Chemistry Scoring Guide for the Profile of a Scientist Project Oral Presentation

10 Your presentation indicated that your group prepared well and took pride in your work. Scientific concepts were illustrated and thoroughly explained. ! An introduction, body and conclusion were evident in your presentation. ! Your presentation indicated that members of your group performed the research necessary to accurately present your scientist and to provide relevant details about his/her life and contribution to science. ! The skit was creative, interesting, and held the attention of your audience. ! You did not read your presentation and you used no notes. 8 Your group prepared for the presentation. ! You presented the details of the scientists life with limited knowledge about his/her scientific work. Scientific concepts were illustrated and marginally explained. ! An introduction, body and conclusion were partially evident in your presentation. ! You explained and told the audience a great deal about your subject. ! Your skit was adequate and held the attention of the audience most of the time. ! Your presentation was done using note cards, but it was not read. 6 You did not prepare adequately for the presentation. ! Your explanation of scientific concepts was not logical at times and some facts are inaccurate. ! It was difficult to tell if you have an introduction, body, and conclusion to your presentation. !
