Three Ps Be Prepared Be Punctual Be Professional

Equipment

You are expected to have all of the equipment necessary for you to work in your area. A list of this equipment will be presented to you along with this contract. You should have this with you, on-site, at all times. Everyone is likely to be required to go on visits on location or to museums or galleries, which can sometimes cost a small fee. We try to keep these costs as minimal as possible and we will give you as much notice as possible if you have any costs coming.

Punctuality and Attendance

BE IN: Just like when you work in the industry, as a part of Miskin Arts you are expected to be present to all of your sessions. If an absence, due to illness or other reason is unavoidable you need to call a member of staff responsible for your area prior to the absence. The contact details are available on Tumblr. BE ON TIME: There are no excuses for lateness to workshops, lectures, tutorials or studio sessions. Its your job to get yourself in and ready for the beginning of your sessions. Avoid the awkwardness of not being allowed into the studio or workshop by planning ahead and allowing yourself extra time to travel.

Respect

For Each other - you have a responsibility to your fellow Miskin Arts members. For Lead Artists, Designers and Photographers - They can make you look stupid For Yourself - that means, value your contribution by taking care of yourself when you are creating, keep healthy.

SUN, SEA AND SORRY NO

HOLIDAYS cannot be booked in company time. Holidays taken without prior consent will have a serious impact on your training. PHONES - dont bring them into the workshops or studios unless the ringer AND the vibrate are turned OFF. Phones are a distraction and can seriously disrupt the work. Switch them to airplane mode if you want to use it for notes. You must make sure you dont take calls or texts in any workshop or studio time. Taking a ringing or vibrating phone into a studio or workshop means youve taken yourself out of that session.

Disciplinary Process
The following are understood to be reasons for issuing a formal disciplinary:

Persistent absence You would not be able to succeed in the industry and will not be able to succeed here. Repeated lateness - set your alarm and stop relying on your mum to get you out of bed. You cannot enter sessions late, information wont be repeated. If you care, be there. Disruption - to the work of others. If you want to act like a child, go back to school.

Personal Responsibility

PASS THE SOAP - Personal hygiene must be maintained from day to day. ENJOY Miskin Arts and the facilities, but safely. Any workshops should only be entered when there is a member of staff present.

You will only get out of your training what you put into it:
COPYRIGHT- Photograph, film and recorded evidence taken during workshops or studio sessions remains the sole property of Miskin Arts. By signing the declaration you are consenting to usage of your image being used throughout and following your training. THE MISKIN NAME- Our name is important to us and will become very important to you. To this end you need to be aware that use of Miskin" on the net or on social media is seen by everyone and we expect it to be used with care and respect. Bringing the Miskin into disrepute is taken seriously by us.
