Developmental Activities 1. Motivation/Presentation Coconut is a tree that grows on any type of soil in the Philippines. It also grows in any tropical region in the world. It is found in the three big islands of the country, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. This is attributed to the fact that the tree is a tropical plant. Coconut is considered as a tree of life. All parts of the coconut are very useful. Its leaves can be weaved into a basket. The midribs of its leaves can be made into brooms, used for cleaning tough dirt on the floors and nooks in and outside the house. Its oil can be used into perfumes, soaps, shampoos and many others. Most importantly, its fruit is nutritious, that can be eaten raw and can be processed into a lot of food products. Its water juice is very popular here and abroad. Now, coconut is a big source of income. Soon, our country will earn dollars out of it. 2. Discussion A.
