MOTIVATION LETTER
To whom it may concern, My name is Tran Thi Kim Phuong, 5th year student from Faculty of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Da Nang University of Science and Technology. I am very happy to introduce myself to Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund and from that, I can approach the Lawrence S. Ting scholarship. With many achievements in study and my effort, I strongly believe that I can satisfy the conditions of the scholarship. I am very interested in technology and some related domains from the beginning of high school. My hobby is reading books and watch some scientific channels, studying some famous scientists and their great inventions. I like to investigate some simple machines in my family and some logical games, that why I try my best to become an engineer thought I am a girl. I overcame many difficulties in study and a lot of good students to pass the entrance examination to Da Nang University of Technology, one of the famous Technology Universities in my country. Once studying in my dream university, I will not allow myself to stop trying, I attempt more and more to affirm my ability. Now, when I am a grown student, my dream is not only becoming an engineer, but also a very good engineer and I can contribute to society by using my capability that I learned in university. Up to now, all school years at university, I was kind of good. My scores were in the top group of students in the same course, which has the percentage of boy is more than ninety. Each of A score I got is a step bringing me closer to my dream as well as motivating me. Besides studying at class, I also participated in Science Research about Telecommunication with the teachers in my department. The Research requires a lot of effort and money. In the studying process, even though getting the scholarship for good student, tuition was still my concern. My parents retired, their pension was just enough to cover the expensive costs of the urban life. My family had to put aside for a long time to save enough money for my tuition fee as well as my Research, which always made me concerned. Therefore, I was very excited when getting the information about Lawrence S. Ting scholarship and your humanitarian activities. So, this will help solving my concern about the tuition fee. Also, I am really interested in social activities. Within 4 years, I have attended a lot of social activities at my school as well as my local such as blood donation and summer volunteer. This makes me interested in Lawrence S. Ting

Memorial Fund and eager to be given the scholarship. If I receive the scholarship, I will definitely use it for the study and research purposes. The scholarship will be a big motivation for me to chase my dream, without worrying about the budget. Finally, once again I would like to express sincere thanks to Lawrence S.
