Learning Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: a) recite the poem 'Mr. Nobody' with expression and intonation simultaneously within 5 minutes. b) identify at least 5 true or false statements correctly based on the poem individually within 15 minutes. c) answer at least 2 out of 5 multiple choice questions correctly related to the poem individually within 10 minutes. c) design a 'Wanted Poster' pertaining to the information from the poem in groups of 4/5 in 30 minutes. Educational Emphases: a) Learning How to Learn Skills Students are taught to enhance their reading skills by learning how to develop their skimming and scanning skill. Students are taught to improve their speaking skill by exposing them to participate in a group work presenting information orally. b) Multiple Intelligences Students are exposed to the use of interpersonal skills by engaging themselves through cooperative learning activity. Students are exposed to the application of intrapersonal skills by completing the exercise without help from others. Students are exposed to the application of verbal/linguistic intelligence by completing the task and presenting information orally.
