The program and tuition fees as well as all other incurred costs such as accommodation, insurance, and excursion
costs will be subtracted directly from the awarded sum. The remaining scholarship that was awarded to the

The completed application form accompanied by a Curriculum Vitae (CV), a letter of motivation (in English or
German), a letter of Recommendation from a faculty member who is familiar with your academic achievements (in
EnglishorGerman),acertifiedrecordofattendedcoursesandgradesfromthelasttwosemesters,confirmationof
current enrolment in a University (you can use a copy of your studentID) and proof of citizenship (a copy of your
passport) must be received at the FUBiS Office by September 20, 2013 (this is the date of receipt, it must be sent

E. Course Selection
Please select either one German course or one subject course with a cross in the left-hand column. A combination of courses is not
possible. The maximum enrolment is 18 students for subject courses and 15 students for German language courses. If your choice
cannot be accommodated because the course is already fully booked, FUBiS will contact you to discuss alternative options.

Applicants must have successfully completed at least one year of study at a university to qualify for the scholarship. Subject courses are
taught in English or in Spanish. For the subject classes we expect language proficiency on an intermediate level as a prerequisite.

Freie Universitt Berlin like most German universities does not own any student dorms or housing facilities. FUBiS arranges
appropriate off-campus accommodation for the duration of the program as an optional service at the students request (accommodation
is subject to availability). FUBiS housing is limited and will be assigned in order of request. Accommodation is available from January 4
to January 25, 2014. For more details, please refer to the FUBiS General Terms and Conditions at www.fubis.org.

I. Registration
All scholarship recipients will be contacted by email by October 18, 2013 at the latest. Attached will be a Scholarship Award Letter and a
Scholarship Response Form. Students will be given 7 days to complete and return the Scholarship Response Form to the FUBiS Office.
Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the award.

to write a final report of one page on their FUBiS experience (due February 9, 2014)
