FireBolt Introduction
FireBolt is a download software for phone, developed by borqs(beijing).It can download the suffix .MFF file. At present, two kind of phones are supported, SPARK and Jadespring. The current Firebolt newest edition is 1.0.15

How to enable the Flash Mode

JadeSpring enters the flash mode
Press the round key at the top left of the phone when powering the up phone. And press the key with 2~4 seconds. The phone will enter the flash mode.

Spark enters the flash mode

Press the flash key when powering the up phone, or Serial port input F key. The

phone will enter the flash mode.

Download process
Launch Firebolt , When the USB device connect is incorrect, or phone has not
entered Flash Mode. The red icon will appear like follow:

When the USB device connect is correct and the phone has entered Flash Mode. The
green icon will appear like follow:

Click "..." button to select the "*. mff" file, As follows:

Click on "flash" button to start downloading files:

After the success of the downloading files, Flash successful will be displayed in the Status column as the below picture.

Log file
Under normal circumstances, FireBolt do not generate Log files. After program run,
Presses Ctrl+L key combination to generate Log files. In general the log files loactes in

C:\Program Files\Borqs\Borqs Firebolt\. That is the information of downloading process.

Driver installation
Jadespring driver installation
There are two drivers will need to install. The first is to be installed before download, Select BORQSOBM.inf. After installation, the Device Manager displaysBorqs(R) Driver: Borqs OBM USB
Host Driver

The second is to be installed during the middle of the downloading, Select

BORQSDKB.inf.

After installation, the Device Manager displays Borqs(R) Driver: Borqs

Ramdownloader USB Host Driver

Borqs OBM USB Host Driver

Launch phone to enter the Flash ModeConnect to the PC through the UBS line. Open the device manager. If the USB device did not identify: Borqs(R) Driver: Borqs OBM USB Host Driver. Need to update drivers. In the following chart, with an exclamation point of the drive has question.

Right-click on the device like the the following chart:

Click the Update Driver, and then select Install from a list or specific location, the following chart will appear:

Next, select Dont search. I will choose the driver to install.

Next, select Have Disk

Select BORQSOBM.inf in the installation package, the general location is C:\Program Files\Borqs\Borqs Firebolt\BorqsDriver The following chart:

Next, driver will copy the system folder, As follows:

Finally the a dialog will prompt installs successfully!

With this step, the first driver have been installed.

Borqs Ramdownloader USB Host Driver

After the files chooses, to launch FireBolt to download those. When the USB device to open a second time, need to install driver. Installs the method with first time, only chooses BORQSDKB.inf file. After installed, the Device Manager displays:

Spark driver installation

The two drivers will need to install. The first is installed before download, Select acatusb.inf. After installation, the Device Manager displaysMarvell PTK Tavor BootLoader
Device Driver

The second is installed before download, Select acatusb.inf. After installation, the Device Manager displaysMarvell PTK Flasher Device Driver
Here's how:

After the files chooses, to launch FireBolt to download those. When the USB device to open a second time, need to install driver.
