lives. I am filled with much anticipation at what God is going to do as I allow Him to hammer away, reforming me into His workmanship!! I truly surrender . . . Yes, Lord!! What have you seen God do in the lives of these women since you had the retreat? God continues to urge us to carry the message to others in our spheres of influence. One woman will offer the DVDs as an eight-week study. Three of the moms want to get their teen daughters together to see Mary Kassians presentation and the message on Esther. I am now planning an afternoon tea for the teens here at my house. How have you been personally impacted by the mini-retreat you organized? It was a great pleasure to share these messages with women whom I love and highly respect. Knowing that God will use the message of True Woman in their lives, as He has in mine, brings great joy to my heart. We can change the world, one woman at a time! Brynda Filkins Charlotte, Michigan
Although we are a relatively small church, God enabled us to host a mini True Woman conference for 200 women. The credit for this conference goes to God, who began stirring the hearts of several women from our church. These women, who had been to some of the national True Women conferences, starting way back in 2008. They were convicted and moved by God in their own marriages and prayed fervently to God for an awakening among the women of the church. I cannot stress enough how much we prayed. We formed different committees and assigned a point person to lead each one. Each lady in charge of the committee built her own team, and the group planned their jobs together. It was amazing to see how God provided each lady with just the right gift for each of the assignments. These were the different committees: Food: We served Saturday breakfast and lunch Advertisement and Registration: They were in charge of designing and distributing flyers, sending letters to area churches, printing programs, and calling radio stations.

Housing: This group took care of arranging housing for out-of- town attendees and greeting ladies on the day of the conference. Program: At first we thought we would just use DVDs from the national conferences. We prayed about the theme of the conference and started to choose which DVDs we wanted to use. As we prayed more and started researching the possibility of having live speakers, God blessed us with Kim Wagner and Carrie Gaul!! (speaker team with Revive Our Hearts) Bag Ladies: These ladies filled bag with goodies . . . from water and a wrapped snack for Friday night to pens, note pad, Kleenex, Life Savers, a compact mirror (to match our theme), and booklets and bookmarks (compliments of ROH), etc. Prayer Warriors: We imitated the True Women conference idea and had our men from the church volunteer to pray during the whole conference. We also had a prayer area for the ladies if they so desired. Book Table: I understand this may not be possible in every state, but we were blessed to have the opportunity to sell ROH materials because of our proximity to their headquarters in Michigan. Decorating Crew: They made banners, decorated different rooms, etc. How did we finance it? Well, this is the best part. From the very beginning, we sought permission and counsel from our church leadership, and with their blessing, we planned it. We made an announcement to the body of the need for donations. We got quite a bit from that. We tried our best to keep registration costs down, and with various incentives, our cheapest registration fee was $20.00 and the late registration was $25.00. God is so faithful. The Conference started Friday evening with one session and ended on Saturday by 5 pm. We were able to have four speaking sessions altogether, plus our senior pastor opened the event with a short message. As mentioned before, we had 200 women attend a bold prayer warrior prayed for this specific number. God was magnified. If you are considering hosting a conference, please go for it! God will give you the wisdom to plan it and accomplish His purpose. One lady said, Thank You for making this happen. Our church is small and not everyone can afford to attend the national conferences, but you all have made it possible to hear what we need to hear by bringing the message closer to home.
