Hinduism is a fascinating religion or belief system if you want to categorize it as such. Hindus make up approximately 14 percent of the worlds population. That is a pretty large group of people that believe in a system of tolerance, acceptance, and spiritual enlightenment.

Hinduism has nine core principles by which they conduct their lives around. These principles are what drives the Hindu belief system (a) Hindus believe in a one supreme being. This being is transcendent, immanent, and unmanifest reality. (b) They believe in the four Vedas. They claim the worlds oldest scripture. They believe that these hymns are gods word and the bedrock of the Sanatana Dharma the eternal religion. (c) They believe that the universe goes through cycles of dissolution, preservation, and creation. (d) They believe in Kara the laws of cause and effect. (e) They believe in reincarnation. (f) They believe that the Supreme Being resides in an unseen world. By rituals, temples and worship they can create a communication with god. (g) They believe that enlighten master is key to knowing the Transcendent Absolute. (h) They believe that all life is sacred to be loved and cherished. (i) They believe that no religion teaches one to the path of salvation over others. That all religions are facets or paths to God.

The meaning of Hinduism

These beliefs are what makes Hinduism so popular in todays society. Those beliefs listed came from (www. himalayanacademy.com/basics/nineb/). Hindus are spiritually enlightened for the most part. They are one religion that is considered to be one of the big five religions in the world. Only Christianity, Islam and non-religious groups are larger than the Hindu religion.

The cultural and social impacts of Hindu are wide spread! They can be felt all round the world today not just in the region that Hindu sprang from. Hinduism is primarily practiced in India and parts of Asia. Hindu had tens of thousands of temples threw out India and Asia. Hindus live and let live practices and other theologies are what bring people from all over the world to live and practice Hindu at those temples. Their acceptance of all peoples is another reason that Hindu is gaining popularity across the planet. Hindus have greatly impacted their culture and the worlds culture by the sharing of their belief system and their accepting nature. They have impacted food, books, world diversity, and tolerance. If more of the world was as accepting as Hindus we would not have wars, famine, and homeless people. Hindus do that by teaching acceptance of all and any!

Hindus are a large majority of the Indian population. Therefore they play a large role in the Indian economic machine. Though many Hindus that live at monasterys, and temples do give up all possessions to the place that they worship at. Some sects of Hindu teach that worldly possessions are trivial and do not matter in the eyes of God. Threw self-sacrifice and diligence they will obtain enlightenment and ascend to the next level of existence.

The meaning of Hinduism Hindus believe that the only way to enlightenment is threw selfless acts and the total respect of all things that live on this planet. By keeping to these beliefs they think that all live and everything is neither good nor evil and that everything here on earth is sacred. Hindus also believe that life is liberation from rebirth since Hindus believe in the reincarnation of souls after their current life has ended. Threw all aspects of rebirth and karma is how a person is judged at the end of the cycle of rebirth and life. Once all of the reincarnations have been exhausted can

ones soul find the higher plane of existence and peace with the Divine one! Hindus also believe that they have an no harm anything that lives on this planet whether its plant, animal, or really anything that is on mother earth. This can come in the way of words, thoughts, or deeds. It is a total zero tolerance policy about violence this too is in their thought of enlightenment on the way to ascension! Their beliefs are what drive the Hindus. Hindus and Buddhist beliefs really should be the world model for acceptance and tolerance.
