Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies

Original Recipe Yield 4 - 6 dozen Ingredients 200 g white sugar 220 g packed light brown sugar

225 g butter 235 ml vegetable oil 1 egg 15 ml milk 500 g all-purpose flour 6 g salt 3 g cream of tartar 5 g baking soda 5 ml vanilla extract 60 g chopped walnuts 335 g semisweet chocolate chips

Directions 1. Thoroughly cream sugars, margarine, oil, egg, milk and vanilla. 2. Add dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips. 3. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8-12 minutes. (Cookies are light in color when done.) http://allrecipes.com

INGREDIENTS:
3/4 pound butter or margarine 3/4 cup shortening or corn oil 1 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed 2 cups sugar 2 eggs

1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 cups flour 7 ounces flaked coconut 1 package (12 ounce size) semisweet chocolate chips 6 ounces pecans, broken

DIRECTIONS:
Combine as listed and shape into 2" balls 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes. Transfer at once from baking sheets to paper toweling to cool. These freeze well either before or after baked.

2 cups butter 4 cups flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 cups granulated sugar 2 cups brown sugar 5 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal & blend in blender to a fine powder) 24 oz. chocolate chips 1 tsp. salt 18 oz. Cadbury bar (grated) 4 eggs 2 tsp. baking powder 3 cups chopped nuts (your choice) 2 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Cadbury bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 122 cookies.

"Famous Amos" Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients: A: 2 cups butter. 2 cups granulated sugar. 2 cups brown sugar. B: 4 eggs. 18 oz chocolate bar, grated. 2 tsp essence vanilla. 1 tsp salt. C: 4 cups flour. 2 tsp baking soda. 5 cups blended (fine powder) oatmeal. 2 tsp baking powder.

D: 3 cups almond nuts, chopped. 24 oz chocolate chips. Method: 1. Cream A till well blended. Add in B and cream till smooth. 3. Add in C, mix till well blended. 4. Lastly, add in D and mix till well combined. 5. Drop a teaspoonful of the dough into the greased pan and press it with fork. 6. Bake at 170C for 10-15 minutes.

Famous Amos Muffins Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1 egg 3/4 cup skim milk 1/4 cup canola oil Preparation: Heat oven to 400 F. Spray muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and chocolate chips; mix well. In small bowl, beat egg. Stir in milk and oil. 1 Cup Butter, Softened 3/4 Cup Firmly Packed Light Brown Sugar 3/4 Cup Sugar 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 1 tsp. Water 2 Medium-sized Eggs 2-1/2 Cups Sifted Flour 1 tsp. Baking Soda 1/2 tsp. Salt 2 Cups Coarsely Chopped Pecans 1 Package (12 oz.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Pieces Beat softened butter, brown and white sugars, vanilla, water and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy and thoroughly blended. By hand, stir in flour, baking soda and salt until well mixed. Stir in pecans and chocolate pieces. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Allow 1 to 1-1/2" between cookies for spreading.
