CT Funding Available for Hurricane Sandy Damaged Historic Properties

Under Public Law 113-2, the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has been
awarded $8,014,769 to provide technical assistance and emergency repairs to historic and
archaeological resources which were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
On behalf of the National Park Service, SHPO has developed the Hurricane Sandy Disaster
Relief Assistance Grant program to aid in the restoration of properties listed on or eligible for
listing on the National Register of Historic Places which were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
This grant program is available to owners of historic resources including: private property
owners, municipalities, non-profits, and corporations.

The grants awards range from $2,500-$500,000 and will be awarded based on funding
availability.
