ITM University, Gwalior is situated in a picturesue campus spread over 175 acres along the foot hills of Vindyachal ranges. There are no franchisees or study centers anywhere. 75% attendance in all courses and adhering to UGC norms is mandatory. Fees of each course is determined on the basis of norms as specified by Hon. Supreme Court & no commercialism & profiteering is involved. Capitetion fees is not charged. All payments are on due receipts. Any complaints of violation of these should be immidiately reported to Vice-Chancellor/Managing Director/Registrar.

ITM NATIONAL ENTRANCE AND SCHOLARSHIP TEST (ITM-NEST)-2012

ITM-NEST is a countrywide entrance test conducted for admission-cum-scholarship for various programmes of ITM University. ITM-NEST is a online standardized test to measure a candidates knowledge and aptitude for a given course. ITM-NEST can be taken at a large number centres throughout the country. It is a unique endeavour of ITM University, Gwalior and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) that offers a credible, transparent and reliable platform to admission seeking students in various courses. The Test is designed in order to choose the best of the candidates that are eligible to study the course of his/her choice and pursue an excellent career out of it. ITM-NEST 2012 exam can be taken any time during a fortnight in the month of April and May 2012 as per filled choice.

Schedule of ITM-NEST 2012:

ITM-NEST will be conducted on different dates in the month of April and May, 2012. ITM University has a right to reappropriate dates based availability of test centers.

The test will be online at select places where online test is not possible, offline test will be conducted. The question paper will contain objective type questions in 4 [Four] parts as indicated below: PART-I Basic Mathematics PART-II - Reasoning PART-III - General Awareness PART-IV Communication Skills The total time for test will be of 90 minutes . Each part has 25 questions and each question carries two marks. Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer One negative mark per wrong answer. The Question paper will be in English. Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, pagers and cellular phones is strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Candidates are also strictly forbidden from carrying any textual material-printed or written, bits of paper, envelope or any other material into the examination hall except the Admit Card.

Admission Forms are available online at www.itmuniversity.ac.in as well as at Counselling Cell of ITM University at Gwalior (M.P.) and ITM Universe at Vadodara (Gujarat). The Application Form for the Entrance Test, can be obtained against a cash payment of Rs.150/- from the Counseling Cell, ITM University, Gwalior or by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of ITM University, payable at Gwalior, with a covering letter addressed to Director (Admission & Counselling), ITM University, Gwalior, requesting for the Application Form and indicating their complete postal address. On receipt of the DD, the application form will be sent by post. Candidates should write their name, Mobile Number and address on the reverse side of the DD.

Alternatively, students can download Application Form for free from the website of ITM University, Gwalior Candidates can also apply online at http://www.itmuniversity.ac.in/Admission-ITMUniversity/ (online applicants need to pay Rs 500/*- online).

Returning the Completed Application (offline):

The Application Form duly completed should be checked if all the items have been correctly filled and appropriate codes indicating your exact choice have been put in the right spaces provided against each. Your Application Form should be sent along with a Demand Draft: A. Along with form printed in ITM-NEST BROCHURES Rs. 350/-. B. Along with downloaded/Photocopied Application Form Rs. 500/*-. Documents are to be sent through Registered Post / Speed Post so as to reach the ITM University: Opp. Sithouli Railway Station, NH-75, Jhansi Road, Gwalior (M.P.)-474001 positively on or before March 31, 2012. Notes: Incomplete Application Form shall not be considered and no correspondence shall be made in this regard. The Application Form once sold shall not be taken back under any circumstances nor the application fee, refunded in any case. The last date for the receipt of completed Application Form at ITM University, Gwalior is March 31, 2012. Any application received after last date will not be accepted. Any delay in receiving the application by the candidate will not be considered a valid reason for late submission. e-Tracking through SMS / Internet:

For the benefit of the candidates, the following arrangements have been made to inform the status of the application, venue of the entrance examination and results. Once the application is received at ITM University,Gwalior a message will be sent by SMS to the candidates stating that their application has been received at ITM University,Gwalior. This would however be possible only if the mobile number is correctly shared in the Application Form. The candidates may also track the status of their Application by typing their application number in the ITM University,Gwalior website. However, this feature can be availed of only after about 2 weeks of dispatch of their application. Once the Admit Card is processed, this information will be sent to the candidates mentioning their roll number and the examination centre. This information can also be viewed through the website. At the time of publication of the results, the rank wise result will be available in the ITM University,Gwalior website.

The Admit card will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application forms complete in all respects on or before the last date. Admit cards will be sent by e-mail and can also be downloaded from the ITM University, Gwalior website.. Candidates must not tamper with the Admit Card or alter any entry made therein after it has been authenticated. The Admit Card is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence. The Admit Card will contain your name, Registration. no. photograph, signature, address, test schedule and a set of instructions for you to read carefully and prepare accordingly for the test. The Admit Card once received should be carefully examined by the candidate. Any discrepancy as such should immediately be brought to the notice of the Admissions Officer. No candidate will be permitted to write the test without a valid Admit Card. The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilator for verification. The Admit Card is an important document. It should be preserved and produced at the time of counseling and Admission.

Admit Card:

Non-receipt of Admit Card:

1. In the case of an eligible candidate, whose application form is incomplete (For eg. Declaration not signed, no signature below the photograph, photograph not affixed on the application form, address not clearly written etc.), the application will not be processed for the issue of an Admit Card. ITM University, Gwalior does not take the responsibility to inform such candidates. Candidates are advised to doubly check that the application form is complete in all respects before posting. 2. In case a candidate does not receive the Admit Card by 08 of April 2012, he/she should make it a point to report the same immediately to the Director (Admission & Counselling) and if he / she does not receive the Admit Card before the examination date. He/she would

have to meet ITM Representative one day before the examination at the centre with a copy of the application form and two attested passport size photographs, identical to the one affixed in the application form. All enquiries pertaining to the Admit Card without mentioning application number will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Information concerning exact venue of ITM-NEST 2012 will be communicated via E-mail and SMS.

Results Declaration and Admission:

(A) 1. There is no provision to send the marks of the candidates (selected or unselected) by post. The entrance examination results will be available in the ITM University, website: www.itmuniversity.ac.in. We have also arranged to send results via SMS. 2. Since the entrance test is online. There is no provision for re-grading and retotalling. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 3. A merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in the ITM-NEST 2012 for each course. 4. Students will be offered admission as per the merit list. 5. In courses where GD / PI are a part of admission process merit list will be prepared after adding their marks. 6. First merit list for admission will be declared in the first week of May, 2012. Candidates writing ITM-NEST 2012 in the month of May, 2012 will be considered for admission only for non reported seats. 7. Candidate must deposit full fees within 10 days after information of his/her admission by the University, failing which, the University has a right to cancel his/her admission. 8. If any student seeks cancellation of his/her admission, he/she must apply within a week after the declaration of Admission List. (B) B.Tech./B.Tech. (Hons.) 2nd year/(Lateral entry) ITM-NEST is not a condition for lateral entry, after submission of Application, Admission will be made on merit basis. Other process, as above remain unchanged.

Important Instructions pertaining to ITM-NEST -2012


There wil be different papers for UG and PG. The Admit Card should be kept safely and brought to the examination. It should be produced on demand. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card issued by the Institute shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances. Candidates will be permitted to enter the Examination Hall only on verification of their Admit Card. The Registration Number (as given in the Admit Card) should be entered in the specified place in the response sheet. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall after 10 minutes of the start of exam. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before total time alloted for the exam. Each candidate will be allotted a seat indicating his or her Admit Card. The candidate should find out and occupy the allotted seat. If this is not done his / her candidature shall be cancelled. During the examination time, the invigilator will check the Admit Card to verify the identity of each candidate. The candidates should bring their own black ball-point pen of good quality. This will not be supplied by the University. A signal will be given at the beginning of the examination and at half time. A signal will also be given before the closing time, when the candidate must stop marking the answers. The candidates should sign in the attendance sheet at appropriate places. The Admit Card should be preserved and produced for verification at the time of counselling / admission. Violation of any instruction and adoption of any unfair means in the examination hall will make the candidate ineligible for admission. 1. When does the application process for the Academic year 2012-13 start? The application process for the Academic year 2012-13 has started. A student may apply on-line or Downloaded Forms from ITM University, Gwalior website or procure forms by post and send the same by hard copy. 2. What is the last date of submitting Admission Form? The last date of submitting admission form is March 31, 2012. 3. Do I need to send any certificates with the application form? No. If a student is short listed for the evaluation process he/she would need to carry these then. 4. Is there a provision of any entrance test to secure admission into the courses of ITM University? Yes. To secure admission to any of the courses of ITM University, Gwalior, ITM National Entrance and ScholarshipTest (ITM-NEST) is mandatory. 5. Can you tell something more about ITM-NEST? ITM-NEST is a unique endeavour of ITM University, Gwalior and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Using this window a student can take online entrance test at any approved centre throughout the country. Though ITM University reserves the right to change the centre depending on the number of applications on any given centre. In select cases ofline can also be conducted.

Depending on the number of students an offline (pencil & paper) ITM-NEST may be conducted in select cities. Alternatively, you may be reappropriated to a near by test centre.

10. How can I deposit my Admission Form? Admission Form can be deposited at the Counseling Cell of ITM University Campus at Gwalior and ITM Universe at Vadodara as well as the same can also be filed online (faster way). ITM-NEST 2012 will be conducted in the month of April and May 2012. 14. Can I reappear in ITM-NEST to improve my score? No. In summer session you can appear once for the list of courses opted by you. You have to take ITM-NEST again to secure admission in the next winter session (option available in a few courses) or next summer session. 15. When the results of ITM-NEST will be declared ? A. The result of students who have return ITM-NEST 2012 in the month of April 2012 will be declared in the first week of May, 2012. B. The result of students who have return ITM-NEST-2012 in the month of May 2012 will be declared in the last week of May, 2012. 16. Howll I come to know regarding my results? The results will be communicated to you at the e-mail provided by you. Additionally, you may be informed via SMS. 17. Is there some provision of getting scholarship ITM University, Gwalior? Yes. All students who appear in ITM-NEST and secure a percentile between 90-100 have a chance to get a fee waiver of 20 percent of tuition fee of the first semester/ trimester of the course. This facility is available in each course/branch to the cap of 10 percent of total seats. In subsequent semesters option of earning Chancellors Scholarships is available. 18. Whether Ill get any weightage for my marks that I secured in IIT-JEE, AIEEE, CAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GATE and other entrance tests conducted on All India basis for different courses, at ITM University, Gwalior? Yes. Through a process of normalization those score will be converted and added to the list of scores secured by other students who took ITM-NEST. In case they make into merit, they will be offered admission. However, if such students seek any tuition fee waiver then they have to take ITM-NEST and fulfill the conditions mentioned at point no. 17. 19. Can I deposit Annual Course Fee in two parts? Yes. The fee can be paid in two installments, one at the time of admission and the remaining part during the month of January. 20. What is included in Annual Course Fee? Annual Course Fee includes Admission Fee, Prospectus Fee, Tuition Fee, Examination Fee (does not include re-examination fee), Enrollment Fee, Sports Fee, Library Fee, Club Membership Fee and Laboratory Fee. ITM Universe Campus at Vadodara is situated on the bank of Vishwamitri River amidst orchard greens of Mangos & Sapodillas (Checkoos) owned by the trust at village Paldi, on Halol highway. The Campus is 20 minutes drive from Vadodara Airport and is in pollution free natural surroundings near Dhanora Lake. An industrial growth centre at Halol, 19 Kms from the campus, is coming up with huge investment and potential for jobs. ITM Universe through its UG level & Polytechnic students will also cater to the manpower needs of Halol Industrial Area. Initially, the ITM Universe Vadodara Campus phase 1 has been constructed on 50 acres land in phased manner. It started in September 2010 and will continue till 2015. By the end of 2015 this campus will have more than 5 lac square feet of constructed institutional area and other additional amenities spaces. The famous Vadodara School of fine arts will find its contemporary reflection in the campus by permanent display of paintings & sculptures in its various academic & amenity spaces.
