TRANSCRIPT – SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN (0601)

Greetings, everyone. Iran is the number one terrorist-sponsoring nation in the world, and
they’re about to get the nuclear bomb, and of course, they could even pass on nuclear
devices to terrorists. And now President Ahmadinejad has said that the little nation called
Israel in the Middle East should be swept off the map, and he made that statement very
boldly before the world, and he’s, of course, saying that should be done in the name of
God. In the name of God. Could God be behind such madness as this?

Well, Revelation 12:9 says that Satan has deceived the whole world, and of course, that
has to include the Christian world. Satan has deceived the whole world. Now, this is a
frightening truth, and how many churches, how many religions really do believe that and
teach that and talk about that? Well, I don’t hear any of them really discussing that.

Now, it also says in II Corinthians 4:4 that Satan is the god of this world. The god of this
world. Do people understand that? And why don’t they discuss it, if they do? And what
does it mean to you? Is Satan really the god of this world, and has he really deceived the
whole world?

Well, I’ll tell you something even more shocking that God prophesied that in this end
time, that Satan would actually conquer God’s own Church. That is, the majority of them.
So who really understands the devil? I mean these are sobering scriptures that ought to
make any of us look into this much more deeply, because if Satan has done all that, if he
even deceives most of God’s own Spirit-led people, well, then, that is alarming beyond
words to describe.

The book of Revelation prophesies about a synagogue of Satan being inside God’s own
Church, the Church that’s doing His Work, or did the Work in this end time, and
continues to do it.

Let me read that to you in Revelation 3:7. (7) And to the angel of the church in
Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath
the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man
openeth;

(8) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can
shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied
my name.

So God’s Church did His Work, but something happened at the same time that is
terrifying.

Verse 9. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are
Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before
thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

So here is a synagogue of Satan. Now, a synagogue is just a congregation or a gathering,

a gathering of people. That’s what it means. It can be large or small. But here it’s a
congregation, let’s say, within a congregation, and other scriptures show it’s the majority
of God’s people, and this is referring directly to that Philadelphia Era, that is the sixth era
in this end time, but a great Work was done in that era. But in spite of that, there was a
synagogue of Satan inside that Church.

Now, that’s explained in our booklet on The Royal Book of Revelation, and we’d be
happy to send you a free copy to explain that to you. But here is a congregation within
God’s own Church, and God calls it a synagogue of Satan. In other words, Satan has
gotten a hold on those people, on ministers and laymen, and has a strong hold in that
Church. I mean, how could he have such a strong hold if he didn’t deceive the ministers,
as well?

Well, obviously Satan has gotten to the ministers, and yet there is a little remnant that
God says, “You go ahead and do the Work, and I’m going to make them come back and
worship before your feet.” In other words, come back to God’s truth and admit that it was
right, because they turned away from it. But there’s always a royal and loyal little group
that does God’s Work.

But here you have to think about this, because if Satan can deceive God’s own people to
that degree, you have to say, well, this is something really quite serious, sobering, and
even dangerous, and we all need to be concerned about it. So how can we, how can you,
individually, know that you’re not deceived by the devil, and conquer him? Because that
is, in fact, what we have to do if we’re going to rule with Jesus Christ when He returns.
And that’s going to happen very shortly. Now we’ll see that in the very next era there,
that’s going to be here when Jesus Christ returns, but in the very next era Satan took over
that era. From the synagogue of Satan he actually onquered the Church, and it became
what is called in the Bible as the lukewarm or the Laodicean era. Now let me read that to
you in verses 14 and 18.

(14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith
the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

(18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and
white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do
not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Now, these are people that have turned away from God. The lesson here is, once Satan
gets a foothold in the Church of God, or any place else, pretty soon he’s going to conquer
it, the whole Church, unless something is done. That’s true of an individual. It’s true of
you. If Satan gets a foothold in your life and you don’t deal with it and you don’t reject
him, then he’s going to deceive you along with the rest of the world.

Look, we have to take this seriously; the whole world has been deceived. The whole
world! Well, it means the whole world, and that’s talking about all of us unless we have
gone to God to get the understanding to know what God is talking about here, and how
sobering this is, and how dangerous, even, the knowledge of God is. So we, as an
individual, have a responsibility to take care of the devil, frankly, and that’s what Christ
did, so effectively, and said, “Now I want to show you how to do it.” And He certainly
did do that.

Then Satan conquers a Church one by one; that’s how he conquered 1/3 of the angels—
just one by one deceiving them—and perhaps in groups, as well, but certainly each
person had to be deceived.

Now, this is the Laodicean Era, the era in which Jesus Christ is going to return. He’s
going to return right at the end of this era. This is the last era. You’d think if anybody was
ever going to be acutely alert, they would be alert now, just before Christ returns to the
earth. But just the reverse has happened to God’s people, most of them, the majority of
them. That’s what it says in Matthew 24, the majority.

But notice verse 20 and verse 21, and we’ll see how to deal with this problem. 20 Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come
in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

(21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also
overcame.

Even as I also overcame, Christ says. We have to do it the way He did it. … and am set
down with my Father in his throne. Now, Jesus Christ had a head-on collision with Satan,
the devil, not only one time but throughout His ministry on this earth, and it says in
Matthew 4:4 that there was this titanic struggle between Satan and Jesus Christ, and Jesus
Christ won, and Satan had to retreat in a miserable defeat.

So how can we do what Christ did? Now, you and I (it says here) have to overcome, even
as I, Christ says, or even as Christ overcame, you and I have to overcome. We have to
overcome the devil! That’s how we qualify to rule with Christ, and if you note, in the
Bible it says that Satan is going to be sent away into that outer darkness, and so he’s not
going to be around during the Millennium, so now is the only time when you really have
to overcome and conquer the devil. But Christ says, now, “If you do that I’ll let you rule
with Me over the whole world, and help Me teach the whole world the truth of God, and
the truth about the devil.” But they certainly don’t have the devil to fight in the
Millennium, but we do have one to fight and conquer today, and God is going to reward

us certainly in the same measure because we are, after all, overcoming in a way that they
won’t have to in the Millennium.

But it says there in verse 20 that Christ is knocking on the door. It’s like He’s knocking
on the door and says, “I want to get in.” In other words Christ has to live in us.

Philippians 2:5 says, (5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

So He’s knocking on the door of the Laodiceans, saying, “Let Me in, and I’ll remove this
blindness and this wretchedness of your spiritual condition.” You see, He’s not living in
them; that’s their problem. And if Christ lives in us we’ll overcome just the way he
overcame, and we’ll conquer the devil, and he’ll flee from us, God says, if we do this.
Otherwise, he will deceive us and do a lot worse if he can.

Now, we have a new booklet that tells you how to do that. It’s on the Ten

very good step-by-step program on how to conquer the devil, and how to let Christ live in
you, and you’re going to be a spiritual powerhouse, thankfully, if that happens. That’s not
your doing, it’s not your power, it’s the power of Christ, and amazing things are going to
happen in your life and in your family, and in whatever pursuit you have. That’s just the
way it works.

Notice verse 7 of Revelation 12, and we’ll talk a little bit more about this war that we’re
in with the devil.

Verse 7 reads, (7) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought
against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

(8) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

No more place for them. Now, that’s an end time war. An end time war between the
angels and the demons, if you can imagine that. And yet how many people know about
that greatest of all wars in this end time, just before Christ returns, between the angels
and Satan and the demons? And Satan is cast out of heaven. And he lost that battle, and
he’s not happy about it. Just the reverse of that. He’s very unhappy.

But here we read about, really, the greatest war in this end time, and Satan was involved
in that, and yet how many people really believe that Satan is that real, and that there has
been a war, and he’s no longer allowed to go up before God’s throne, and he’s confined
to this earth? And that’s bad news for us in the short run. Very bad news. But how many
people know about that and really believe?

See, now what happened and what is it bad for us.

Notice verse 9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil,
and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his
angels were cast out with him.

Satan and his demons were cast out, and there’s no more place for them up there in the
heavens beyond this earth’s atmosphere. God won’t allow them to go up there anymore,
but now he’s been cast down to this earth, and he’s about one thousand times more
deceitful and more deadly than he would normally be, because he knows his time is about
up. He knows that. And so God turns him loose on us on this earth, and we’re going to
see some horrifying events unfold.

But who believes that? I mean I tell you there aren’t enough people that believe that.
There aren’t that many that believe that, but it’s recorded in your Bible in a number of
places, and we ought to be thinking about it because it is affecting what is happening on
this earth right now in ways that you can see, even, because it’s so dramatically worse
than it was just a few years ago.

Notice what God’s lukewarm people have to do to qualify if they don’t repent now.

Verse 11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of
their testimony;

Now they overcame him by the power of Christ because they repented, and they
overcame the devil.

…and they loved not their lives unto the death.

But they had to die to do it. They had to die to prove their love for God, and spill their
own blood, or they wouldn’t have been able to get into the kingdom of God. Now, these
are God’s own people who were deceived by the devil. That synagogue of Satan that
became the Laodicean era, the last era before Jesus Christ returns. Both of those eras, the
sixth, and the seventh, are in this end time. The rest of them are not. That’s those eras that
continued from the first era that Christ started, right on down to His second coming.

So God’s people who rebelled have to learn the hard way that that’s not really the best
way to do it, but it all started with the synagogue of Satan. It all started with that
deception inside God’s Church, and look where it led them. Look at the pain and the
suffering that they had to endure because they didn’t believe God. They wouldn’t let Him
lead them.

Verse 12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the
inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! …the sea, as well. …for the devil is come
down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short
time.

Woe! The worst kind of woe this earth has even known, the very worst. Because Satan
has been cast down to this earth, and he can’t do anything but just stay right here on this
earth. And is he ever full of wrath! And even the sea is going to suffer because of his
wrath. Certainly the earth will, much more, but even the sea. That’s how bad it is, and
how bad it’s becoming.

First he deceived the world, and then he’s cast out into the world when he has just a little
short span of time left, and he’s full of wrath because he does have such a short span of
time left. That makes him just absolutely enraged. Now, that is certainly seen by events
around this earth.

After all, why would a man, why would a leader in the Middle East make such a
statement of hate and of murder toward another nation, that they have to be all destroyed,
swept off the map? Now, that’s not the love of God, and that’s not the Word of God.
That’s not an act or a deed of God. And you can prove that from your Bible.

And you can prove that your Bible is the Word of God. We have material on that. If
you’re interested just let us know and we’ll certainly give it to you. You can prove that
the Bible is God’s Word. We have a booklet on The Proof of the Bible. You need to
prove these things for yourself because these are the most serious times this earth has
ever known.

Why would a nation like Iran in this world full of weapons of mass destruction, why
would they make such a statement as that? Can anybody stop war with a nation like that?
I mean, it’s inevitable that such an attitude is going to have war. And when you have war
with nuclear bombs, let me tell you, that’s something we never experienced before. It’s a
nightmare that we can’t even describe because we have nothing to measure it with. And
we know it’s going to be so bad that all the human flesh could be destroyed, and that is
exactly what Christ said would happen if He didn’t return and stop it, after a lot of
suffering (Matthew 24:21 and 22).

Another one of those scriptures that, well, we just don’t discuss that. Why don’t religious
people discuss that? Christ talked about these nuclear bombs about 2,000 years ago. He
discussed it. And He was the greatest newscaster that ever lived! And now it’s come to
pass, and people still don’t believe Him. Amazing! That is truly astounding that they
wouldn’t believe Christ after all this has come to pass. That is just something that’s hard
to believe.

Now, the good news is, God says Satan only has a short time. Thank God! Thank God for
that! He only has a short time because after that short time Jesus Christ is going to return
to this earth. He has to or there would be no flesh saved alive. So that’s the best news you
could ever possibly hear, and God is upset with His own lukewarm Laodicean Church
because they wouldn’t warn the world about the devil’s wrath and all these terrible things
that are coming upon the earth and upon this world. They wouldn’t warn them, and they
wouldn’t give them the hope of knowing that Christ was going to return directly after
those terrible events. I mean this is all tied, all these terrifying world events that you see
and you read about in your newspaper and your news magazine and watch on television,
it’s all prophesied right here in your Bible. And it’s all tied directly to the return of Jesus
Christ to this earth.

Notice verse 13. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he
persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

You see, he was cast out, down to this earth, the first thing he did was persecute God’s
Church, really a little flock. No matter how many there are. That’s the first thing he did,
and he just ripped it to shreds. Do you know why?

Because there was a synagogue of Satan there, people who were already greatly
influenced by the devil, and he just tore the Church apart and took over. And deceived all
of God’s people, except maybe about 5%.

Now, you need to think about the danger of the devil. God says in verse 14.

(14) And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into
the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half
a time, from the face of the serpent.

You see, God says, “Look, now, I’ll take care of you. You do My Work. You get the
message out. And you’ll have to flee some time in the future, but I will protect you.
Wherever you are on this earth I will protect you.” What a blessing that is, physically, as
well as the wonderful spiritual blessings that I’ve also been talking about. And that is, of
course, ruling with Jesus Christ to straighten this crazy world out. Surely we can see
something is drastically wrong in this world, and it has to be changed. Man can’t even
survive. Our number one problem is that of human survival!

Now, something is wrong with man. Something is terribly wrong with human beings that
want to kill each other! Where do you get that from the Bible? Well, it’s just the opposite
in the Bible. God says you’d better not do that. That’s what—one of the Ten
Commandments. But we choose not to obey God.

Well, you can see in Daniel 8, it also talks about that. I don’t have time to get into it, but
you can see where there’s a clash, again, between the angels and the demons over God’s
Church. And the truth was cast to the ground (verses 11 and 12). They cast the truth of
God to the ground. That is, the transgressors. The transgressors, that’s right, those who
were transgressing God’s law, the Ten Commandments. Sin is the transgression of the
law (I John 3:4), and the wages of sin is eternal death (Romans 6:23).

You see, we have to get our lives right. We have to know how to obey God, how to
overcome Satan the way Christ did. And I’m telling you, He’s going to give you the
greatest opportunity that you can even imagine. He’s going to give you the greatest
reward that your mind can contain. He’s calling us and saying, “Look, I want to give you
an opportunity to rule the whole world with Me.” And then that rule will extend on out to
the universe where it will be beautified and just made the most fabulous place you’ve
ever seen. That’s what God wants to give us to do.
