INTERNSHIP United Nations World Food Programme Private Partnership Division - Rome, Italy Duration of Internship 28 October 2013 28 January 2014 Description of Internship The Online Fundraising Team is looking for an intern who can give support with everyday activities. During the workday, from 8:30-17:00, the intern will have the opportunity to experience the inner workings of WFP and the management of online fundraising and communications. Candidate Requirements Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies; Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program; Be fluent in English; Be familiar with Excel Display excellent communications skills, with particular focus on written communications and reporting Display exceptional organizational skills; Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines; Ability to work in a multicultural environment; Drupal experience / knowledge of content management systems a plus Terms of Reference The Intern will work under the supervision of the Online Fundraising Manager. In coordination with the Online Fundraising Team, the intern will be responsible for the following duties: Regularly monitor the Community Inbox, responding to supporter inquiries in a timely and thoughtful way and dispatching relevant emails to other designated colleagues; Produce monthly metric reports, fundraising campaign reports, and other ad-hoc reports as requested; Support coordination of the monthly online newsletter by collecting content and drafting copy; Support online copy writer with drafts and ideas for online donation forms, thank you letters, email updates, social media, and other communication tools as needed; Conduct research and consolidate findings on a variety of topics (including online trends, successful online fundraising campaigns, etc) as needed; Maintain the Outlook and Google calendars which consolidate fundraising, outreach, technical developments, online content and other key timelines; Support of team related tasks upon request, i.e. organize meetings, take notes for the record, etc; Personal Responsibilities and Stipend Interns are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas (for travel only) and arranging their travel to WFP in Rome. All costs are the responsibility of the intern, but upon commencement the intern will receive a stipend of USD 700 per month.
