Duas from the Qurn:

Our Lord! Make not our hearts to deviate after you have guided us aright, and grant us from your
mercy; surely you are the most liberal Giver.
[3: 8]

....

Our Lord! Surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of
the fire.
[3: 16]

Repentance & Laylatul-Qadr

( Bukhri)
Told us Abu Mamar told us Abdal-Writh told al-usain told us Abdallah ibn Buraida from Bushair
ibn Kab al-Adaweya who said told me Shaddd ibn Aus from the Messenger of Allah (peace be
upon him), who said: The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: Allahumma anta
The Prophet (peace be upon him) added - If somebody
recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be
from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before
the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.

Told us Qutayba ibn Saeed told us Jafar ibn Sulaymn a-ubaee from Kahmas bin al-asan from
Abdallah bin Buraida from Aisha, she said: I said: - O Messenger of Allah, what is your view if I know
when the Night of al-Qadr is, then what should I say in it? He said: Say: O Allah, indeed You are
Pardoning, [Generous,] You love to pardon, so pardon me (Allahumma Innaka Afuwun [Karimun],
Tuhibbul-Afwa Fafu Anni.).

( Bukhri)
Told us Yaya bin Sulaymn told me ibn Wahb informed me Amru from Yazid from Abu al-Khair who
heard Abdallah bin Amr (say) that Abu Bakr a-addiq said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon
him): O Allah's Messenger, teach me an invocation with which I may invoke Allah in my prayers. The
Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Say: O Allah! I have wronged my soul very much (oppressed
myself), and none forgives the sins but You; so please bestow Your Forgiveness upon me. No doubt,
You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

( Muslim)
Told us Ubaidallah ibn Abdil-Kareem Abu Zura told us ibn Bukeer told me Yaqoob bin AbdarRaman from Musa bin Uqba from Abdallah bin Dinr from Abdallah ibn Umar, who said: Allah's
Messenger (peace be upon him) supplicated in these words: O Allah, I seek refuge in you from the
withdrawal of your blessing and the change of your protection (from me) and from the sudden wrath
of you, and from every displeasure of yours.

Remembrance & Glorification of Allah

(Sunan Abu Dawd)

Raman 2013 [RMCRBPt2]

Told us Muammad bin Esa who said told us ibn Ulayah from al-ajjj bin Abi Uthmn from Abu
Zubayr who said: I heard Abdallah ibn Zubayr saying on the pulpit: When the Prophet (peace be
upon him) finished the prayer, he used to say (at the end of the prayer): 'There is no God but Allah,
Alone, Who has no partner, to Him belongs the Kingdom, to Him praise is due, and He is Omnipotent.
There is no God but Allah to whom we are sincere in devotion, even though the infidels should
disapprove. To Him belongs wealth, to Him belongs grace and to Him is worthy accorded. There is no
god but Allah to whom we are sincere in devotion, even though infidels should disapprove.

Sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him)

Surely Allah and His angels bless the Prophet; O you who believe! Call for (Divine) blessings on him
and salute him with a (becoming) salutation.
[33: 56]
There are dozens of aadith upon this matter from various channels all outlining the command to
send blessings upon the Prophet and how to do this. Including all of these narrations would be
prohibitive for this short crib sheet, particularly since almost all collectors of adith have recorded
them. The narratives can be found in the books of Muslim, Abu Dawd, Tirmidhi, Amad, Ibn
ibbn, Nasi and others. For our purposes, suffice is it to mention just one of the narrations upon
this matter.

( Bukhri)
Told me Saeed bin Yaya told us (from) his father told us Misar from al-akim from Ibn Abi Layla
from Kab bin Ujra; it was said: O Allah's Messenger - we know how to greet you, but how to invoke
Allah for you? The Prophet said: Say - Allahuma alli ala Muammadin wa ala alli Muammadin
kam alayta ala alli Ibrhima, innaka ameedun majeed. Allahuma brik ala Muammadin wa
ala alli Muammadin kam brakta ala Ibrhima innaka ameedun majeed.
