Infraorbital region superiorly: infraorbital margin inferiorly: base of mandible medially: nasolabial groove laterally: anterior edge of masseter muscle 4. Parotideo-masseteric region superiorly: zygomatic arch inferiorly: base of mandible medially: anterior edge of masseter muscle laterally: vertical line anterior to ear includes: retromandibular fossa (parotid nest) superiorly: zygomatic arch inferiorly: posterior belly of digastric muscle posteriorly: mastoid process and SCM medially: styloid process and stylo-muscles anteriorly: masseter and medial pterygoid muscles 5. 1. Submandibular triangle anteriorly/medially: anterior belly of digastric muscle posteriorly/medially: posterior belly of digastric muscle laterally: base of mandible 2. Submental triangle laterally: anterior bellies of digastric muscles posteriorly: hyoid bone 3. Carotid triangle superiorly: posterior belly of digastric muscle anteriorly: superior belly of omohyoid muscle posteriorly: anterior edge of SCM 4. Median region of neck diamond-shaped region superiorly: hyoid bone inferiorly: jugular notch of sternum laterally/superiorly: superior bellies of omohyoid muscles laterally/inferiorly: SCM 5.
