ABSTRAK Permasalahan penyakit merupakan masalah yang cukup kompleks sehingga mempunyai kompetensi khusus dalam dunia kedokteran,

karena penyakit meliputi prinsip-prinsip pengobatan yang berkaitan dengan macam-macam penyakit, serta penelitian dalam lingkungan biologis. Oleh karena hal tersebut, maka Sistem Pakar Diagnosis Penyakit diharapkan menjadi sebuah alternatif bantuan bagi pasien dalam memperoleh informasi mengenai kesehatannya secara otomatis memberikan informasi menyerupai saran dari dokter. Bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan sebagai pembangun sistem adalah PHP, sedangkan untuk pengelolaan data basenya menggunakan MySQL. Disease problem has become a fairly complex problem in the world of medicine so that it has its special competencies, because its involving treatment principle which related to various of diseases and biological research. Therefore, the Dis1ases Diagnosis Expert System is expected to become an alternative for the patients to gain their health information automatically which resembling as doctors suggestion. The system was build using PHP language and MySQL as the database. Dalam pengembangannya, dimulai dengan tahap penilaian permasalahan penyakit yang terjadi dengan kompleksitasnya sehingga dapat ditentukan tujuan perancangan sistem pakar untuk dapat membantu masyarakat dalam mengetahui informasi mengenai penyakit. Dari penilaian tersebut kemudian dibangun basis pengetahuan yang didapat dengan proses pengambilalihan pengetahuan dari sumber pengetahuan buku yang dikeluarkan oleh Departemen Kesehan RI untuk kemudian diorganisir dan dipelajari secara terperinci sehingga diperoleh pengetahuan yang dijadikan sebagai basis data dalam basis pengetahuan sistem pakar yang dibangun. On its development, it begun with assessment phase of the disease with all of its complexity so it can be determined the purposes of designing the system for help people to knowing all information about disease. Result of that appraisement will then build a knowledge base where it obtained by expropriation knowledge process from the book and guide which has been released by Indonesian Department of Health and it will be a database for the Expert System that is being built. Pada tahap perancangan sistem pakar, basis pengetahuan yang didapat dari proses pengambilalihan pengetahuan kemudian direpresentasikan dengan menggunakan model kaidah produksi, sementara itu dalam mengembangkan mesin inferensi teknik yang digunakan yaitu forward chaining. Dalam mendeskripsikan alur program digunakan dua pendekatan, yaitu Activity Diagram untuk mendeskripsikan mekanisme kerja aplikasi sistem pakar yang dirancang untuk mendeskripsikan proses aliran data yang ada dalam aplikasi sistem pakar yang dirancang.

Nilai kemungkinan penyakit ditentukan dengan nilai probabilitas suatu gejala yang dikonfirmasi pada pilihan jawaban dan dikelompokkan.
